Think Defoe could do with calling down a bit before anything has been fully agreed/ announced. If his social media activity has not been received well already he's doing himself nor the 'return of Gerrard' any favours as I think the owners would view this as being unprofessional.

Defoe9 - He is putting things out in the public spotlight before he has even walked through the door! Look at it from the owners perspective… if and when he walks through the door would they trust him to keep quiet over club sensitive/ confidential info? This has nothing do with any of us getting our priorities straight. I want people in who are desperate for the role and to be at the club and give it their all but he has to show a level of professionalism here IMO and throwing things out on social media doesn't do that. As good posters on here have said his posts have not been received well from within the club.

The thing I find strange is. Why is Defoe already on his way here (or already here) . Surely he'd wait until it was confirmed Gerrard was getting the post with himself as one of the coaching team before travelling all the way up here. If indeed he IS in Scotland then surely that means we're just waiting on the announcement!

This place never fails to amaze me.
I was the one that posted about the board being a less than impressed by Defoe's social media posts - and I genuinely didn't think that anyone would take exception to it.
Is it a hanging offence, of course not.
Is it a 'little unprofessional' of course it is - note the use of 'little'.
Folk really are on edge at the moment.
