Chris Jack reporting that talks with SG took place but they are still interviews to take place. It doesn't seem to be as far along as people think or Chris doesn't know one of the two.

Only know what I posted yesterday, there are 4 candidates and all four had to propose their backroom team as part of the interview.
As mentioned, some proposed members of backroom teams have been a little unprofessional on social media, which hasn't been received well.

If it is Gerrard I obviously hope it works. Still find it hard the way he left! The guy has done nowt since leaving to warrant a second chance. Hopeless at Villa and Dubai. Needs far more then 1 trophy in 9 this time around.

I understand the optics with Defoe won't go down well in the corporate setting, but as a fan he has injected some much needed joy. Great to see his enthusiasm and desire, we have needed that at Ibrox.

I don't know who will get it . It might be Gerrard it might not. The one thing I am pleased at is they are doing due diligence properly. Is Gerrard a done deal. No idea I suspect not at present.
I think they are following through on the interview process to completion as rightfully they should.

Bazza as I have said for the last 2 or 3 days it is 50/ 50, it is not done, its not as simple as it would of been say last year or certainly not a few years ago, there is a lot of moving parts and there needs to be comprises on certain things.

Heard a good analogy at work today about SG, it's like going back and being with your ex, why would you do it? It was ok the 1st time but it's your ex for a reason! Walter was like being with your dream out of reach girl, SG not so much.
