On Ibrox News: Rangers want to sign Theo Bongonda from Belgian side KRC Genk, but face competition from Greek champions Olympiacos according to Georgios Sideridis.

1.) 11 Jul 2022 18:21:35
He’s away to Middle East apparently, I think Rabbi puts an end to any interest we had in him plus closer to our price range.

2.) 11 Jul 2022 18:50:16
He is going to the Middle East that guy.

3.) 11 Jul 2022 20:59:12
Yip i agree with both Stormtrooper and coully ?Rangers will sign rabbi montondo as opposed to theo bongonda as he's off to the UAE i believe and as both play in the same position we've moved on to montondo when we realised we weren't able to sign bongonda ?.

4.) 11 Jul 2022 21:08:24
On Ibrox News: the latest absolute piffle probably from Fraser Fletcher. Really wish people didn't listen to them. They're not Rangers fans.

Rangers News Feed on Facebook running a story saying Billy Gilmour coming back on loan. Could just be click bait.

1.) 23 May 2022 12:05:42
I seen some report last week about gilmour.

2.) 23 May 2022 12:13:17
Heard it from a few different people this story.

3.) 23 May 2022 12:25:23
Think there could be something in this story, would be a great signing for us.

4.) 23 May 2022 12:28:03
This is under consideration.

5.) 23 May 2022 12:30:36
It’s certainly at the forefront, my only minor issue is we are developing someone else’s player to detriment of mcann McKinnon Lowry.

6.) 23 May 2022 12:54:04
Its not to detriment of others though is it John. We will play 50+ games so there will be plenty game time for all plus having a player like Gilmour alongside our young players can help develop their game. Its a win win.

7.) 23 May 2022 12:57:54
Maybe be a good lesson to the young up and coming players that the grass ain’t always greener in the epl and jumping ship to early ain’t a good thing….

8.) 23 May 2022 13:02:56
Id rather go with our own young lads plus how many midfielders do we need wish we had more strikers that can score when needed.

9.) 23 May 2022 13:03:26
I agree with you John but he would be a good signing for us and as coldo says we will play a lot of games.?

10.) 23 May 2022 13:04:50
Cant have it both ways john you say we can't stand still. Gilmour is a level above any of our youth at the moment. I think if gilmour does come i think kamara will move on.

11.) 23 May 2022 13:13:44
Correct John25, it's a huge detriment.
We seen it in the Cup Final.
Diallo ( who I quite liked ) getting a game before any of our young players and who then goes back to Man Utd.
And if you bring in Gilmour ( who I also like ) , it means we have a midfield before anyone gets sold of Lundstram, Arfield, Jack, Kamara, Aribo, Hagi and Sands.
Add in the potential for Mccann, Lowry and McKinnon takes us up to 11 players.
A lot of players to:-
1/ keep happy
2/ convince youngsters there is a pathway to the first team.

12.) 23 May 2022 13:15:51
Paul, I know exactly what you say, Gilmour for a year leaves we could go backwards,
I’m not against the signing and certainly don’t doubt his ability.

13.) 23 May 2022 13:22:27
Gilmour is top quality, you can’t turn down the opportunity to sign a player like that even if it’s a loan because of our youth, McCann is probably at the stage he should go to another spl side on loan, Lowry is irrelevant to gilmour. Gilmour is relevant to Jack, Kamara and lundstram, Jack is 20/ 25 games a season and kamara is liked a little further forward now but might move on, lundstram is nailed on starter as it stands.

14.) 23 May 2022 13:13:44

{Ed002's Note - Gilmour is not moving to Rangers.}

17.) 23 May 2022 13:29:13
It’s a non starter confirmed by Stevie from 4Lads, he’s Gilmours uncle.

18.) 23 May 2022 13:36:06
Gilmour i believe contract expires next summer, with one year left in his deal we could possibly buy him this summer.

19.) 23 May 2022 14:04:23
Why would we buy gilmour we let him leave.

20.) 23 May 2022 14:12:09
How can signing gilmour be a detriment? What a load of garbage. So should we not sign any new players then as its considered a detriment? . We should always be aiming higher and if any players already at the club can't step up and compete then get rid. We should never knock back a better player than what we have whether its a loan deal or not just because young players might get less game time or we have 11 players in that position already. I have read some garbage on here but that is a belter.

21.) 23 May 2022 14:37:23
Why would we not Tango? Just because we let a player go doesn't mean we can't buy them again. Strange question.

22.) 23 May 2022 14:38:16
Straight over Coldo's head. There is a difference from buying a first team starter than there is bringing in a player on loan to make up the squad numbers when we have youth good enough to play a few games.
Who do you drop for Gilmour?
Midfield 3 of Lundstram Jack Kamara. When Jack gets rested you play McCann.
When Kamara gets rested you play Arfield.
From the same Coldo who was creaming his pants at Gio giving youth a chance.
But now wants to bring another loan player in from another team that stifles our young players development.
I have read some garbage on here but that is a belter.

23.) 23 May 2022 15:05:19
Gilmour doesn't make up the squad, he starts before any player we have in cm. Drop Jack kamara and lundstram, gilmour is hands down better than any of those. Gilmour is first team. Stop talking garbage.

24.) 23 May 2022 15:12:42
Ace great to see you returning to your coldo days trying to bully others. We’re all entitled to our opinion
Ed 1 called you out correctly, as always a leopycant charge it’s spots.

Not sure we can afford someone Chelsea value at 40 million
As always ph a well written post.

25.) 23 May 2022 15:20:58
Gilmour a level above arfield kamara Jack mccann. If the chance to sign him on loan comes up we should be all over it. Mccann like others say could go to a hearts for eg for a year on loan to develop at spl level. People can't honestly say yhey would rather have mccann than gilmour for a season ???.

26.) 23 May 2022 15:21:32
John with one year left on his contract the fee wouldn't be anywhere near 40 million.

27.) 23 May 2022 15:41:03
Mark what do u think his valuation would be.

28.) 23 May 2022 15:53:29
It is emotional sentimental nonsense to reject Gilmour on the grounds of not developing young players. Gilmour is an outstanding talent - you bring in the best players you can. You always take the 'risk' if there is one. For every Aaron Ramsey there's been a Gazza.

29.) 23 May 2022 16:02:20
Considering he's one year left on his current deal, isn't a first team starter with chelsea and just been relegated with norwich around 10 million, where are you hearing 40 million john?

30.) 23 May 2022 16:06:27
Gilmour didn't want to sign pro terms with us, so he can forget coming on loan. We should be looking to bring through players who want to be rangers players.

31.) 23 May 2022 17:03:00
When he appeared in their CL squad lampard stated that was his sell on Claus.

32.) 23 May 2022 17:04:41
Whilst you are all arguing about gilmour, what's his value? Is he batter than what we have? Why develop him instead of our own.

I'll answer all that for you. Just go on transfermarkt. com it's what every scout uses. It's gives you everything you need to know, gilmour is in the final 12months of his contract, so a 12month loan with a loan fee at the end could easily see him sign for us, Chelsea may even sell him for a reduced fee in January. He's not in Chelsea plans. Transfermarkt values him at 10.5m now I'm aware players down there go for double that value, so there you go I'm sure he would jump at the chance to come and play at ibrox again, beats playing for Norwich, some player we could turn him into and a good profit when he signs for Everton some point down the line. Anyway he's easily better than Jack and kamara. Hooe he signs.

{Ed001's Note - I have never known a scout to use that. They use sites such a WyScout to look at players.}

33.) 23 May 2022 17:08:54
Mark if we could some how get 12 month loan with garenteed signing when contract up it would be incredible deal.
As I said guy on Saturday was adamant.

34.) 23 May 2022 17:18:46
Bassey is valued at £900,000 on transfermarket so we should just accept that for him, ArfieldSalute?
Sounds like some right good bargains to be had on there.

35.) 23 May 2022 17:28:12
100% agree john.

36.) 23 May 2022 17:55:21
imho mccann and mckinnon should go on loan to a team in our league, like a st mirren or ross county to gain experience of top flight scottish football, lowry must stay and be a regular for us next season, he's shown his quality every time he has featured and is definitely one of, if not the best, young players to break into our first team in the past 20 years.

37.) 23 May 2022 18:56:24
Got it from good sources from 2 different people that know Billy, he won’t be back up at Rangers next season unfortunately.

38.) 23 May 2022 19:00:20
MrPH in absolutely fairness to Arfield the site is ok to find out info ie. Loan deal if then return to parent club
How long there.

Where they have been etc, valuation is simply someone guess. Bassey as an example has increased in value dramatically over last two months and probably the last two games.
We all know a club have a value, buying club have a limit, but I’m very sure we could see some bidding war some day. Hopefully not this summer.

39.) 23 May 2022 19:25:04
As much as I like Gilmour, I don't see him becoming a first team player at Chelsea. I think the Norwich loan has definitely impacted his value. Would love to see us try and wangle an option to buy with any loan deal. Might be a big financial outlay for us but would walk into the team and be a great replacement for Davis. Lundstram, Jack and Gilmour sounds a great mid 3 to me.

40.) 23 May 2022 19:55:58
Players only worth what a team are willing to pay. Diallo not worth 36m was he, I wouldn't even pay 3m for him. Basseys value on transfermarket will sky rocket next update. Go through the rangers squad all values are fair. A players current value has nothing to do with what a club may pay for them. but it's a good guide to go by. Jack grealish for example was valued around 25m when at villa, he's now valued at 72m at City, but City payed 105m for him. Its like a house guys, some estate agents might value your house 30k more than another, and the house hunter might over pay by 45k if they really want it. Depends on what the value is to them.

6months ago bassey was only a few million pound player, but now he's on that Alan Hutton rise, where every passing game he gets better and better, and that's why his value will rocket and also if he does get sold there will be many hats in the ring so the transfer fee will go up, I wouldn't take anything less than 17m for him now.

02 Mar 2022 13:54:02
Just saw this on a facebook group.

Rangers have made a contract offer to Schalke goalkeeper Martin Fraisl, according to Spox and Goal. Norwich are also interested in the keeper whose contract expires this summer.

Does anybody know about this?

colin1968

1.) 02 Mar 2022 14:57:37
There was some chat in the rags about this last week I think.

There is a cracking keeper under our noses at Dundee utd available for a free.

2.) 02 Mar 2022 16:49:38
Definitely take the utd GK.

3.) 02 Mar 2022 17:31:06
Agreed there CVD, I've been very impressed with the DU goallie every time I've seen him play.

4.) 04 Mar 2022 08:21:53
Agree about Itd keeper. He’s a gem.

5.) 04 Mar 2022 12:30:19
I know very little about this guy and given other recent signings I do worry that he will just be another squad player!
Personally I would go with young McCrorie for next season!

31 Jan 2022 14:27:39
Barker to Hibs?

colin1968

1.) 31 Jan 2022 14:30:52
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

2.) 31 Jan 2022 14:32:50
Would tell them 2 million. Play them at their own game.

3.) 31 Jan 2022 14:35:47
I'll pick him up myself drop him off.

4.) 31 Jan 2022 14:43:52
Take nisbet possibly?

5.) 31 Jan 2022 14:47:28
OT, we can ask for £2M if they were the ones chasing Barker, whereas we are wanting rid.

6.) 31 Jan 2022 14:49:12
Does he need a lift?

7.) 31 Jan 2022 14:49:37
Just seen that cob 🤣 u pay the petrol al run him.

8.) 31 Jan 2022 15:17:13
Would actually swap itten for Nesbit tho.

13 Sep 2020 16:29:21
Just noticed a video on youtube from yesterday talking about West Brom transfer targets, saying that they are (were) interested in Morelos.

colin1968

1.) 13 Sep 2020 17:04:27
Somdy different every day now Colin
Think folk Just holding off too a real concrete bid comes in too set the bench mark n test rangers resolve nearer the end of the window.

2.) 13 Sep 2020 17:53:38
I was reading that some of their fans were saying that they wouldn't take him even if it was a free transfer. What? Their team is not exactly brimming with class is it?

3.) 13 Sep 2020 21:36:52
Lol jyf
Yeah you won't please everyone but
Morelos will score wherever he ends up
Free transfer they wish.

4.) 14 Sep 2020 15:53:00
Arrogance of English clubs like 70 million pepe or 60 million ndombele have worked out for English clubs lol there has been way more failed French signings yet English teams keep paying crazy fees for French players. Just because of the odd mahrez signing. This idea that mo good enough for Europe but not England laughable. What did English teams win in Europe this year 🤔😂.

5.) 14 Sep 2020 16:22:52
To be fair mate there’s been some crackers too, and many of them, the money thing isn’t English clubs showing off or anything like that, it is because they are handed massive sums through the EPL and associated sponsorship and worldwide television sales and they have to spend that kind of money to stay involved in the top echelon.

So it looks like Hibs will be out the League Cup for fielding a suspended player. How can a top flight club make a basic mistake like that? Surely the management team should know who has suspensions? I watched some of the game last night and they were woeful, but for a top flight club to go out because of failing basic eligibility rules is shocking!

colin1968

1.) 21 Jul 2022 14:41:45
Apparently ( and I read this online ) they didn't want to actually sign the player in question. He was on loan last year and if he played a certain amount of games, they had to sign him?
The player himself had said his goodbyes at the end of the season.
But Hibs were forced by the selling club to honour the deal?
Sounds made up? But it is Hibs we are talking about!

2.) 21 Jul 2022 14:45:03
Maybe Celtic will get a bye in the next round then ??.

3.) 21 Jul 2022 15:03:10
Hibs actually unlikely to qualify regardless.

4.) 21 Jul 2022 15:07:12
It’s happened with biggish clubs before and it will happen again.

5.) 21 Jul 2022 15:39:58
It 100% did happen MPH. They posted on social media about him leaving and then a week later he was signing a three year deal.

6.) 21 Jul 2022 15:45:59
Cheers Snell.
It's like one of those Urban Legend stories you hear about!

7.) 21 Jul 2022 15:58:49
Mph. Snell 100% correct. Alllegedly they thought only league games counted, not cup ties so we’re forced to buy him.

8.) 21 Jul 2022 16:05:57
Looks like they are just as bad off the field as they are on it. Imagine getting beat by Falkirk and Morton in the same competition and you were cheating at the same time. This is undoubtedly a bitter pill to swallow for their fans but rules are rules.

9.) 21 Jul 2022 16:18:38
Shame. Poor Hibs.

10.) 21 Jul 2022 16:38:23
I know eh seeker. My heart bleeds ??.

11.) 21 Jul 2022 17:10:45
Sporting integrity needs to be upheld.

11 Jul 2022 17:44:07
Apparently we are signing Connor Young from Hibs. 17 Year old forward. Another Youth or B team prospect. John, you heard of this boy?

colin1968

1.) 11 Jul 2022 17:58:00
Yep seen him against us. Ok.

2.) 11 Jul 2022 18:29:26
25 goals for Hibs U18s last season.

3.) 11 Jul 2022 18:39:41
According to reports the signing of hibs under 18 centre forward connor young is practically a done deal ?
We've certainly signed a lot of young talent over the last few weeks which looks good for the future ?.

4.) 11 Jul 2022 20:15:11
Walter he is not their best forward in that age group.
Could add something to us.

5.) 11 jul 2022 21:15:59
whats the chances of getting oconnors boy john?

6.) 11 Jul 2022 21:19:03
Boy that was in the stands last week.

7.) 11 Jul 2022 21:34:41
Would cost us plenty, don’t think hibs will deal, kid will be around first team I suspect Tom.

8.) 11 Jul 2022 21:40:15
O'connor and laidlaw hibs think have more chance of making it at them, that's why young has beenn allowed to leave.

17 Mar 2022 20:09:49
Rangers through to the Quarter Finals and Mally laughing on the other site that Ramsey didn't feature. They really do need to push for a negative spin don't they? A great achievement for Rangers and Scottish football and that is what he focuses on?

colin1968

1.) 17 Mar 2022 20:42:49
Col, who are that lot playing tonight 🤔 poor Chalkys keyboard will be taking a right hammering tonight.
What a fantastic chance we have now of going all the way, not a great start tonight but job done.

2.) 17 Mar 2022 20:52:29
And Chalky and Timalie in fact every single one of them are raging with Envy, they are hurting bad, all their pee about hoping we win to give them a better chance of winning the league, they wanted us out of the europa, I would never want them to win any game.
Imagine what they'll be like if we knock Barcelona out.
Well done Rangers, cannot wait for the draw ☺.

3.) 17 Mar 2022 22:07:57
And that Brexit is exactly as it should be my man. 😊.

4.) 17 Mar 2022 23:34:52
Col, yea, he probably forgot his main point in ramsay not playing, he had it on a line (snip) with west ham as a wee bonus, shhh don't tell her indoors, lol, fud.

21 Dec 2021 14:36:45
That will be the Old Firm game getting played behind closed doors. Timplosion in-coming! Conspiracy moonhowlers at the ready! But this is to protect lives. I'll be losing a lot of work, but understand what needs done.

colin1968

1.) 21 Dec 2021 15:05:41
That mob will be seething, they were hoping for a 60,000 baying mob against us on 2nd January.

2.) 21 Dec 2021 15:10:47
The rates of hospitalisation is at the same levels as July! Deaths although tragic are at the same levels as flu!

3.) 21 Dec 2021 15:12:36
There trying to bring winter break forward mate.

4.) 21 Dec 2021 15:35:30
No point in bringing winter break forward it's going be the same for months now. I was mocked on here weeks ago for suggesting this was going happen.

5.) 21 Dec 2021 15:47:13
Yes you were sweep, saw it coming myself.

6.) 21 Dec 2021 15:50:21
Guaranteed they will want the winter break brought forward early.

7.) 21 Dec 2021 16:01:54
It isn't exactly crystal ball premonitions.
We've had nearly 2 years of this.
Most lockdowns / partial lockdowns after scaremongering rhetoric from those in charge at Holyrood and Westminster.
If it's that bad, why are we all allowed to mix at Xmas? Surely the shutdown should be immediate?

8.) 21 Dec 2021 16:14:16
Sky and bt will hopefully stop that fruit bear.

9.) 21 Dec 2021 16:16:51
Sweep no u were not. U guessed like most others. Omicron was not here weeks ago.
Can u tell us how many variants we will have next year.

10.) 21 Dec 2021 16:21:38
Your crystal ball wasn't working spud because you mocked him and said it wouldn't happen.

11.) 21 Dec 2021 16:23:48
MPH. We're allowed xmas because those in power don't want their popularity to plummet even further than it already has.

12.) 21 Dec 2021 16:39:23
I said they'd give us christmas and then restrictions would come.

13.) 21 Dec 2021 16:54:44
My Da's bigger than you're Da!

FFS, point scoring is getting ridiculous on here - time to grow up.

14.) 21 Dec 2021 16:55:19
Mocked no you weren’t the majority of people new it would happen.

15.) 21 Dec 2021 16:56:03
Oh coldo at least you got one thing right this year 😬.

16.) 21 Dec 2021 17:07:44
Sweep and barrow lad, your wife stay safe at work,

17.) 21 Dec 2021 17:16:21
KJA9 you said it wouldn't happen, and yes he was mocked.

18.) 21 Dec 2021 17:39:48
Stormtrooper you were top of the list who said it wouldn't happen.

19.) 21 Dec 2021 18:06:27
When's the lockdown coming in sweep?

20.) 21 Dec 2021 18:17:21
Correct Parlane. 👍.

21.) 21 Dec 2021 18:18:32
Sweep do we have closed stadiums? Are you still saying lockdown by January? All this because you have your finger on the pulse of government decisions! What part of the NHS is at breaking point? You do work in it after all.

22.) 21 Dec 2021 19:00:50
Awk Barrowlad your clutching at straws none.

04 May 2021 13:28:13
We have a few players out on loan. What players do you think will come back, be sold, or go out on loan again?

Jamie Murphy, Glen Middleton, Brandon Barker, George Edmundson, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie? I'm not sure any of those will feature again.

colin1968

1.) 04 May 2021 13:33:51
Can't see any of them coming back into the team, most won't even make the squad!

2.) 04 May 2021 13:48:32
I agree with DoTheBouncy, we will be looking to sign players to take us in to the champions league and none of those fall in to that category colin. 👍.

3.) 04 May 2021 13:59:30
Colin ones you name have no future.

4.) 04 May 2021 14:27:13
Have to agree with DTB and Coldo. One of These players can’t take Rangers forward. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

5.) 04 May 2021 14:28:00
None of these players I meant 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

The only one I ever thought had a chance, Colin1968, was Edmundson.
But we have 4 CH's at present and he doesn't dislodge any of them.
We also have Katic to come back from injury though I expect him to go on loan to help with his recovery.

Champions league requires far superior quality of talent, none of those boys will ever reach the level needed

We must sell properly and invest wisely, a few areas need a serious upgrade, I believe, that defence wouldn’t survive at that level, great as they have been in Scotland and europa,

Just my educated guess but I think the manager will know that.

None of them will play for rangers again.

9.) 04 May 2021 16:04:23
Middleton, Kelly, Kennedy, Mayo will all be given chances to impress during pre season.

The others i think will all move on.

Forgit about hastie and Murphy, not good enough unfortunately.

1 I'd be intrested in but not next season is Stephen Kelly. more than held his own at Ross county. another year or 2 on loan and who knows.

Nobody mentioned Mayo Kennedy or Kelly.
I believe all 3 have futures though Mayo will go out on loan. I believe so will Kennedy and I think Kelly may well be kept for the first half of season to back up davo and if he’s not up to it go out on loan I January that’s what I see happening.

Great news but I really feel we need an out-and-out striker as back up. Roofe is always unavailable. Outside Roofe and Morelos I think Arfield is our top scorer from open play, but his 34 goals are across several seasons. And I know Tav has scored more than that, but not from open play.

Goforbigcf2, I would assume the coaching staff and the manager would have looked at more than just youtube clip compilations before showing interest.

Tymon AND Yilmaz? Are they both not left backs?

Why are we assuming the boy will even want to come? He may not want to swap game time at SPL level for playing for our development teams.

No need to eat the humble pie. We'd won 1 away in the last 11 away ties. Superb result tonight that continues the highs from last season.

He doesn't seem to be a big personality on the pitch. He doesn't stand out. But he always seems to be in the right place and maybe that's what you want from a defender. Too many of our previous defenders are caught out of position while trying to look flashy. He seems quietly competent and comfortable with his role.

Storm, I'd perhaps question how the issue was missed when he had his medical, but if I was the player I'd also question why my previous club missed the issue. But as GVB said, the boys health is the priority and not being able to play again professionally must be heartbreaking, so supporting him should be the focus. I hope the club looks after him if he's unable to continue.

Stubbsies, you seem to have singled me out, just because I spoke out against the comments on the other page.
Fact is, you DID actually join in with one of the worst threads of hatred aimed at ALL Rangers fans that has appeared on the Celtic pages for a long time. Saying your father is Rangers fan HERE while joining in on the other side? Okay, whatever. I'll leave you to dig yourself deeper.

And there we go. I blast people for the relentless hatred and bile, but suddenly I'M the one who is in the wrong. Have you seen what was written about us on the Celtic pages? Who wrote "I'm still trying to lock down its species Ed! " Was that you? And you're expecting me to say sorry for including you in the bile?
