There was a wee mole from parkheed
To find him they need to dig deep
He leaked all the news
To the boys in the blue
Poor lennons gon right af his heed.

19 Oct 2020 23:17:17
Very good mate,

19 Oct 2020 23:54:38
You've inspired me tam that's the first song I've ever written but it's a cracker so I'm very proud of myself cheers.

19 Oct 2020 20:36:08
Is it just me or who has noticed that we have not seen any visitors from the dark side in the last few days?
Has someone said or done something to upset them?

19 Oct 2020 20:46:54
It has been suspiciously quiet!

19 Oct 2020 21:31:30
I think they are trying to organise a whip round for timalloy🤣👍.

19 Oct 2020 21:43:32
They're usually on here gatecrashing our page. hope all is well with them.
Hope they are not suffering from Saturday night fever 🤣🤣🤣.

20 Oct 2020 00:15:46
I would love to know the stats on the times it usually takes Leon to post after a total embarrassment of a performance.

20 Oct 2020 06:02:44
I'd guess around 2 weeks before he comes out from under his bed C of ibrox.
He must be hurting 😁😁.

20 Oct 2020 07:53:47
Good Andy. I hope they all are mate 😉.

20 Oct 2020 09:50:32
Buzz got Saturday night fever.
He plays John Revolting.

20 Oct 2020 10:25:10
Game time for Kelly is dreadful, not what rangers ex, he will be recalled in January and straight out again, mb hearts who wanted him in the summer.

19 Oct 2020 18:47:20
Young Stephen Kelly's had game time in 4 of Ross County's first 11 league matches coming off the bench. Good platform for the boy.

19 Oct 2020 19:50:46
He’ll do well to get a sniff in that midfield next season mate. I’ve not seen any of the boy playing so can’t give an informed opinion but is he not 21 22 now? Perhaps another one who will be sold for a nominal fee with a % of next transfer.

19 Oct 2020 20:05:28
Was hoping he got a bit more game time but hopefully he can get in the 1st 11 soon.

19 Oct 2020 18:43:25
Still buzzing!

19 Oct 2020 18:36:10
We had a team full of good performances against celtic on saturday and media outlets gave special mentions on how good both connor goldson and glen kamara were and rightly so, as they were superb! I would like to mention here, about how good goldson's centre half partner big filip helander was.

First and foremost helander is an old fashioned proper centre half, who defends with every bit of his body and defends his box. He does the rugged centre half work superb, ie. the strong physical challenges,

last ditch blocks, strong in the air, positions himself superbly well, to allow for his lack of pace. He's a no nonsense, old school centre half and you need one of the centre halfs within any successful team, to be able to do that. I thought helander was immense against celtic and he brings the perfect balance to our centre half pairing of goldson and himself 👍Goldson is the right footed footballing centre half, whereas helander is the left footed rugged, old school centre half,

who'll defend first and foremost! They're opposites, but that's what tends to make the best/ most successful, centre half partnerships👌I think helander is a cracking big centre half, who loves the hard meaty challenges and i firmly believe now, that goldson and helander, is rangers best centre half pairing! Thoughts fellow bears 🤔.

19 Oct 2020 18:51:04
Totally agree mate, whilst Connor can be guilty of a few lapses he is a trusted, tried and reliable defender who can always be counted on. can't tell you how many games he has played for the famous v ones missed but must be a very high percent.

19 Oct 2020 18:56:22
Helander's tackle in the first few minutes was pure class.

19 Oct 2020 19:20:13
SGL, I agree with most of your post, it was good, but please, I’ve never stood in the pub or anywhere and discussed “ media outlets “, nor do I need / forward slashes for two words which almost always mean the same thing, if you mean the paper, just say so, your not reporting for the herald old chap
No offence intended,

19 Oct 2020 19:26:10
Was a beauty Efriar, said at the time in the group chat. Spot on coop, one blood and guts old school defender and one to play out is a great double act. Compared to that lump they got on loan that thinks he is both but is actually neither 🤣 how many videos online of him battering long balls to no one? Two million loan fee, love to see it!

19 Oct 2020 19:43:04
Good post SGL👏🏼👏🏼
Tom thumb don't pick on the guy about heehaw and then say no offence. no wonder the guy disappears! He always talks sense and is one of the good guys so let's all try getting along 👍🏻.

19 Oct 2020 19:56:03
You used to say coops that Goldson was like watching Ferdinand, are we saying Helander Is our Vedic 🇬🇧👍🏻.

19 Oct 2020 20:07:49
Not seen enough of balogun and I would prefer him because he is faster than both but won’t complain about them as they are doing a fine job.

19 Oct 2020 20:09:55
The one he pinged out to the right of the dugouts in the 2nd half snell was a beauty. Did you see Lennon's reaction? Comedy gold!

19 Oct 2020 20:47:51
Tom thumb 🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻.

19 Oct 2020 21:01:47
If you watch Sportscene highlights, just after Kents shot gets stopped on the line, watch Kamara's beautiful reverse pass. Beautiful.

19 Oct 2020 21:07:23
Even funnier is the still game mash up that's been done with it BMGH01 🤣 got left on read after sending that to my dhim supporting mate funnily enough!

19 Oct 2020 21:29:09
I’ve double checked there’s no forward slashes / / in the post Tom? Lol.

20 Oct 2020 00:42:33
Helander reminds me of per mertsacker. His positioning is top notch. He might not be the quickest but he doesn’t need pace with his positional sense.

19 Oct 2020 18:32:41
Guys, think that the likes of tav and goldson are benefiting from no crowds at games, less pressure as there is no abuse coming their way when things aren’t going well, you can see tav is relishing every game recently. Thoughts?

19 Oct 2020 19:22:56
Been saying it for a long time, whole different ball game, as proven by the results seen in England,

Also ibrox is a very different and difficult place to play for some boys, so close to the fans in ibrox, when it goes quiet, regularly, they can hear any loud abuse, some just relax more with no fans.

19 Oct 2020 16:55:09
We've all agreed on here that glen kamara was absolutely superb against celtic on saturday and probably is the best 50k we've ever spent 👍He's a very elegant, skillful midfielder, of that there's no doubt. But i've noticed that the partnership of glen kamara and ryan jack, doesn't look as good a sitting midfield partnership as kamara/ davis or jack/ davis 🤔I don't know if any of you have noticed the same and agree with this? Its always going to be 2 of the 3 of davis, jack and kamara who will be pairing together in this defensive midfield role, which of course is instructed by gerrard to cover our 2 high attacking fullbacks, on their continual maurading runs forward, which gives our team its width . what's all my other fellow bears thoughts on this and your preferred defensive midfield pairing 🤔.

19 Oct 2020 17:06:16
Davis is a great player but we can't expect him to play in every game.
Kamara right now is the form player of the 3. Jack's solid dependable.
Plus there's zunga.
A great problem to have.

19 Oct 2020 17:19:11
Davis / Kamara although it should be decided on form. We’ve got Zungu to come into the mix as well.

I think the interesting one is Aribo and where he fits in, although he’s always played further forward I think he is the long term replacement for Davis. We might see him playing deeper than we’re used to.

19 Oct 2020 17:27:55
Davis and Kanara for me mate, Davis quality has been at a higher level than the others and just feel Kamara offers more overall. Jack does a lot decent but nothing outstanding for me.

19 Oct 2020 17:56:51
Oh what a lovely dilemma! Zungu will have to do well to get into the team. I think we're firing on all cylinders. Only issue on Sat was Barker, he was a bit poor.

19 Oct 2020 17:57:32
The first 6 months of last season was as good as Jack played in a Rangers shirt. He was more progressive, hitting shots from distance and scoring some goals but he hasn't recovered that level of form since the turn of the year when the whole team lost form. I like Jack a lot and he still offers something to the team but I agree that Davis and Kamara offer more at this moment in time. It should be judged on form mainly but Jack is more than capable of playing when Davis needs a break. With Aribo I think its going to alternate between him and Arfield for the one from the 3 centre mids who goes and joins the attack. Arfield is a master at the late run beyond the strikers and Aribo tends to carry the ball forward and was showing some great form before his injury. 5 great players with Zungu to be added to the group to challenge for a place too. Great problem to have and different types of player to suit different scenarios. i'm a happy bear.

19 Oct 2020 18:16:02
Noticed it last year coop. 👍.

19 Oct 2020 18:17:23
The stuck you think we are firing on all cylinders? I don’t think we are anywhere near that yet which is good I honestly think we could have went up a few more gears on Saturday don’t think we got out of 2nd gear.

19 Oct 2020 18:47:59
Correct sgl 👍.

19 Oct 2020 18:51:44
Coldo been saying it for months, Aribo, although I love his skills is a difficult one to get into the team just now, he does slow our game lot, but on the other hand he is capable of going through an entire defence one by one

Dilemma.

19 Oct 2020 18:35:16
To be fair I think Jack has been asked to sit deeper this season to allow others to push forward!

19 Oct 2020 19:46:35
Agree with most in this thread re our midfield. It’s a long season and another Europe campaign to contend with which is great.
We now have options all over the midfield, we can have sitting players, attacking players, wide midfielders, different permutations for different type of games. Its good to have the quality as we will need them all, Jack, Zungu, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Arfield, Hagi, we have a blend of younger players and older in the middle, SG can now have the luxury of resting players and knowing those coming in are more than capable. Think our midfield players are doing a great job.

19 Oct 2020 20:00:33
It’s good to see Glen Kamara getting the praise he deserves. The guy is a class act and to think what we paid for him.

19 Oct 2020 20:00:40
KJA9, I guess your right, always room for improvement.

19 Oct 2020 21:34:01
Been saying it since last season tom old chap👍.

19 Oct 2020 16:34:29
Just catching up on highlights from the games down south
Tottenham game wow What a game that was lol moyes at the end lol

Aston Villa they have started great so far
So good to have football back on all levels
Seeing teams possibly playing with more freedom without the fans and it's throwing up some crazy but cracking results and possibly more goals getting scored across the spectrum
this season will go down in history I think with the obvious C.V. and no fans etc
Just going to enjoy it
We will get back to normality soon enough I think or at least hope
But I'm enjoying watching all the games and what there throwing up 😊.

19 Oct 2020 18:17:44
Spurs done my coupon yesterday gutted.

19 Oct 2020 18:57:32
Oh bad one KJ

I haven’t won a coupon yet this season always me or two
Yet when you look at results across the leagues all over Europe I always think to myself why didn’t I pick them or them and always think I could well have had a good coupon up and then next week pick the wrong teams again 😂😂.

19 Oct 2020 20:10:28
Yep mate always one it was Bournemouth on Saturday had a couple up but not great.

19 Oct 2020 20:15:10
A put £60 oan them at 5/ 6 a was fuming man.

19 Oct 2020 14:48:30
Im praying that the league doesn't get stopped early. I want to enjoy watching us do it the right way and pumping celtic another 3 times along the way. I would however suggest a wee scarf tied roon the goalposts the next time we batter them at Celtic Park :)

19 Oct 2020 15:24:50
Less chance of a riot, unlike the last time an idiot did it.

19 Oct 2020 15:46:38
I'll be honest, I share your views on another 3 batterings but I certainly wouldn't like our players to stoop to wee thumbs level and do that lol.

19 Oct 2020 18:18:19
Let’s not stoop to their level.

19 Oct 2020 18:58:13
I would be happy if they called it right now, this minute in fact

History lasts a long long time, maybe not for me, but if they called it when Rangers were top I could go happy that they never got to use it against my club forever,

19 Oct 2020 20:23:48
Nope let’s make sure we’re top at halfway stage as it may get called then. I’d take that, or else need to go full way, no mid season crap like last year.

19 Oct 2020 14:24:41
Just something that has been going through my mind since we qualified for the Europa League. I understand the financial element as to why qualifying was important but now we are there most of the realistic money available to us has been banked. I think we should use the EL games this year like we do say league cup games in Scotland. Play all our fringe players, keeping the more important players for a league battle which this season will still be. Any other year this would not be my opinion but the league title is absolutely everything this year and any distractions are not needed. I would almost have a midweek team and a weekend team with only minimal crossover, some of the older member's of the squad would not even be travelling . Thoughts?

19 Oct 2020 14:42:07
Great idea to be honest mate. If we get through group realistically only worth a couple million. Having already banked possibly 6/ 7 million. I would be resting 3 or 4 key players. Put bassey in. use zungu jack etc in middle.

19 Oct 2020 14:44:06
Agree Cambiger, the league is our no.1 priority this year. Qualification was good for the finances but I'm happy to "take it easy" in the EL to concentrate on the league.

19 Oct 2020 14:45:23
Normally I would disagree but the reality is every other team from Scotland does nowt for our co-efficient ranking so focus on the league this year. I think Gerrard will know this anyway. I hope lol.

19 Oct 2020 15:50:22
The difference being though, in previous seasons we didn’t have a squad big enough to realistically cope with the rigours of playing both domestic and European football and keep the standards high, Gerrard continually stated that himself and continually said he wanted to improve the overall standard of the squad with players who could come into the starting eleven without the quality being affected (this is where people have been getting confused, when we have made signings some folk have moaned that they don’t think the players brought in are better than the starting eleven we have. Well maybe they aren’t better, but they are at the same level which overall has greatly improved our ability to consistently put out a team of great quality, unlike in previous seasons where losing a few players has crested Big problems) . If you look at our bench from Saturday we’re just about there now. Considering we didn’t even have Katic, Edmundson, Zungu, Roofe (or even Stewart) in the squad at all, we probably now have the ability to make 4 or 5 changes between European games and domestic games without affecting the quality we’re putting out.
For example if everyone is fit and up to match speed, would replacing McGregor, Helander, Davis, Arfield, Barker and Morelos with McLaughlin, Balogun, Jack, Zungu, Roofe/ Hagi and Itten, dramaticly reduce the standard of the team overall?
It may be too early to tell yet but I’d still be confident with which ever team we put out.

19 Oct 2020 16:00:03
Were going for the quadruple this year. don't be a defeatist. we fear no foe.

19 Oct 2020 16:16:16
I think our squad now looks good enough to compete on both fronts. Why can't we progress out of the Europa League group and reach the last 8 or last 4? For Davis, Arfield, Kamara read Aribo, Jack, Zungu, or any combination. Plus Roofe and Itten. We've got cover in goal and at the back too. If this is going to be our season let's win the league AND progress as far as we can in Europe!

19 Oct 2020 16:25:30
Last 4 a bit of a stretch with quality in the doiger. we got played off the park and outclassed in every dept by a good leverkusen who then got knocked out comfortable by inter. But yes we are most certainly stronger than last season.

19 Oct 2020 16:31:56
If Rangers even attempted to have a “ midweek team and a Saturday team “ we would be ridiculed and never allowed to forget it if we won nothing
Not a chance this will happen mate,

It was talked about regularly a good few years back, And Rangers really did have far better team than now, and enough players, it didn’t work then and it sure as hell wouldn’t work now

It’s completely understandable that you know the league is everything, but rangers are in the process of regaining their international reputation, no not for me, we play the game to win.

19 Oct 2020 16:33:44
There is still substantial £££ in the way of points (wins and draws) plus topping the group etc.

19 Oct 2020 16:57:23
Agree Tom Thumb, we want as many points as possible to keep up our co-efficient. This could mean automatic qualification to a Champions League group slot in the near future and all the millions that entails.

A midweek European team? No thanks, although I'm realistic enough to rule out going last 4 let alone win a quadruple. Think some are getting carried away because we gubbed a rank rotten Celtic side who are about to be given another footballing lesson from Milan - presuming Milan are interested.

19 Oct 2020 18:43:53
Nobody wants to stop 10 in row more than me, however, next season is far more important. As I understand, the top 2 teams qualify for the champions league but the winners go straight into the group stages and the 30 million it brings. If I had the choice, I know which one I'd choose. Laudrup said recently " nobody outside the west of Scotland gives a damn about 10 in a row".

19 Oct 2020 18:45:51
Honestly don’t care about europa league as I have said since the start of season understand financial implications of not getting there but 55 is way more important.

19 Oct 2020 18:58:07
we need europe or be sure we wouldn't have a team capable of winning 55. we definitely wouldn't 1) be able to afford who we have now 2) they wouldn't come if there was no European football.

19 Oct 2020 19:42:45
Can’t understand this, the league is everything this year, that’s a fact, but nobody said rangers can’t compete in Europe too, and we will, this title will bring its rewards, and stopping them is absolutely paramount,

19 Oct 2020 20:28:35
Go out to win every game, taking each 1 as it comes on individual merits, assess squad fitness and recovery etc and play the strongest poss team no matter who we play. In it to win it or don’t turn up.

19 Oct 2020 14:19:51
Regarding Morelos and his new Role --he plays deeper and wider at times and leaves spaces all over the place for others to capitalise I actually like it and feel that's his way forward as a player his technical ability is questionable inside the 6 yard box imo But he still has to hit that onion bag more often now that would make him the complete player Slap Slap Tsk Tsk--.

19 Oct 2020 16:34:21
It leaves us short of a striker though, I have always agreed his actual football technique is poor, but he was always there, remember if big Connor hadn’t scored on Saturday nobody else did, and Rangers didn’t have a box player there.

19 Oct 2020 17:25:19
agree Tom --barker out and itten in then as main striker with kent roaming.

19 Oct 2020 18:01:49
Interesting views, anyone see sky today re Kane and his deep roll to let two wingers pull back three apart . They say it’s how u combat a back three / five.

19 Oct 2020 19:05:50
It is John, I’ve known many coaches who use that rule regularly, including a former rangers coach who was pivotal in bringing through the two Ferguson brothers, and his favourite Charlie Miller, but you need the players for that,
Rangers have a couple who are capable all right, but Kane is world class who now has Bale and Song, a dream team.

19 Oct 2020 22:06:03
Tom totally agree re your assertion off spurs three. It was really the principle of how the team set u, we r trying similar but certainly not with same quality of player.

20 Oct 2020 11:20:26
Agreed, that's the problem faced by Gerrard with the low block, use your striker to pull the defenders out of shape and let our attacking mids in. Having another striker in front of Morelos won't work as the defenders would then focus more on him and not Morelos.

19 Oct 2020 14:05:13
Can I just add guys

What I thought was interesting after the game the interviews
I really liked Gerrards interview think someone else on here already mentioned it very calm and collective

But even more interesting going back to last year when we beat them, Neil Lennon came out and was full of his war cry and said they would get together and come back stronger etc and you can't write them off

This occasion he actually admitted there is a title race this year and was much more withdrawn I thought a very quiet Neil Lennon for a change
There's definitely a change in the wind direction that's for sure for both teams this year
something this rangers team now I feel and I have said on a few posts now is and has started to click together
And Celtic I think are finally taking notice of this change and possibly the pressure is finally starting to sink in and show the cracks for once
Early days but here's hoping lol
We just keep doing what we're doing and going about our buisness quietly
It's really good to see it coming together now 😊.

19 Oct 2020 14:37:04
I agree Thestigno1 👍 I've always thought/ said that steven gerrard would be a successful rangers manager and would win the league for us! I most definitely think he'll win the league this season.

19 Oct 2020 14:46:48
The rebuilding job that Gerrard took on was never going to bear fruition in the first couple of seasons given the position of strength that Celtic were starting from and who were miles ahead of us - we all remember the hammerings they used to dish out.
The only disappointment was not winning a cup but the Europa League runs under Gerrard were more important financially and from raising the profile of the club again.
In my opinion we are now seeing the benefit of having faith in Gerrard and not continually ripping it up and starting again every 1-2 years.
We have the making of Celtic under Gerrard. It's now up to Gerrard and the players to find the consistency against the other teams.
That's us played everyone - 9 wins, 2 draws and top of the league.
What's not to like and feel positive about?

19 Oct 2020 15:05:53
We might have had a recent disagreement mr potato, but you are 100% on the button about having Celtic's number. The fact we can play them off the park, prove we are a better footballing team than them, but have nothing to show for it because of our inconsistency, really gets to me (as it will to all Rangers fans) .

19 Oct 2020 15:19:02
Yeah totally agree guys 😊😊.

19 Oct 2020 15:45:36
It's the beauty of a site like this BMGH01.
We can disagree about one thread and agree on another without it getting out of hand.
And that's all down to the Ed's who run a great site and giving us a platform to either moan or praise the team.
Take a bow Ed001👏👏 and the rest 👍.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Mr Pot!}

19 Oct 2020 15:59:27
Here here MPH! Do we need to include ed007 in this praise? 🤣🤣
Hope you are well ed001 and calmed down after Saturday?

{Ed001's Note - I was fine afterwards to be honest, I am used to Everton setting out to make up the quality gap by being more physical.}

19 Oct 2020 16:04:30
I've just spoke with an Everton fan there through work and he is disgusted by Pickford's challenge. Big Van Dyke is going to be a big miss mate.
Still can't see how that goal was adjudged to be off-side? Bizarre!

{Ed001's Note - VAR is being run by clowns sadly.}

19 Oct 2020 16:12:39
If that's the case, we must be getting it for next season. If you think the clowns are bad down there, you should see the ones up here mate running the show.

{Ed001's Note - they no doubt work together on make up and getting the right size shoes....}

19 Oct 2020 16:19:22
🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡🤡.

19 Oct 2020 14:02:38
Funny, remember we were told, by the dark side, no Rangers players could get into the smeltic team, well!

19 Oct 2020 14:38:05
Yip, how many of their players would get into our team 🤔Not many if any at all 👌.

19 Oct 2020 14:49:59
Considering they are now on their 4th LB since Tierney left and we have Croatia's number 1 then they all know they are talking nonsense.
We also got our keepers for free and they spent £5 million on a diddy!

19 Oct 2020 15:25:08
As I stated in a previous post, the banter years they have banged on about are well and truly over and their jelly and ice-cream patter is well past its sell by date.
The days of them getting their rocks off watching their over hyped team steam rolling mince like Kiernan, barton and the rest is a thing of the past now they have real quality in front of them.
They're welcome to their players, I wouldn't want any of them.

19 Oct 2020 13:52:02
I hope Alan McGregor is ok the last time he was seen it was about 11.30 am on Sunday getting off the team bus at parkheed!

19 Oct 2020 13:47:22
Right lads, now we look forward to our next game do you think Alfie starts?
I personally like him but Saturday just brought back too many memories for me with him and the constant fouling etc and shows his discipline is still questionable and there will be too many refs just desperate to give him a card.
For me big Itten gets the nod unless we go 2 up front which I don't see happening when the midfield are in fine form and maybe bring Alfie on later in the game.
I think getting big Itten on for 75 or 80 mins in the EL would be good and allow him more time to work a rapport with the other players.
What do yous think?

19 Oct 2020 14:01:22
Morelos is, and will remain our most valuable asset and Itten and Roofe ar untried and worth very little profit wise -- --benching would not be productive on a financial basis only create a players confidence I personally like the position he is playing in where he draws defenders and creates spaces for others Its up to those players to step up and hit the net.

19 Oct 2020 14:05:18
I'd love to see big Itten getting a few starts and see what he can produce. He's a big unit and obviously got lots of potential and if he can get more goals and more confident then what a handful I think he will be for any defender.

19 Oct 2020 14:23:01
Alf starts all day, at this stage still our best striker.

19 Oct 2020 14:41:19
Agreed John, he's still our best striker and must start. He might frustrate out of me and get my blood pressure up, but he's still the best man for the job.

19 Oct 2020 14:54:15
I've been one of Morelos biggest fans and defended him numerous times but even I was shouting at the Tele for him to be subbed once the nonsense started with Brown.
I would now give Itten a run of games. With Morelos still having a part to play for the last 20 minutes.

19 Oct 2020 15:08:00
I get what yous are saying and actually agree that Alfie is the best in the current role but I just don't trust him to keep a cool head for 90 mins and would rather bring him on as a sub than rather lose a player when we need 11 on the field especially if we are chasing a winner.
With regards to his value I think we missed the boat on that one. Unless he starts banging them in again I can't see us getting an offer of 16m again but who knows but we can't sacrifice the team goal (winning the league) on playing a player just to keep his value up and the only other way to get Ittens value up is to play him.
With regards to Roofe I don't see us making money on him in the future due to his age and if he is as injury prone us some suspect then no one will want him.

19 Oct 2020 15:41:04
Jc I would love to see Roofe manage to play 10 games without injury never mind make money selling him. My fingers and toes are all crossed for the guy and want him to stay fit but I'm not confident on this.

19 Oct 2020 16:43:30
He once again proved beyond any sensible personal reason that he simply cannot be trusted,

He couldn’t keep his hands down yet again, fm, it could have been so very different if he’s sent off and we don’t win a game we had dominated,
And personally I no longer trust Alf and certainly don’t think he is our most valuable player,

Put it this way, I would rather keep Kam, Borna, goldy and Hel, without a doubt.

19 Oct 2020 17:15:29
Well the manager still seems to trust him? 🤔
I really don't see the point of going round and round in circles regarding Morelos.
Am pretty sure everyone knows everyone else's thoughts on the lad.
The fact is he didn't get sent off on Saturday and ran his arse off for the team.
He's here till at least January 😉.

19 Oct 2020 17:52:46
I must be in the minority I've had enough of morelos.

19 Oct 2020 18:44:41
Hi Ed. I take you didn't like my article re next years league is more Important than 10 in a row?

{Ed033's Note - Never saw it. Did you submit it via a posting form on here?

19 Oct 2020 21:17:46
I’d say we’ll get more money, we’ll we should, for borna and kamara.

19 Oct 2020 21:31:42
Humble apologies Ed. I was looking for it in banter 1 but its here on this one. Sorry.

{Ed033's Note - ok thanks.

19 Oct 2020 13:34:40
Anyone have thoughts on players like Roofe and Itten and Zungu when fully fit

I would like to itten get a run of games and zungu to see what he has to offer
But not to the expense of interruption of a winning side especially if no new injury worries with the current 1st 11

It's a hard choice, nice to have the choice of these players
But anything for the forseeble there place will be on bench come in as subs to try make there mark
Or do you think Gerrard might change things about with European football and cup games
Aribo was playing great until he was injured

Just wondering how these guys get back into the team if current 11 keep winning
Suppose it's a long season ahead
But as I said all great options to have this year
More of a headache for Gerrard though possibly trying to keep them all happy
Really do want to see what zungu brings to the table

What's everyone's thoughts on the guys now coming back from injury etc.

19 Oct 2020 13:57:36
Hope your feeling better stig and all is OK.
I'm looking forward to the next couple of months fixtures as we are going to see more of the guys who are not guaranteed starters. Bassey, Balogun, Itten etc Due to squad rotation for the europa league campaign. Hopefully we can start destroying teams in the spl early doors and can bring these guys into play to avoid injuries on any of the starting 11 and they all pull together and deliver results. I'm so looking forward to Thursday as I love the European ties and all the exitment they bring.

19 Oct 2020 15:26:20
I think Itten will start to come in and play a bit more or maybe just what I think after seeing Alfie start to lose it again on Saturday.
Roofe should be fighting it out with Hagi for the other attacking midfield position, Jones and Barker not consistent enough.
Zungu - not got a clue about this one. I thought he was a defensive CM but read somewhere he is a box to box MF. So given that, for the balance of the team I would imagine he will come in for Davis to play from the centre but will get limited game time if you ask me. Possibly more of a chance for SG to take a look at him during training sessions before we buy permanently (I'm sure we have him on loan with the option to buy) .
I see Aribo rotating between Kamara and the AML position and possibly no. 10 position when deployed but until Kamara drops his performance levels he will appear from the bench.
Its a great dilema to have to be honest.

19 Oct 2020 16:09:38
JC totally mate it is a great dilemma to have lol
Been a long time I think since We had a big quality squad like we have now
And what makes it even better from my point of view it looks like every player is now playing for each other there’s a right unity to the squad now
And they all look happy
It’s very pleasing to see 😘.

19 Oct 2020 21:21:14
I think a fully fit Aribo may, may take haggis position. He was on fire before injury. Don’t think u can break up that mid 3 until injury or loss of form. Unlucky for jack and Zungu and maybe even Hagi if Aribo gets his place. I’m only talking strongestteam scenario. Everyone will play there part.

19 Oct 2020 12:27:04
Following up on the discussion last week about these new terms about players stats, assists etc have crept into our game. Watching sportscene last night I see there's now another vital stat been introduced called dribbles completed so any wingers or dribblers out there take heed and make sure you complete your dribble and sportscene will give you a nice little point on your stats but be warned incomplete dribbles and you'll get nothing. What a lot of nonsense in my opinion but hopefully Lennon gets lots of points dribbling into his corn flakes this week.

19 Oct 2020 16:50:08
Cheers, it was myself who raised this last week, then the usual ridiculars jumped on to “ explain “

Its pathetic really, what’s next, will the goalie get acknowledged for his ball bouncing stats?

19 Oct 2020 18:43:46
Aye Tom it's madness gone mad.
Who gives a fu*k if his dribble wasn't complete or if your the guy passing it to the scorer but sadly it's here and yes I wander what the next super stat will be! The only one that interests me is goals and getting more of them than the opposition. Another phrase which is also doing my head in is players getting asked to recycle the ball which in old terms means pass it to someone else. Recycle means you need a wheelie bin not passing a ball.

19 Oct 2020 10:57:35
The next few league games for us and the unwashed up to end of November:

Rangers
Livingston (h)
Kilmarnock (a)
Hamilton (h)
Aberdeen (h)

Unwashed
Aberdeen (a)
Motherwell (a)
Hibs (a)

I wonder what the league table will look like after these games? Realistically, we could well be as much as 10 points clear. However, not getting ahead of myself, it will just be interesting to see how we kick on after Saturday's win.

19 Oct 2020 11:55:01
Consistency is the key for us now Doiger 👍
Saturday was us just laying down a marker for the season ahead.

19 Oct 2020 12:00:24
Some tough games there for both especially with European football thrown in

definitely will be a test of character and resolve for both teams
What ever happens just hope we’re sitting top come January a s take it from there lol
To nervous to try and even predict scores and outcomes
Just be happy to be still top of league that would be great
And see what comes 2nd half of season.

19 Oct 2020 12:09:25
We could've been 11 points clear at one point but dropped points against Livingston, one game at a time.

19 Oct 2020 12:19:16
Always always struggle at killie. would expect us to win all home games tho.

19 Oct 2020 12:34:59
Totally agree sweep. One game at a time.

19 Oct 2020 13:05:35
We need to be careful about these 10 point lead predictions. Too many times we've celebrated and then dropped points. let's keep it until the end of the season and laugh when we've won the league and the other lot are having a bulk discount sale on thousands of unwanted 10 is a row tshirts.

19 Oct 2020 13:47:49
As much as i want to believe we're good enough to do anyone in the division, i hate us on plastic especially Killie, they always seem to turn up like they've been eatin raw meat before the game and appear to try much harder than usual. 1 game at a time is the way to go and give every opponent the respect they warrant. Nothing less than 100% is good enough to win every game and this years title .

19 Oct 2020 18:40:30
When I see us gunning out the blocks every game for the remainder of the season and looking hungry to get the win then and only then will I sit up and believe. We’ve been here before. Expecting us to kick on and it’s been a damp squib. Get to new year game with maximum points and bt them if football is still going and we would be looking like a team that is capable of going all the way. No point dropping daft points away or even home after doing that on Saturday. Mon the rangers 🔴⚪️💙.

19 Oct 2020 18:41:34
With regards to your post doiger. I want to see us charging out the blocks every game. We’ve been here before and we have been left more than disappointed with our teams attitude and it’s ended up a damp squib. I do feel a change in the squad though and although it’s more or less the same team I can see belief in what is been drilled into them.

The manager has also learned from his mistakes of screaming down a camera lens to staying composed. We can do this. We seen on sat we can regardless of what squad they fielded. You can only beat what’s put in front of ye.

Let’s get to new year. Maximum points and take the old firm points at ibrox. Not really bothered abt the euro games although we have more than a chance of qualifying in that group also.

Mon the rangers 🔴⚪️💙.

19 Oct 2020 18:42:17
Agree one game at a time, most of those games I expect the low block so patience and maximum effort from all players required and Stevie G to make the right changes if we are struggling to break the teams down.

19 Oct 2020 18:55:56
We have always run out of steam due to squad size and depth before this year we have options through the whole team.

19 Oct 2020 07:47:53
Even though its batter down way rain its still an excellent day fellow bears enjoy reminding the other mob about Saturday don't forget to mention Morelos clipping browns ear that should get them going 😂😂😂😂.

19 Oct 2020 09:11:29
Got one hiding from me at work owes me a cheeky fiver.

19 Oct 2020 09:45:56
Get him pulled up rub it right in his face.

Review Of The Day 18th October 2020

19 Oct 2020 07:39:04
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 18th October 2020

19 Oct 2020 05:38:12
Excellent result on Saturday now the biggest test begins can Rangers keep winning and stay top we have to learn from last season I can see something different this year the way the manager down played the result remaining calm and the players are hungry Celtic will slip more points we have to be there this time to take full advantage i'm not getting carried away just yet but if Rangers open up a 9 point gap before we play Celtic again then the league is ours to win that would put Rangers in full control the next couple of months will be interesting for sure my only question is do they have it in them to be consistent?

19 Oct 2020 09:12:40
As I said the other day! Its the next few games that will make or break our season.

19 Oct 2020 09:21:52
Win nothing in Oct, this season is about making sure we continue the form into the new year and sustain it through the business end of the season.

19 Oct 2020 10:17:23
I think our players are performing better because they don't have the pressure of 50k fans👍.

19 Oct 2020 11:10:26
Hope all health issues work out stig.

19 Oct 2020 11:24:23
Saturday was all about laying down a marker.
As Gerrard said himself - we weren't at our best but we didn't need to be!
That's how easy it was on Saturday.
Now we need to go on a winning run against the other teams until we face Celtic again.
Consistency is the key to winning the league.

19 Oct 2020 12:04:40
Thanks John25 😊.

19 Oct 2020 12:16:47
Totally agree MrPotoehead.

19 Oct 2020 12:22:00
Called that at start of season Coldo.60mims gone at ibrox and u haven't scored yet your going to start feeling the pressure.

19 Oct 2020 03:42:24
Am just surprised by the few who think there better than everyone else, better supporters than the rest do you not think it's quite childish are you not getting g tired of playing the same record?

Even after a win a good win a good 3 points they still want to take time out to come on here and have digs at fellow supporters
Is it not time to move on and do what you keep preaching support the team and stop looking for negatives against anyone who criticised the manager when we draw games or lose games like last season just because we expected to win?

think a few need to take a time out and let people just enjoy the result and results of recent games since the draw at hibs

And it's not just us fans who criticised the manager,
The manager has criticised his own players and own management at times and recently he has been openly and vocal about trying to get this team over the line? his excactly words?

So what do you all say to Steven Gerrard? Please answer that

DK19 you said In post while ago I slagged of our captain
I have never slagged off our captain and I reiterate I put a long post on here to say how much respect I have for him as a professional the amount of games played the way he keeps himself fir and looks after himself with the amount of games he plays every season Along with goldson

John25 keep seeing your recent posts too about all this supporter stuff as a supporter we are allowed to come on and have rants we are allowed to come on and criticise

These players get paid a fortune, do you guys really think for one second really care what we say on these pages? Do you?
I can almost say with certainty they don't and it makes no blind bit of difference what she hell we say whether good or bad
They will play the way they play every individual game the way they feel fit too

I'm almost certain everyone in here at some point had taken criticism in there lives and also taken positives
But either way at end of day you will go about your buisness and lives the way you want too regardless of what people say think or do? Will you not.?

Here I am 3.30am sitting feeling ill had a C.V. test waiting my results
Worrying g if I have it will I pass to wife and my young kids

But still upbeat about the game and the way we have played recently we have a good squad this year good depth everyone looks like playing g for shirt

Let's just be happy together everyone
There's a lot more to worry about in our own lives than trying to have digs at folk on here who I'm sure non Of us have ever met each other everyone has opinions take the. On board have your say and move on
too many still hanging on too things from weeks and months ago
Let it go it's not worth worrying about or getting annoyed about surely?

19 Oct 2020 06:39:02
Here here the stig hope you feel better soon bud 👍.

19 Oct 2020 07:00:16
That's a good post stig but maybe a little less over reaction to dropping points and folk wouldn't be pulling you and others up?
That doesn't mean the manager or players should be immune from criticism.
The football season is a long one full of ups and downs. Let's stay calm.
Let's all move forward together.

Hope you're feeling better.

19 Oct 2020 07:09:11
Never mind the rest of the Bullocks. Hope your ok bud.
I agree that some of the back-biting in here is stupid. Especially when we have enough enemies outside our walls.
I try to let it go because every bit of it comes from a place of passion with Rangers at the heart. I still get annoyed tho when people are unreasonable in their thinking.

19 Oct 2020 07:33:31
Well put stig! Hope you're feeling better soon mate, it's a horrible situation to be in.

19 Oct 2020 07:50:50
Well said thestig totally agree mate.

19 Oct 2020 07:51:42
Thanks guys

Mrgrumpy take on board what your saying and first to hold my hand up and say yes I do get carried away lol
I will be more patient and reign it in a bit mate lol

Recent run of games has been excellent. And great to watch and see our team performing so well 😊
Your right long way to go and most likely points will be dropped from all teams
Hopefully we’re sitting top come end of season 😊.

19 Oct 2020 07:55:54
All the best stig 💙❤.

19 Oct 2020 07:57:20
Get better Stig and look after yourself and your family. It puts things like football in perspective doesn't it? This is supposed to be a banter site where fans can all put their views across. It doesn't mean we all have to agree, but there is no need for nastiness and bitter comments about one another. I've a feeling #55 will be this season so let's all stick together.

19 Oct 2020 08:02:55
Probably because the optimistic like me and others could see the size of task Gerrard had to undertake whilst the pessimistic like yourself and others couldn't and desperately jumped on every mistake by the manager and players.
You and others are one mistake, draw or loss and formation change away from a meltdown!
P. S. fingers crossed you are negative and get well soon. 👍.

19 Oct 2020 08:17:17
Stig, I’m with MrPotato and Grumpy on this one. Being unhappy with results or performances is one thing but fans who think they know more about football than our manager are just daft.

Anyone who thinks SG does not care or does not see deficiencies is deluded. We are on a long road back that has no instant fix but IMO we are very close.

Hope you’re ok.

19 Oct 2020 08:33:38
Mr potatoehead
DK19

Hear what your saying we are on a long journey back and definitely getting there now
Points taken as I said above to mr grumpy will be trying to reign it in, in my criticism when things are not going well at any point t in future
We come in here for banter a place to chat to fellow supporters I definitely do not come in to have arguments and neither want or need them

So hopefully we can move on?

I reiterate we have a cracking squad now a good manager in Gerrard learning as he goes
I’ll gladly say I’m glad he’s still here and I truly hope he can get us over the line
And excited to see where go from here not just this season but in the next few years club is building brick by brick and doing a great job by board down

Thanks for comments from everyone
Hoping if I’m positive it’s going to be mild can’t imagine if I get any worse
Think I can say I would be very worried if breathing gets any worse and had to visit the hospital
Hoping it’s just the normal flu at worst

Atleast I can send some texts to friends from the dark side to wind them up to cheer me up 😄.

19 Oct 2020 08:42:19
So the "pessimistic" like me were blind to the size of the task in front of Gerrard? Balls! I, like every other fan, was aware of what lay in front of him so don't go there with rubbish like that!
I don't believe there is anyone on here who think they know better than our manager (I know I don't), but there are those who expect better than getting beat by teams like Kilmarnock, dropping points against Livi, Hibs and others and getting pumped out of the cups by Hearts and Aberdeen. That's where the issues lie!
Do I think we're nearly there? Yes! Can we do it this year? Of course! However, it's only October, and with our previous over the last 2 years, I'm keeping my powder dry until we actually win something.

19 Oct 2020 08:42:26
Terrifically written heartfelt post Thestigno1👍A lot of truth in your post mate and i hope to god you'll be ok and get through this pal🙏I wish you and your family all the health and happiness in the world pal! God bless you and your family 🙏
Take care my friend 🙏I work in an hospital and this virus is so aggressive and devestating mate but we can hopefully all get there in the end, with some light at the end of the tunnel, by hopefully next spring at the latest 🤔.

19 Oct 2020 09:03:38
Thanks SGL

Hope you stay safe mate working in hospital at this time must be a scary time and hard and a worry.
Hope you and family stay safe bud.

Papers are full of great reading today in the football world 😀.

19 Oct 2020 09:54:48
Hope you are better soon Stig mate 👍.

19 Oct 2020 10:21:21
BMGHO1 spot on👍, Hope you're doing good Stig👍.

19 Oct 2020 10:44:29
Hope you’re ok mate 👍🏻 on you’re point about nobody on here ever meeting each other I’ve wondered a few times, I bet i know folk on here and cause of the nicknames we’ll never know lol just a silly thought. All the best mate 🇬🇧.

19 Oct 2020 11:26:28
Dk you go on about people slagging tav and goldson, last season they were a bomb scare defensively. Lost count the amount of times we were exposed. This year of course is much better. I think that's because both davis and kamara are sitting covering tav and barasic where as last season it was just jack that would sit. We have changed our tactics from last season and this has made us more structured defensively. So fans have been right to point out these flaws. Its area's where fans want us to improve. 👍.

19 Oct 2020 12:04:00
Thanks guys 😊

Still no news on result - think the worry of it is making me feel worse if that makes sense.
thanks for all the nice comments it’s very much appreciated. 😊.

19 Oct 2020 12:44:00
Until you find out stig, it will be playing on your mind mate. I went through it all a few mnths back and it was not a good time at all. I was lucky that it was only myself who fell ill and not my wife and kids as that was my big worry.
Fingers crossed mate it comes back negative. Take care!

19 Oct 2020 15:37:09
Good post stig and hope you are negative. My results took 5 days to come through and had to phone up to get them so you may want to consider that if you are isolating just now and need to get out.

19 Oct 2020 16:17:10
Thanks BMGH01 hope you feel better now mate

JC was hearing earlier there problems at the test facilty possibly and may take longer than expected only fear is they lose it and have too try drag myself back out to do another
Think I’ll call tomorrow if not heard anything and see if I can get the result
Hope you feel better now too mate 😊.

19 Oct 2020 17:29:18
I was fine, it was one of the weans that had a cold and got sent home from school that put us into isolation either for 2 weeks or proved to them she was negative. Had to take the other 2 weans out of school and the wife and I off work until we got our tests back, thankfully now the schools have changed their policy as it would have been a helluva long winter.
Yip, I don't fancy doing that test again, not pleasant one bit.

19 Oct 2020 18:35:36
Well said Stig, I hope your test is negative, and you and your family can stay safe, we all love Rangers, I agree we should all just accept each opinion and move on, all the best pal.

19 Oct 2020 18:37:17
If you weren't blind to the size of the task facing Gerrard, BMGH01, why do you lose the plot at a draw against Livi and Hibs?
We have no God given right to win every game.
Gerrard said himself when he first took the job, it was a 4 year project to get us back to where we belong.
He's improved the team year on year player wise.
Personally we now need to win the league this year.
A lot of people are losing their mind about not winning any trophy but for our financial stability the Europa League runs were more important.
We will easily win the league if our consistency improves against the other sides as we are now totally dominant over Celtic.
We've now played everyone and have a record of 9 wins, 2 draws and are top if the league undefeated having visited Aberdeen, Hibs, Motherwell, Livi and Celtic. Not a bad return for even the pessimistic to dwell on whereas us optimists are over the moon.

20 Oct 2020 13:59:59
The Europa league run was more important for our financial stability! Really?
Hurrah, let's arrange an open top bus for the next time our accounts are published! How does the 1st of April suit you?

19 Oct 2020 03:22:27
Its nearly morning time for most, I've Had a look through the vast amount of posts since Sunday morning and its the usual points that follow every week usually

I felt when the season began that no fans meant a whole different ball game, anyone who doesn't get that simply don't get pro football, many. many players have had all the talent in the world, and simply couldn't handle big crowds or hostile crowds, even their own fans, other people can't seem to kick a ball or run 6 feet onin an empty ground, put them in front of lots of people and they come alive, this may be suiting our good players better, or we're more of a team together so we can get out on a park with or without fans and play as a team, this has probably been a couple of years in the making, but its showing now, whatever, its a fact that some just play better without fans getting to them.

19 Oct 2020 08:28:41
Interesting post Tom but what happens if/ when fans are back in?

Is it more important for fans to be able to boo the players when they make an error or play poorly even though that may make the situation worse, cause a player to lose confidence (Kamara last season) and potentially lose the league or, should supports get behind the retransmit no matter what to encourage them to play better?

I agree that professional players should be tough enough to ignore the booboys but I’m more interested in winning than hearing how poor a player is from a supporter.

19 Oct 2020 10:22:33
Fans didn't make kamara lose form, gerrard and his constant tinkering was the problem. 👍.

19 Oct 2020 11:00:05
I posted yesterday a similar point about our captain. Is it a coincidence he's all of a sudden started playing some of the best football he's ever produced for our club. If it is down to no fans then they better get themselves prepared for change because if you can't stand the heat get out of the fire. No fans ain't going to be forever.

19 Oct 2020 13:44:42
Kamara was in poor form last season (not the only one) that's WHY SG had to tinker/ change things 😉.

19 Oct 2020 00:48:41
Steven Thompson as the presenter on sportscene is absolutely terrible
And I thought that show could not get any cheaper or tackyer 😂 it's actually cringe to watch reminds me of John barns when he used to present Chanel 5 football but I think Thompson is even worse 😂.

19 Oct 2020 08:45:00
I agree Deanobear! The best pundit around IMO is neil mccann without a shred of doubt 👌The wee man is class and knows his stuff and talks total sense 👌.

19 Oct 2020 09:23:58
Stewart's face was a picture when McCann was explaining how/ why rangers won! 😁.

19 Oct 2020 10:48:58
I’ve seen big Thommo slur he’s sentences and mix his words when reading his script Few times, sportscenes a Terrible programme nowadays.

19 Oct 2020 14:26:23
Love Neil Macanese also warming to Darren Fletcher.
