Can i just guage thoughts; am i alone in my thinking that Davie Martindale would make a fantastic number 2 to a more accomplished European type manager?
Davie works and has done for years, absolute wonders with a tiny club v much bigger clubs, he has also taken points from Scotland's biggest.
he is a bluenose, he understands the Scottish game and would£ instil what Rangers means as well as bring a not inconsiderable coaching and managing talent with a bit of passion too,

Athole people definitely deserve a second chance when they show true remorse.

I wanted us to get Davie in as manager ahead of Clemont but as per usual the board just ignored me. I would have him at Ibrox in a heartbeat. When he got the job at Livi he was doing everything from fixing toilets to signing players and has continued doing a great job with zero budget. We have players out on loan who get paid more than his yearly budget.

Spot on TT12? David Martindale would be a very good assistant manager/ assistant head coach to a new Rangers manager/ head coach ? What happened to turning your life around and recognising your mistakes and redeeming yourself ? Martindale now goes around doing talks about his admitted mistakes in his past, to help others not to do the mistakes he made ?ie. every saint has a past every sinner has a future ?.

Martindale doesn't get the respect he deserves, unbelievable job he has done at Livingston, plumbing, heating mans done it all as well and doing an excellent job of managing them, yes he made a mistake a rather big one but I'd love hearing from anyone that has never made many mistakes in their life.

Martindale hired a very good pr company (I wonder how he paid for that) and has people wrapped around his little finger, he has shown no real remorse other than in front of the cameras. He's a Ned who should not be allowed need Ibrox as a number two, an opposing manager or fan.
