Guys, am I the only one getting worried?
The new Rangers board isn't showing much aptitude for ownership so far. Stepping into such a historic club should come with vision, clarity, and strong leadership.

but what we've seen instead is indecision and questionable direction.
Their early choices suggest a lack of understanding of both the footballing side and the wider responsibility that comes with running Rangers.
The Supporters expect ambition and competence, yet the board's actions feel more like stumbling than steady progress. If this is how they intend to lead serious doubts will only continue to grow about whether they are the right custodians for the future of the club.

Not a happy Bear, or a trusting Bear under this stewardship?

Disappointed would be an understatement.

19 Sep 2025 12:21:41
Whenever I listen to him, the only word that springs to mind is Narcissist.

19 Sep 2025 12:40:39
It has been an utter shambles so far?.

19 Sep 2025 12:42:34
Stig I am worried about what is happening on the field yes. But if any fan thinks that these owners invested over £100M in the club without a plan which they are following they would be misguided. every large business does the same and only changes where they feel it benefits them. Customers can influence that change but it is slow to materialise often.

However what is happening here is that the owners and club aren't doing what the fans want or feel should happen so therefore they are clueless and incompetent.
Cavanagh and Marathe haven't made the multi-millions they have in a variety of ventures by not being smart.

it is just different and they will make the decisions they think are correct at a time which they think is correct. we may just have to live with that in whatever way each individual chooses as I don't see the owners making any changes to their strategy soon. They may get rid of Martin sooner than they would have wished but the grander strategy won't change IMO.

Let's wait and see what happens this weekend but even if we win he has to go. Hopefully they pull the trigger but I do have my doubts.

19 Sep 2025 12:48:40
To be fair to the owners they have invested significantly in the team. They are also running us as a business rather than as fans which will be a good thing in the long run.

Martin speaks well, problem is not press conferences, it's performances and lack thereof. I don't think he has the answers but can understand the owners strategy in trying to change the culture. I don't think it will work but I get it.

19 Sep 2025 13:00:58
Of course we should be worried but i'm not sure you can accuse them of indecision. They've gone with RM, which is a horrendous mistake, but they have decided to stick with him.
Not much indecision in that.

19 Sep 2025 13:05:49
No indecision, Stig. Decision has been made that he remains in charge for tomorrow.

Mistakes are made in life my friend and work is in full swing to rectify the error made.

19 Sep 2025 13:06:29
I simply can't listen to him now.

19 Sep 2025 13:20:20
Sting but then out, it will take them a little time to sort things out. Martin's appointment was a massive error, that's down to Thewell, Stewart and Steinsson. I believe they will rectify that very soon.

19 Sep 2025 13:32:32
I'm sure Donald Trump made some money in his life. Plenty of dafties have made millions.

19 Sep 2025 13:34:43
Think there's a lot of us concerned with this boy, stig.
Just no getting him at all.

19 Sep 2025 14:01:30
Smart people don't always succeed and successful people don't succeed in every venture. That they've been successful in the past is a good indicator, but we need to dispense with the idea that past business success removes the possibility of business failure in future.

Personally I think it's too early to decide on their business plan, as a standard business cycle is longer than a football cycle. But I also think it's fair to say they're grade is a D, at best, thus far:

1. Thelwell and Martin look to be terrible decisions.

2. Stewart remaining is questionable.

3. The transfer policy (going from younger global talent with an asset value to expensive English loans and jobbers from lower leagues in England seems questionable.

4. Football performance is abysmal.

5. Commercially, we're not really privy to any detail, so you hope that's progressing better.

These are just some of the early highlights. As a business, we don't know enough yet. As a sporting venture, an almost absolute failure thus far.

I'm actually at a loss of words at this point tbh.
MARTIN OUT!

19 Sep 2025 14:15:47
What happens after tomorrow like Asathor? yes he was a big mistake but it doesn't look to me if it's getting rectified, I'm believing he's getting backed even if he loses tomorrow. hopefully I'm very wrong, but he is a rather confident man if he's not getting backed from the men above.

19 Sep 2025 14:32:31
At this point, it cannot be just simply incompetence.

It must be the plan, for lack of a better word - sabotage.

19 Sep 2025 15:10:13
Martin loses against Hibs Tommorow my cash would still be on him being Rangers manager for the Genk game.

19 Sep 2025 15:36:56
Star it is the same being rectified claim which has been happening for the last few weeks since the Brugge game and so far he hasn't been rectified. perhaps the owners are so incompetent after all as football clubs rarely keep a failing manager in place for that long if they are going to sack him. they tend to do it and then look for the solution.

I suppose if you keep saying it will be rectified you will eventually be right ?.

19 Sep 2025 17:17:07
Correct Angus.

19 Sep 2025 17:21:56
Could the fact he comes across as confident not just be typically him? From day 1 he's had an arrogance a smirk about him he's in a no lose situation really if he stays he's paid if he goes he's paid he's got nothing to lose. i'd say pride but he went from Swansea to Southampton to us so his clubs are getting bigger too as he goes along.

19 Sep 2025 18:16:23
I think the owners are being given wrong advice from Stewart and thdlwell thst any new manager making as many changes would struggle. Why employ people to run the club and not take there advice?
