So this isn't a post i was expecting to make - but just been told that there has been contact between Jose's people and our people and both are keen to explore the potential opportunity.
I'm a little stunned to be completely honest and have no idea what I think of it.

Pre-Martin I would have been worried about the impact Mourinho would have on us, but at this point I would take anyone over Martin. At least we know Mourinho can set a team up to defend and get a result. Even if just for a year to steady the ship would be better than the current situation. Long term would like to see a manager that will develop players from the academy. Mourinho isn't that guy, but might bring some stability in the short term.

In a positive way, Mourinho is the antithesis to what we have; he would set up with a clear, coherent defensive system. He would have a plan for what each team would do. He would not stick with one approach because of his unwavering belief that, despite all the evidence to the contrary, it would eventually work.
Our board will never give him enough money or the right players, but no board in the world will do that for him. He had that for a brief window under Abramovich and because of that we now have FFP to stop other clubs doing it.
He would target and deliver trophies, and has a track record of doing this. He would restore outside interest in Scottish football that owing to all our clubs efforts in Europe this season, is at an all time low.
He would be a real statement of intent from our board- even if they went for him but didn't get him. I think we would get two good years out of him and that he would be the best signing since Walter Smiths return.
All I can see is good things. I hope. I really hope.
