A win tonight hopefully puts qualification to bed and the team can concentrate on the cup final and league for a wee while. πŸ‘.

1.) 28 Nov 2019 11:37:36
Fingers crossed mate if we play the way we did the last 2 away games we should be fine. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§.

2.) 28 Nov 2019 16:39:48
Yeah, but play like we did against Hamilton and it's going to be a long night. Fingers crossed.

25 Nov 2019 12:50:44
Normal service has resumed - home tie in the Scottish Cup!

MrPoppy

1.) 25 Nov 2019 19:49:59
It's a fix!

25 Nov 2019 10:40:27
Another 3 points which is all that matters considering we weren't at our best.
It was good to see Kent take some tips from his mate Ojo ( and me on here πŸ˜‰ ) and add goals to his game.

As Gerrard says, he's slowly getting up to full fitness and what a player we will have on our hands then if he continues to produce the goods.
I read further down that posters are worried about our defence for the cup final.
Do you not think their defence will be worried about Morelos and Kent?

MrPoppy

1.) 25 Nov 2019 12:52:54
We've only played good about 6 games this season when we go nay play better can't see that happening though.

2.) 25 Nov 2019 13:14:07
Only played well for 6 games? We're joint top of the league, in a cup final, with a chance to get through in Europe πŸ€”.

3.) 25 Nov 2019 15:08:41
DSGERSFAN, lol, Mr Happy you ain't, be happy, we're doing great.

4.) 25 Nov 2019 15:46:59
Considering we were away on a plastic pitch an our defence still leaves a lot to be desired, we are grateful for the shaky win an 3 points lads. My heart was in my mouth again till the last minute goal sealed it for us.

5.) 25 Nov 2019 15:52:08
Best position since 2012, on the cusp of European football after Xmas, joint top of the league? SACK THE BOARD lol.

6.) 25 Nov 2019 18:31:24
Gers fan, club is best it's been for some time, playing and position wise. Your assertion would have us in crapper. You could say certain games we've scraped a win, but 5 games, cmon.

7.) 25 Nov 2019 19:51:46
We've been saying on here all season we won while no playing well I'm sure people will back me up on that as for league well finish 2nd, runners up in final and we mite just mite qualified for Europe way this team unless that mob have a bad day here n there shoot me down if you want but I hate to admit it but they play a lot better than us and they defend a lot better.

8.) 25 Nov 2019 19:56:46
I said 6 games.

9.) 25 Nov 2019 22:16:44
We've played well and won dsgerson. I think if we play to our best and they do. We win. If we keep Morelos l think we'll win the league.

10 Nov 2019 19:00:17
Another clean sheet for Tav, Goldson, Helander and Barisic. πŸ‘
How good will we be defensively when Gerrard plays our 'best ' CH Katic and buys a new RB, LB and another CH to appease the glass half empty posters on here? πŸ˜œπŸ˜‰.

MrPoppy

1.) 10 Nov 2019 20:14:06
What about the keeper.
He didn't have good game today
🀣🀣🀣
Three cheers for the πŸ”΄βšͺπŸ”΅.

2.) 10 Nov 2019 20:17:30
Connor Goldson had a great game today. The big fella has even brushed up in his passing. Watching him today if you didn’t know who captain was you would think Goldson was ours. he's really stepped up his game recently.

3.) 10 Nov 2019 20:44:35
It was great to keep a clear sheet today, Livi have been prolific at home scoring a whole 4 goals which is one better than St Mirren who are bottom of the goals scored at home league with 3.

The back 4 in line with the rest of our team were excellent today, we completely dominated them from start to finish but let’s not lie, we were never going to be tested against Livi.

4.) 10 Nov 2019 21:16:23
SRK they tested us plenty last time. They also own a victory over the (self proclaimed) superstars from the smelly end of Glasgow. I thought we looked great, Borna is class and Goldson after a wobble has been outstanding last few games.

5.) 10 Nov 2019 21:16:35
Sir rock they tested us in the cup game so don’t get where your getting this from we dealt with them today some people are never happy.

6.) 10 Nov 2019 22:09:24
Please bear in mind that they beat the Dhims at home and us last season.

7.) 11 Nov 2019 00:32:59
Really do like big katic but the back 4 are playing well, and have the jerseys on merit, big goldson after a shaky few weeks has been top class recently.

8.) 11 Nov 2019 07:03:48
Sorry if I wasn’t clear with my point, they’ve scored 4 goals at home this season which is the second lowest in the league. They are set up to be aggressive and hard to beat, not to score loads of goals or create loads of chances.

Let’s see how our back 4 fair against better teams before coming on the forum and challenging people’s opinions about our best 4 defenders.

The back four currently have been playing outstanding although I’m still concerned that in harder games Tav will be found wondering.

9.) 11 Nov 2019 08:36:34
SRK Tav has kept it simple the last couple of games and done really well. I know your name has Katic in it, but it's hard to see past the back 4 just now. Keeping Porto out at home and they needed a wonder goal at the Dragao as well.

10.) 11 Nov 2019 08:39:18
Harder games like Porto?

11.) 11 Nov 2019 08:52:23
I agree SRK, livingston are very poor and we should not be put under any sort of pressure by a team with their limited resources. They are the run of the mill games we should be winning particularly when as you say they have only scored 4 goals at home so far this season. We have been exposed defensively against the better sides but we look more settled now that we don't have excessive changes in personnel every game. It was a comfortable and professional performance against a side that we should never have any problems beating. The big names are still waiting and I hope they don't force another name change as a fourth name would be embarrassing even more so than the 2nd or 3rd. πŸ‘.

12.) 11 Nov 2019 09:24:48
My point is SRK you can't vilify the back 4 when they make errors but not praise the same players when they rack up clean sheets no matter who they are playing. πŸ‘
And FYI, the dodgy Tav has been involved in clean sheets in harder games against Porto, Feyenoord, Aberdeen and Legia ( twice ) already this season.

13.) 11 Nov 2019 09:36:43
We held up well against a good porto side, I did fear the worst particularly in the first half as the were bombarding us and it did look as if it was just a matter of time before they scored, the whole team has to take responsibility for that not just the defenceπŸ‘.

14.) 11 Nov 2019 13:41:48
Your point would have been better made against Porto, instead your made a point against a really poor Livi team and you’ve had a go at people who have made valid points about our back four in bigger games.

15.) 11 Nov 2019 16:03:26
Ha DK I am beginning to think you are my alter ego . was just about to post β€œ like Porto β€œin response to rock, then I saw you did it . Ps did Feyenoord score against us? . my goodness Man City lost three yesterday . can’t always expect to get what we expect.

16.) 11 Nov 2019 16:07:59
Anyone who ever knew anything about football knows that plastic pitches are generally a quality leveller . Not all the time, but certainly some of the poor ones in Scotland . They have always been a thorn in our side.

17.) 11 Nov 2019 16:33:11
So is it the teams fault when we concede goals then? πŸ€”
Because that's a change of thought on here when we normally just like to vilify individual players ( depending on who they are obviously ) for mistakes.

18.) 11 Nov 2019 17:12:07
As much as I hate us playing on plastic I feel we are starting to master it. Used to feel players struggled to move and turn and hardly put in tackles.
This season I have seen a marked improvement.

19.) 11 Nov 2019 22:59:17
It can be when we don't press or play as a team but mostly this season goals conceded have been down to individual mistakes. The porto game for example we lost our shape, we weren't winning second balls, we weren't playing. The game at tynecastle, tav's fault. Its quite easy to differentiate between both (depending on who you are of course) . The big names lye in waitπŸ‘.

20.) 12 Nov 2019 09:48:45
Katic never won his first aerial dual at Hearts. So he wasn't helping out his teammates.
Katic never picked up Edouard after Goldson gave the ball away against Celtic.
You say individual errors, I can point to other players having a part to play. πŸ‘
You like to vilify only certain players, I prefer to see Rangers win and lose as a team. πŸ‘.

21.) 12 Nov 2019 10:12:51
Hearts game tav's fault, celtic game goldson's fault. I can see why the big names forced the name changeπŸ‘.

22.) 12 Nov 2019 23:03:05
Hearts game Katic's fault, Celtic game Katic's fault plus no clean sheets.
The naive and inexperienced but 'best' (πŸ€£πŸ˜‚) CH we have Katic gets dropped for the big games and we destroy Hearts in the semi final, turn over Porto with a CH pairing that are going from strength to strength.

I'm just glad the 'tinkerman' has stopped taking your advice. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚
Never mind the big names, the big games are being won! Even Ojo rated higher than Kent for his 20+ minutes cameo against Livi! That must have dented the ego! πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ˜†.

01 Nov 2019 12:58:26
Does Levein getting sacked give the Jambos a boast for Sunday?
Or should we be too good for them anyway?

MrPoppy

1.) 01 Nov 2019 15:13:54
We weren't too good for them a fortnight ago, managerial sackings can go either way for a team. Its important we start the game properly this timeπŸ‘.

2.) 01 Nov 2019 16:35:31
Didn't turn up at Tynecastle, just as they didn't turn up at Almondvale. It happens. We move om and prepare properly and we"ll get through.

3.) 01 Nov 2019 19:52:10
Agreed. If Katic starts ( hopefully not ) , he has to be more switched on from the start and win the aerial battle right away. That builds confidence with the rest of his fellow defenders.
It was still a terrible 2 points to drop against them as they've been rank rotten ever since.

4.) 01 Nov 2019 20:00:53
Simple, pick the best 11 and start like its your last game and don't let up till the whistle goes, nothing else should be on your mind.

Tav Goldson Katic Borna
Jack Davis Kamara
Kent Morelos Aribo

Prob no the line up but think Aribo plays better further forward.

5.) 02 Nov 2019 09:08:39
Yeah I agree Katic has to be in thereπŸ‘.

6.) 02 Nov 2019 13:19:19
Mr Poppy Why are you having a go at Katic. Every player has to be switched on from the start, πŸ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ίβš½οΈπŸ‘.

7.) 02 Nov 2019 13:35:25
He's desparetly trying to cover up tav's howler. Its what is known as a poor attempt at fishing cunny. The big names are still waitingπŸ‘.

8.) 02 Nov 2019 15:53:46
He never won his first major test unfortunately.
In the big games you have to be switched on from the start. In my opinion he contributed to the Hearts goal.

Right now Helander and Goldson are a better partnership. Stats wise, Goldson wins more aerial duals, Helander is the better footballer.
Katie is still young and naive but has time on his side to become a Rangers great if he learns quick enough. πŸ‘.

9.) 02 Nov 2019 20:57:45
I agree re Helander . For me he has earned the right to be first pick recently . I know it’s tough on Katic who I also really like, I think the combination with the left and right footed centre back pairing works better though .

I hardly think Morelos reads the daily rags up here to unsettle himself! 🀣🀣🀣
We all know he has ambitions to play at a higher level. Let's hope he waits until the summer before he goes. πŸ‘.

There will be in interest in a proven goal scorer. It will depend if the move suits all parties involved. πŸ‘.

Aye Tav could have least made the effort to jump up and get his head to the ball. πŸ‘πŸ˜‰
I've been waiting all morning waiting with pitchfork and flaming torch in hand on the witch hunt to slaughter Jack for costing us 2 points last night. But I put them down when I remembered he's 'one' of our own and is above criticism after putting in a great performance the rest of the game.

Or score more goals than the opposition, just like we did against Hamilton and we will win. πŸ‘.

Banter - exchange remarks in a good humoured teasing way
Slate - criticise severely
I think some people are getting their words mixed up at times then? πŸ‘€πŸ€”.

He's got a long way to go before he justify's the price tag.
A good performance against a rank rotten Hearts side and 2 goals against Hamilton is a step in the right direction.
Once fully fit and scoring and assisting on a regular basis with Rangers winning trophies will the price tag be justified. πŸ‘.

I'm sure he also posed under the flag of a banned Republican organisation.
I think he's needing to look into the current SNP setup before mixing sport with politics.
His ex leader is currently on trial in serious charges and a few other high profile party members have been in court recently. πŸ‘.
