There's a very clear problem between nico raskin and russell martin we all know that and obviously now, still nowhere near resolved ?I just don't see this being resolved and raskin back in favour, unless martin is sacked before january, otherwise i feel raskin will be away ☹️It minds me like the clement and cantwell scenario, when we all knew it was only going to end one way ☹️.

Nobody knows the full story here and whilst we all would like Raskin back in the team, but the club is backing the manager on this one, and no player is bigger than the club.
Sounds like he might have been disciplined internally and that's the way to do it.

Raskin himself says he needs to work hard to get back in and to get the trust of teammates again so what happened seems to be more serious than we know.
Daily Record said clear the air talks were had and STV say not. however it was never going to happen where he just came straight back in and is forgiven for whatever it was he did or wasn't doing.
I will be different again here but if this is the start of getting rid of the player power which has dogged us reportedly in recent seasons then I would welcome that. we have been crying out for a strong no nonsense manager to do that; perhaps this is what Martin is and why he was chosen. his 'ego' means he isn't in it for popularity perhaps so can do that job. don't know just looking from a different perspective to try and see some sense.

4 draws in his first 4 league games and leaves our best player out for the Old Firm. Same player that last season absolutely bossed that mob.
Hate yo say it but anyone that supports Russell Martin is clearly not a Rangers fan, and wants our club to suffer.
Angus for one. so you are happy to have Martin with his ego and drawing games all season and putting in crap performances all season but as long as we don't have "player power".

As now it's reported he has bad attitude not adapting to the different role Martin wants him playing funny that isn't it?

So 2 previous managers have said there is issues with certain players yet RM is clearly the problem. I don't think RM is the answer but suggesting its "clearly" the problem is a bit strong. Does anyone on here know every fact. I do risk management and root cause analysis. You can't get to the source of the issue if you don't know all the facts. so anyone stating that someone or something is clearly the problem, unless they have done that same analysis isn't being truthful with themselves.

Star that is the issue: fans never wanted Martin; we didn't win every game so therefore we want rid. every story which is negative is believed.
it was never going to be the case that Raskin and Martin met and he would be straight back in squad. this is a player power struggle and the manager/ club need to win this. I don't know this for a fact but it seems so obvious to me. Raskin will come back in earn the trust of his teammates, play as instructed and we will play better. then we can all moan about how Martin's system doesn't work ?.

Stig I don't think there is the same unrest in the squad as you and just perhaps we may now start to see these players playing to their best levels. we have a lot of decent players as evidenced by their International performances and if they are now all pulling in the same direction and settled after the transfer window closed then I m hopeful as always.

Fork was that aimed at me as it isn't obvious. I have said before there will be blame on both sides but there will only be one winner if you take on the club; and Martin is in charge at the moment. If Martin is going against the owners plans then he won't last long but I think Martin is following and implementing this grand plan.
there is more to this than is obvious and the people who put both sides of this don't have a clue but it isn't stopping them. I am putting a different view to it (as I can see past the anti-Martin side of it) from reading what information is available out there. that is all and I have never claimed I am right just putting forward an opinion same as everyone else.

Ally; do you know the facts and if not should we get the Ed to remove all of your comments for the same reason. In fact no-one knows all the facts so just remove every comment from everyone. I think that would make the forum empty as every post is an opinion.
This discussion has little to do with results although those are the reason for all the anti-Martin comments.
Oh and I am absolutely ecstatic about being mid-table as it means we can't win the end of September league trophy. (btw that is sarcasm before someone thinks I am happy about where we are in the league) .
I also wasn't happy to be second for the last 4 seasons or only winning 1 in the last 13. I just happen to think that we need to do something different to change that. what is happening in the background at the moment may just be the start of that; the club that is and not Martin as a coach as I am still undecided about that.
