Just a quick question for EHL or indeed anyone with knowledge on the subject.
I notice that clubs seem to have a large 'cast' of coaches but there seems to be a 'core' of coaches around the Manager e. g Matt Gill, Sal Bibo, Williamson.
What's the difference between this core croup of coaches and the rest of the coaches at the club and how do their responsibilities/ authority differ
Cheers.

Sal is keeper coach the others are first team coaches with Gill being assistant manager if you like. they will have specific things they are responsible for and take drills they run in training etc. other coaches at the club I assume you mean guys around the first team fitness coach physio that will analyse and monitor players performance on that area. other coaches at the club look after development teams etc.

I'll probably miss some -
Strength and Conditioning Coaches: Plans and supervises the team's physical training, focusing on performance optimisation, injury prevention, and overall fitness.
special-ist Coaches: Goal Keeping, Set Piece, Defensive, Striking coaches etc.
Tactical Analysts: Studies the team and opponents using data and technology, providing insights for strategic decision-making in training and matches.
Performance Analysts: Breaks down match footage of both their own club and opponents, analyses performance and fitness levels, and shares insights with the coaching staff and players.
Sports Nutritionists: Designs personalised nutrition plans for players to optimise performance and recovery.
Sports Physicians: Oversees players' overall health, monitors physical condition, treats injuries, and advises on long-term health prevention.
Physiotherapists: Specialises in injury prevention and rehabilitation, helping players maintain optimal physical condition and recover from injuries.
Injury Rehabilitation special-ists: Designs specific programs for injured players to ensure they rejoin the team in the best possible condition after recovery.
Player Integration Officers: Supports induction for new players, mentoring, advising, and helping resolve issues impacting performance.
Equipment Managers: Manages and maintains all team equipment.
Martin and Gill are effectively responsible for coordinating all these areas.

EHL, if you don't mind which category do you fit into?

Scrambled - Player Integration.

What a fantastic role EHL.

Really Ehl, I had u down as an analyser if some sort mate.
24 Sep 2025 11:10:01
Stevie, I do have to do a little bit of analysis - but mainly on the specific players I'm working with at the time, but typically the actual analyst are kind enough to provide me with the output.
Walter, it's a great role and it's something that Hearts are really investing in - based on the Brighton model.

Great role EHL. Explains a bit more your feelings toward Martin if u seeing the impact of integration on players. Always good to learn more about the background goings on.

We all know EHL sounds like a great guy, but can we all start 'hating' on him?
As he is now a Jambo. ?
Only joking, mate. Sounds like you are thoroughly enjoying your role.
And who doesn't want to go to work with a smile on their face? ?
P. S. great insight into all the different roles at clubs these days.

Ehl has said before he doesn't even watch some games, if i remember rightly, still a great poster mind.

Kaiser, probably makes even more sense when you look at the players I worked closest with - Raskin being the first player I worked with at Rangers - during his recovery from long-term injury.
MPH - I did confess on the live chat on Sunday that I was watching the game in my full Hearts tracksuit.

Raskin seems a great wee guy.
Working class hero if u will.

What you get up to in the comfort of your own home is no concern of mine, EHL. ?.
24 Sep 2025 15:11:24
He's is Stevie.
Not sure if you've seen it, but their is a video of Raskin, Dio, Gassama and Antman revealing their FIFA Cards.
You can tell from it how close he is with some of the squad. It's also pretty funny as Gassama's stats are terrible, so he takes some stick.

Seen it EHL, Diomande seems a funny character as well mate.
24 Sep 2025 19:04:59
Saw the video EHL the four of them seem to get on really well. Dio picking up Glasgow accent.

Cheers Ehl ??
Not seen it bro but I'll give it a wee look right now thanks.
