Anyone got any idea who the three trialists are who are lining up against Cambridge today? No making stuff up please.

Theswagman

1.) 16 Jul 2019 11:46:13
All young boys freed by EPL teams.

2.) 16 Jul 2019 11:47:16
I heard it was snap crackle and pop.

3.) 16 Jul 2019 14:11:20
Rachi from spurs, young boy from man city is the only two i know.

4.) 16 Jul 2019 14:55:57
Royal blue they r already signed.

5.) 16 Jul 2019 15:24:51
John, i'm sure Albert rachi was a trialist today. He has not signed yet.

6.) 16 Jul 2019 16:14:19
Heard from a reliable source it was Larry, Curly and Mo?

7.) 16 Jul 2019 16:16:30
Whatever. He was a named player in 9-1 win against Huddersfield.

8.) 16 Jul 2019 19:06:53
My boy thinks one of the loan players was Kane from Liverpool. He got text from mate who played for Dundee
Not sure the rule re playing another clubs player as a trialists.
I know we did it with Ruth last year.

9.) 16 Jul 2019 19:09:47
Royal blue young boy hosler we signed from Man City played mate.

10.) 16 Jul 2019 20:04:56
Royal blue, Rachi and Hosler have both signed and both played for the u18s today. The 3 trialists were playing for the development squad also today. No idea who they are though.

11.) 16 Jul 2019 20:57:13
Awww my bad musta saw something and got confused. can't see anything online about rachi signing though.

12.) 16 Jul 2019 23:15:13
1 of the trialists was Max Hutchinson, son of former Scotland player Don.

13.) 17 Jul 2019 00:43:19
John he was a trialist in the 9-1 game as well says so in the news real regarding the game if u just read it all will be clear.

14.) 17 Jul 2019 09:12:18
Ok Alexander. Very unusual to name him and not put him down as trialist in Huddersfield game.

15.) 17 Jul 2019 11:07:50
Think it was Tom, Dick and Harry.

08 May 2019 13:10:42
Apparently we are after Zander Clark for £1m? Anyone else think that's madness when Liam Kelly is apparently available for £50k? Clark is decent but is he any better than Fod or Alnwick?

Theswagman

1.) 08 May 2019 13:52:03
Agree mate.

2.) 08 May 2019 15:09:40
He got beat from 40 yards at the weekend so I hope we’re not paying £1m.

3.) 08 May 2019 16:20:23
Its'crazy' that would even have to pay 50k for Kelly!

4.) 08 May 2019 16:40:03
I would rather we re-signed our former young goalkeeper, liam kelly.
Said before on here that kelly should never have been let go to livingston. He's the natural successor to allan mcgregor as far as i'm concerned!

5.) 08 May 2019 18:23:49
Supercooper he was not let go. He left at end of contract as we signed McGregor.

6.) 08 May 2019 19:12:41
SC11 not one person in the coaching team gives two hoots who you think is McGregors natural successor. Your like a broken record going on and on and on about Kelly. HE LEFT, HE WANTED TO GO. Change the record.

7.) 08 May 2019 19:44:29
L17 correct mate. If we kept or signed everyone coops said we would have a squad of 80.

8.) 08 May 2019 20:29:34
JBoy 21 highly rates them all ;-) apart fae Shinnie he has always stated his dislike of Shinnie or has been consistent in saying he was not being good enough.

9.) 08 May 2019 20:40:38
Chill we have 2 McCrories lol.

10.) 09 May 2019 04:04:53
If we sign him it'll be for nothing remotely close to £1m. Behave.

11.) 09 May 2019 07:19:15
We aren’t after him for £1 million killie have priced him at that.

12.) 09 May 2019 10:19:54
Would help if he played for killie Dee haha he’s st Johnstone goalie, imo liam kelly would be ideal replacement, great keeper with a great attitude.

13.) 09 May 2019 10:22:24
Doesn't play for Killie mate.

14.) 09 May 2019 12:25:20
Exactly Jboy and in my honest opinion I truly believe that they’d all be future captains 🙈.

15.) 09 May 2019 18:59:17
I don’t believe that anyone on the coaching team gives two hoots about what anyone thinks on here!

Is SC’s opinion less worthy than the rest on here?

Ryan Jack excellent for Scotland tonight, breaking up play, driving the team forward. Probably my favourite Rangers player at this point.

Theswagman

1.) 19 Nov 2019 23:18:08
100%, he is some player! How many held their breath when that idiot went a mile over the ball and caught him just under the knee? Should have been a red imo.

2.) 20 Nov 2019 08:40:47
Agree about both Ryan and John McGinn, both great players, and, Ryan was unlucky not to score last night. I just hope SC doesn't drop him for McItomony when he's fit, nothing would surprise me.

3.) 20 Nov 2019 12:37:31
Sadly irvger l think you are correct in your thoughts. I think he will bench Ryan J in the playoffs. He was amazing last night. I have relatives in Aberdeen ( l know ) who used to rave about him when he was skipper at dynoroddie, l mean pittodrie.

4.) 20 Nov 2019 13:00:50
Mc gregor and christie are both better players why no mention of thier performance I wonder 🤮.

5.) 20 Nov 2019 13:33:54
Because it’s a rangers site we mainly talk about rangers players with a little bit of others.

6.) 20 Nov 2019 15:04:57
RJ is better than both of them imo.

7.) 20 Nov 2019 16:57:58
You csnt compare jack and Christie for a start. 2 totally different players.

8.) 20 Nov 2019 18:39:16
I think Jack brings more to the table as he can also score goals as well as excelling sitting in front of the defence.

9.) 20 Nov 2019 19:22:35
Big muggie, are you actually asking a Rangers forum why their talking about Rangers players and not celtic players? , really?

Really sad you’re on here but to actually post that shows your not too intelligent, and most probably a schoolboy

Tommy.

10.) 20 Nov 2019 21:02:44
Their obsession with The Famous knows no bounds, Tommy.

03 Nov 2019 15:11:32
Few mistakes from Goldson already. He’s played so much football the last couple of years, really think he needs taken out the lineup for a few games.

Theswagman

1.) 03 Nov 2019 15:55:04
Disagree there sorry, can't go dropping players every time they get caught for pace or make a mistake, if we're winning games then keep going. Yes give guys a rest when they need it but only when the game allows ie goals up in games or let them sit out early Scottish Cup ties.

2.) 03 Nov 2019 16:03:26
I agree swagman, Goldson is a bomb scare.

3.) 03 Nov 2019 17:53:48
I’m not suggesting he gets dropped for one mistake, I’m not even suggesting he gets dropped, I’m talking about rested, same as Arfield was today. Both have been top players for us the last two seasons but both are showing signs of tiredness.

4.) 03 Nov 2019 19:00:49
Theswagman, players showing tiredness and it's only the beginning of November. I don't want to believe that from a professional footballer. I can just imagine if I told my boss " I'm tired " !

5.) 03 Nov 2019 19:01:57
Great performsnce but thought big goldson was s little shsky today.

6.) 03 Nov 2019 19:58:35
Arfield hasn’t had a summer break though as he was playing in the Gold Cup for Canada and I think Goldson was an ever-present last season? You can definitely see it in both of them, Arfield doesn’t look sharp and Goldson looks mentally tired, lots of concentration lapses. It would be different if we didn’t have anyone else to come in, but Katic and Edmundson are both more than capable of standing in and big Helander has been top class the last few games.

7.) 03 Nov 2019 20:55:53
Thought hearts were terrible but few times second half Goldson seem to be asleep from corners free kicks they had a few free headers against better be punished.

8.) 04 Nov 2019 03:16:45
I have said for weeks Goldson needs dropped. Distribution of the ball and decision making is Shocking, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️👍.

9.) 04 Nov 2019 13:02:43
Why drop a player who is continually keeping clean sheets. Was shakey yesterday at times but recovered and he has upped his game over the last month or so I think.

27 Oct 2019 15:47:20
Tav again. AGAIN. The people who keep defending him need to get a grip. The arrogance to still be hitting penalties after 2 missed already this season.

Theswagman

1.) 27 Oct 2019 16:06:33
He is our nominated spot taker and has scored 20 out of 24 penalties for us in last 3 years, get off his back!

2.) 27 Oct 2019 16:19:58
No. Because he is terrible. The worst Rangers captain in the top flight in my 30 odd years of watching us.

3.) 27 Oct 2019 17:18:05
We looked very slow again today right from the kick off. I don't really want to mention those across the city, but they attacked the sheep at speed, and were rewarded for it. Far too many passes around the box, I'm sat here sceaming SHOOT! I know we played Thursday night but we looked very leggy. If we could just have more driving runs from midfield instead of sideways passes it would help. Another three points though, we must keep the pressure on them, they will slip up when least expected.

4.) 27 Oct 2019 17:29:15
Ed - Theswagman is a very unhappy supporter of Tav and wants him transferred. It didn't take him long to get on today. Can we give him a free transfer to another fan site?

5.) 27 Oct 2019 18:39:22
Should be off pens now tbf. Very lucky it didn't cost us points today most around around me wanted defoe on the pen 👍.

6.) 27 Oct 2019 19:10:46
Sorry Blue Toon, am I not allowed an opinion? I got on him because he missed a penalty, which he has done twice already this season, along with the many goals his pathetic attempts at defending have cost us.

7.) 28 Oct 2019 05:44:50
Theswagman - no problem with having an opinion about a player, but be realistic. As I have posted previously from the beginning of September Tav has been culpable for 3 goals, not many as you say. So far today you have posted a few times berating Tav.

24 Oct 2019 03:20:11
Here’s the bottom line on Tav - whether you think he is a good player, bad player or somewhere in the middle - if you think he is good enough to be a first choice player for Glasgow Rangers then that is an incredibly sad indictment of how far standards have slipped. And if you think he is a Rangers captain then you don’t understand this club at all.

Theswagman

1.) 24 Oct 2019 09:25:15
So it follows then that you think Gerrard is a bad manager.

2.) 24 Oct 2019 10:35:25
Going by your train of thought we could rip a few of the current squad to pieces going by the players I've been privileged enough to see over the years.
We are where we are at this moment in time.

3.) 24 Oct 2019 11:07:50
If you constantly slag-off our own players, you don't understand this club at all.

14 Oct 2019 21:40:23
Here’s one - that big boy Dzyuba who tore Scotland apart the other night is out of contract at Zenith at the end of the season. If he’s not signed a new contract by the end of December we should be straight in there with a pre-contract. Would score for fun here, absolute animal.

Theswagman

1.) 14 Oct 2019 21:45:55
The wags man that could be a good call if we lose Alf.

2.) 14 Oct 2019 22:00:32
The big robust russian striker most definitely looks the part. I totally agree he would destroy defences in scottish football.

3.) 15 Oct 2019 00:15:04
Aye n I'm sure hell not be short of offers, and for more than we could pay him.

4.) 15 Oct 2019 05:18:23
Not hard to bully the Scottish defence. His overall record for his club isn't that impressive. He has scored 36 times in a 158 appearances for his current club and he is 31. So not for me guys.

5.) 15 Oct 2019 08:12:02
Whos the wags man john?

6.) 15 Oct 2019 09:21:39
U k ow Paul Theswagman, I love the pedantic people on here.

7.) 15 Oct 2019 10:23:12
He is 31, has never played outside Russia, he is the captain of his country and Zenit pay him £80k a week. Dream on.

8.) 15 Oct 2019 11:39:32
I highlighted him at the world cup on here and was quite rightly told to wake up as we can't afford him. Even more so now.

9.) 16 Oct 2019 12:42:27
Defoe was on over £100k a week, pretty sure he’s running out at Ibrox every week?

10.) 16 Oct 2019 15:26:46
Swagman, Defoe wasn't on 'over £100k a week' and he wasn't getting a game where he was. This guy is, and is also captain of his club and country.

11.) 16 Oct 2019 17:09:06
Aye and Bournemouth are still paying most of his wages.

I know the Dundee manager, he’s all about promoting youth and playing football in the correct manner, he’ll improve while he’s there an hopefully come back ready to push for the first team.

Dunno where he is going to play the midfield is packed. Meanwhile we still need a left back and another striker.

If Oli McBurnie can go for £18m in England, Alfie is worth at least £30m.

There will sadly always be some people whose major motivation to “support” Rangers or Celtic will be so they can be around like-minded hate filled individuals, get drunk and sing horrible songs. The fact there is a football game going on is a side issue to them.

Halliday is still a level above the midfield of Livi, despite being a level below our best midfielders. Normally he wouldn’t be anywhere near my XI but sometimes you need horses for courses and with yesterday likely to be a physical game I wasn’t sure Aribo and Kamara could handle it as they’ve not given much sign of enjoying the less glamorous side of the game. Having said that, I thought Aribo was terrific and it’s the first time I’ve actually seen him use his physicality. If he can play like that every week he’ll be tough to leave out. Kamara as best player on the park is a strange shout though Fergie. Tidy on the ball but doesn’t do enough for me. Isn’t really a ball winner, doesn’t carry the ball upfield like Aribo, doesn’t run a game like Davis and isn’t much of a goal threat.

Worry our midfield is too lightweight, Livi are a dirty team. I would maybe have had Flanagan in for Barasic and Halliday in midfield with Jack and Arfield. Aribo and Kamara are going to get kicked off the ball, need players who can stand up and give it back.

When we beat Aberdeen on the last day of the season to win the league, I was only wee so memories fuzzy but think we won 2-0 and Hateley with the goals?
