Hi
Four weeks ago I was confident Russel would be sacked, since then I cannot believe he is still here!
How bad do we need to be to sack him,
If he had Rangers at heart he would walk away.
He will be sacked eventually in my opinion, but how much more damage to our season will he cause.

I honestly don't think he will be sacked irrespective of how bad it gets.

I'm genuinely surprised he's lasted this long.

He's not going to walk away regardless of how hostile it gets, he has too much to lose financially if he walks away.
30 Sep 2025 15:35:09
He is on the "Point of no Return" it seems.
30 Sep 2025 15:43:51
Would you walk away and lose 3 years salary, of course not.

When I went to my first game in 1962 Scot Symon was manager. I've seen every manager since and imo Russell Martin is the worst and I never thought I would say that after pedro.

He's unfortunately here for the short to medium term at least guys unfortunately ?.
30 Sep 2025 16:47:59
You realise he does not have Rangers at heart. It is his job!
He doesn't care about the outcome, he just wants the money.
Football is just a business for these guys.

Are our owners hoping he might walk away because how hostile it's became? That's the only reason I can come up with as to how this is still ongoing. As people above are saying I can't see him walking away from that kind of money, so what the feck?
30 Sep 2025 18:23:24
How do you know Coops that he's here short to medium? Or is it your opinion?
30 Sep 2025 18:56:28
I am hanging on to the hope that the decision has been made and he won't be let go until we secure his replacement - similar to West Ham.
30 Sep 2025 18:56:31
Time to stop with the having 'Rangers at heart' posts. Who in their right mind would walk away from a multi million pay out for being a failure?
There will be opportunities for parties coming together and agreeing compensation packages for early termination. That may or may not happen, but never a chance he will just walk away.
30 Sep 2025 19:02:41
No inside info yateley mate ?I just think our owners are going to give him ample time and won't bow to supporter pressure ?.
30 Sep 2025 19:13:25
He won't be sacked as long as Rangers are winning also ehl who do you think would be ideal candidate.
30 Sep 2025 19:25:26
Sws, john said he's was told he was gone after the livi game if we failed to win. Looks like he's game to game until can string a few together. Mad he's still there. Aarons last min winner amd the 1st song was martin get tae f. Tells them all they need to know. And its not going to stop.
30 Sep 2025 20:51:14
If he was supposedly getting sacked if we failed to best Livi, I'm not so sure why a last minute winner against them was deemed acceptable and earned him a reprieve?
30 Sep 2025 21:00:31
That would explain the change to tactics and the players showing a bit more commitment EHL.
30 Sep 2025 21:11:27
What is ample time coops? Because I think he had had too much time already.
30 Sep 2025 21:23:44
If he gets through international break we have a major issue and Cannot see any change being made until Xmas . Any decent CEO wd do the decent thing and pay him off . To see a guy being berated as much as he is is not a nice thing and his family must be feeling it . For as much as I cannot stand him being our manager I think our owners etc have a duty of care to do the right thing.

SWS, can you explain what you mean by 'short term' and 'medium term' as compared to 'ample time'? Or are you keeping your options open mean time?
