If Stevie G accepts the offer to become our manager again, then it's my belief that our board will assure him that all his demands/ requests are met. If this happens, then strap yourself in guys, this could be some ride. An amazing one!
Steven Gerrard is an icon, and someone who exudes class, who brings many things we sadly lack. If he becomes our manager, and as soon as he walks through our front door, I bet every player in our squad will automatically get a lift. Imagine what it's like having to play, and impress him?
We don't have poor players! We have players who were rudderless under Martin! We have players who didn't know what they're doing! We have players who were lost playing out of position. All that will change!
We know Antman and Aasgard can play! Put these guys in a team with the right manager, real coaching, and playing in a formation that suits their skill set, and you will see the real player. Steven Gerrard is the man to do this.
I'm excited guys! C'mon Rangers make this happen. Let's go!

Bang on the button Sunshine, excellent post mate, instantly respected, my main reason for wanting Gerrard named as manager now.

CSunshine
Admire optimism but think you mentioned two guys who actually can play. Rest of RM attempts are garbage. Hopefully SG or whoever sees this bins soonest.

I've continually stated we have the players, Sunshine.
And that the issue was Martin.
Do I think Gerrard is the man? Not this time around.
Will I fully support him if he is giving the honour of managing us again after walking out on us before? Course I will. It's what we as fans do. We go all in. ?⚪?.

Sunshine
Bit worried because thought SG leaving last down to tight/ ham fisted board. ŔM just been given leverage to squander christ knows how much. We've got back some but hope SG given free reign in Transfer mkt.
09 Oct 2025 08:25:22
Sunshine, that's my thoughts too.
09 Oct 2025 08:26:36
Fingers crossed SS that they can get a deal done.
09 Oct 2025 08:27:43
Absolutely mate. I'd go as far as to say the league is not outwith our grasp any longer either.
We've got 3 games against Celtic to go if we can get 2 wins and a draw in them thw table changes dramatically.
09 Oct 2025 08:53:51
Sunshine was going to ask your opinion on him coming back yesterday but I forgot, ock well no need ?
I really hope your right in regards to player's, but I fear and think your not mate, but who knows with new manager new system. He has an aura not many men have.
I'm really excited aswell, but can't tell if it for Gerrard, or just to leave that sorry period behind us!
09 Oct 2025 08:57:22
Great post mate. I've not had a proper buzz about Rangers in a long time. If Gerrard comes back it will give the whole place a massive boost. The players need the crowd behind them quickly, and Gerrard will get everyone back on side from minute 1.

A certain poster on here earlier on in the year, said he would stop his support/ watching the Gers if Steven returned Wonder if he will stand by that? # WelcomehomeStevieG??????.
09 Oct 2025 09:10:40
He changed his mind a while back and posted in relation to said change, pay attention.
09 Oct 2025 09:33:21
Who was that poster Yately?
09 Oct 2025 09:35:10
I don't support the manager, I support Rangers football club.
09 Oct 2025 09:53:22
We can all make mistakes MPH, mate!
Nobody really knows what went on before he left, and like the majority of time, we are only guessing. From what I heard, his relationship with with Park Snr was a strained one at best.
Do I think it will be plain sailing? Not a chance! However, from where we were under Martin, to where I believe we'll be under Gerrard, is day and night.
If he is announced, and the day he is unveiled, I believe many of our support will be at Ibrox to welcome him.
Let's be honest here. That mob are not in great nick, and Hearts will never maintain their momentum, so any improvement will be positive. Watch us go!
09 Oct 2025 10:04:32
Yeah I don't think that's really worth bringing up tbh.
I thought he meant storm Beale but has he meant you mate?
Regardless it absolutely does not matter:
We all need to pull together now to make this work.
It's not about manager or players or fans ots aboit the collective and that's something we haven't done since Stevie was last here.
09 Oct 2025 10:12:26
Brilliant SS, he isn't my pick for the job but if he is picked to be our next manager I will get excited by it regardless. Think more so because of the state Martin has us in.
But I fully agree that he commands respect from everything he did in the game and most importantly that "winning" mentality and just sheer work rate, he won't suffer any fools in this squad.
Also bringing back standards which for me is a massive deal!
Although I will say we are going to see a strained relationship with Thelwell too so watch this space.
09 Oct 2025 10:17:53
People move jobs all of the time in football. He obviously had aspirations of managing in the EPL. All this he snuck out the door in the middle of the night stuff does my head in. We were well compensated when he left. Would he have been my choice, no, will I support him, absolutely.
09 Oct 2025 10:20:52
It was me asathor and yately trying to have a pathetic sly dig as that's what he is all about. Obviously he doesn't read posts or he would know ?.
09 Oct 2025 10:21:27
All his demands, what you mean paying players 40k a week, not releasing them when stocks are high? being able to leave and go a english club if they come calling.
through out the player trading model we all accept has to be in place to make us sustainable.
yup i can see 49ers just throwing out their plans to make SG successful.
09 Oct 2025 10:23:10
It was me Stevie he meant ?. I'll say it again and maybe he will read it this time if the powers at be appoint SG I will be 100% behind him the team I support. I hope he will bring us 56.
09 Oct 2025 11:07:22
Stevie, That certainty wouldn't have been me mate.
09 Oct 2025 11:21:13
Big Jim I think a lot of us are the same mate, we aren't falling over ourselves at the return of Gerrard, just to leave the whole rm process behind us, is giving us a lift, Gerrard maybe adding to that.
