We have 3 better rbs than current state of Alan Hutton and Ross mccrorie being played at rb with Portsmouth as well. We’ve moved on from those players, there is a reason they are still free agents mate. By ditching tav of captaincy you ll upset the squad, he ll only lose it when and if we decide to accept an offer for him. We ain’t so bad look at the positives and not a few negatives, joint top of league and just put in a top drawer away performance in Porto. There is a lot to be happy about we are definitely moving in the right direction.

Ross mccrorie ain't a right back mate. If portsmouth are playing him there while he's on loan, that's up to them. He won't be playing right back for us, if/ when he comes back from his loan spell, with pompey.

Great performance and good result. Thought we could have finished them off. They aren't a very good side Imo. We should turn them over at Ibrox. El Buffalo again was fantastic. Davis plays better with Jack. Both awesome. Glad he dropped Ojo and Arfield. Thought Kent and Barker did well. Was impressed with Hellender tonight. Barasic had his best game in a gers shirt. Tav has lost his confidence. Great save from Gregg's. Kamara was decent but needs more dig in that MF. Pushed off the ball too easy for me but shows some nice touches.
Overall pleased.

They are a good side, we just played really well and didn't let them play. They were chasing shadows at times 2nd half, some of our ball retention was top notch.

It made a huge difference to our play for the better without ojo and aribo. Our play is a lot more slicker and fluent. 👍.

Terrific performance tonight and a good result against a top opponent. Still think Kamara is a n accident waiting to happen late in a game when he's tired he seems to switch off. Also ojo just goes through the motions for me. Thot Barker was great and Jack what a player he is David is just class. Big mention to McGregor big saves again. Well done Rangers keep it going. C'mon us.

Kamara was brilliant, bit light weight but he can play the quick flowing football we need. Keep him in the team and he will push on. 👍.

Agreed too. Kamara is a nice footballer but too laid back and too lightweight. We need a good attacking midfielder which we are badly missing.

Great point and fair result for both teams. They had the first half and us the second. Some of the football we were playing second half was of the scale, had Kent and Barker been 100% with a few games in their legs then who knows but I liked the look of our line up. let's just reflect, Portos squad is worth in the region of 235 million and are Champions league pedigree and we played them off the park for a large part of that game, away from home. We just need that mentality when playing every team in the SPL.

Great second half tonight, we gave it away too easily in the first half where we appeared a bit nervy. Alfie superb up front again, but a great all-round team display in second half. When you consider what their team is worth compared to us, we really did make them look ordinary at times. Don't know what was said in there at ht, but it worked!

I totally agree with the above comments, some of the football we played tonight was the best I've seen us play for a long time. If we play the same in two weeks time, I can't see us losing. Well done to Barker and Kent who's work rate was terrific despite lack of game time, and Alfie caused them all sorts of bother. Well done to all our players and Management staff tonight.

I have to say Morelos has improved 10 fold as a player this season, looks a completely different player and is scoring big goals for us now. All we need is a few against Celtic and I’m sure we’ll be bracing ourself for some serious bids. Well done SG and the team in a solid performance and a great point!

Holding our breath in January when a bid comes in for Alfie. Honestly hope board stay strong and don’t sell as that will be difference of winning and losing the title. Thought the team were brilliant proud of every one of them.

Yeah I agree Coldo, I think goals against Celtic and a league winners medal are the final pieces of the jigsaw for him. I can’t believe the difference in him, he deserves a lot of credit because You can’t just switch off your initial or gut reaction to retaliate, it takes a lot of control.

The difference in Barasic is also night and day and had it not been for the immense Helander, Barasic would have been the best player on the park. His deliveries tonight were beckham esque.

We will not lose Morelos in January. In fact I predict he'll have another season at Ibrox after this one, unless the bid is astronomical. The Gaffer said often that if anyone wants any of our top players they'd need to bring their cheque book. And for me they'd need to write one that says Pay Rangers FC £30 million.

Hope you're right daisy yore but as we all know money talks and there is a good few clubs wanting to sign alfredo. I would hope to keep him the full season, but if we do sell him in january, our chances of winning the league title would diminish imo. I honestly do think one way or another this will be alfredo morelos's last season in a rangers jersey. So please our board of directors, let it be the full season and him going away with a title winning medal in his pocket!

The difference coop was that we had players willing to run in behind, take a man on and move the ball quick. Our one touch play was exceptional and our goal was just class. We were great all over. Very happy with that performance. 👍.

Agree coldo, our goal was a work of art from kent to barisic and what a ball to morelos who tucked it away like a veteran. I'm most definitely a very happy bear tonight. A special mention to all on here who never doubted to how good a left back, that borna barisic was capable of being.
He's now looking absolutely superb. I hold my hands up as i was prepared to sell him, as i didn't think he was up to the physicality of the scottish game and that's the only reason that i did want him sold, as i always said he was talented. He most definitely looks as if he's got to grips with scottish football now, that's for sure. He was superb tonight.

A lot of people on here seem to be in the know of how bad a captain Tav is. Must be privy to what goes on on the training park, in the dressing room and on the pitch. Steven Gerrard is regarded as superb player and leader, so I think his judgement on who is captain is to be respected, regardless of what we all think. Tav is going through a bad spell atm, he will get back to his best soon and hopefully prove a lot of people wrong.

I don’t actually think he’s anything to prove, in all honestly we should know what we’re getting as he’s been at the club for years now. He’ll will win us more games than he loses, no doubt in my mind. What is frustrating though is the games he costs goals, I. e Hearts, Celtic, Young Boys etc.
He’ll still score and assist us goals but these will more than likely continue to be at home against the smaller teams who we dominate.
I think we’d benefit from taking some pressure off him and perhaps consider playing Flanagan at right back in the bigger games or away from home, as I said in another post, perhaps Ross McCrorie could be a long term solution.
Lastly, as the op has stated, we don’t know what does on behind closed doors, Tav could be being instructed to play a high line and push forward!

SRK my sister lives in Southsea and her husband never misses a Pompey match. The fans down there do not rate Ross at all, and the most common comment is 'send him back. ' They are also highly critical of the manager playing him at right back where he has failed to shine at all. Maybe he's at the wrong club with the wrong coach, but he's certainly not setting the place alight, mate.

Although I love Defoe at Rangers, Andy Cole was the more prolific goalscorer in their prime.

Although defoe is a very good goalscorer himself, i do agree that andy cole was more prolific! Defoe was better for england than cole but at club level i'd have to say andy cole edges it for me. Defoe is between a 1 in 2 to a 1 in 3 striker ratio, whereas cole is even better than a 1 in 2 striker, that's the difference. Although i think defoe is a tremendous striker and prolific in his own right.

I see Kenny Jackett is speaking very highly of our very own Ross McCrorie playing right back for Portsmouth. It’s not a position I’d have expected him to have excelled in due to his size. however, Jackett has specifically highlighted McCrories athleticism as the key to his success at this position. Could he be our long term solution to our right back issues?

Here’s the bottom line on Tav - whether you think he is a good player, bad player or somewhere in the middle - if you think he is good enough to be a first choice player for Glasgow Rangers then that is an incredibly sad indictment of how far standards have slipped. And if you think he is a Rangers captain then you don’t understand this club at all.
