Mccoist today was speaking about sean dyche who wished him a happy 63rd birthday today and how he rates him as a manager and it'll be only a matter of time before he's back in football as a manager again. Ally speaks about dyche's constant link with the Rangers job and how he thinks it would be a very good appointment, if he did become the Rangers manager ?It gets me on to a question i was asked today and i'll ask each and everyone on this site the same question ?If Rangers parted company with russell martin and it came down to one of these 2 manager's as his replacement as our new Rangers manager/ head coach, which one would you prefer and why ie. sean dyche or derek mcinnes ?.

If it's Sean Dyche I give up. Would be a horror show.

I don't think either fit our current model, so honestly can't see either as our head coach.

Boycott Boycott Boycott. Until he's gone.

Why would it be a horror show?

25 Sep 2025 09:09:00
Mcinnes all day long. I believe he would bring back a spine of players from our league straight away into the team. Knows the Club, League and most importantly the expectations.

25 Sep 2025 07:03:07
Couldnt be any more a horror show than what we have at present ?.

25 Sep 2025 07:26:28
I'd rather keep Martin than have Dyche.

25 Sep 2025 07:26:35
EHL, do you think steven gerrard fits our current model mate ?.

25 Sep 2025 08:06:06
Rangers Royal have you seen a Sean Dyche team?

He is a more one dimensional manager than Martin.

People want to be entertained one minute and then are entertaining the thought of him another.

25 Sep 2025 08:14:26
Would be a great appointment as long as we dropped this mental approach to possession football, that mindset is killing us regardless of the manager. What's worse is it's not even entertaining to watch, everything about it is s***e.

25 Sep 2025 08:57:22
Why would anyone listen to McCoist's views on who should manage any team? Hardly as if he was ever a sought after football manager in his own right is it! Mind you, he can always say he went unbeaten with a full time squad in a part-time league.

SWS, I'm not sure on Gerard to be honest - really not sure how he likes to operate as he's not really had a lot of time in management.

Personally I wouldn't like to see him back.

25 Sep 2025 12:04:54
Yes I have seen a Dyche team and as he has said many times, the jobs he gets, he gets for a reason, to try keep them in that division which means he has to play a certain style. He has said before that depending on the team and what is required he would adjust that style of play, more than what Martin can do.

25 Sep 2025 12:55:10
Sean Dyche over McInnes any day but reading a comment above, which players in Scotland would McInnes sign to bring back a Scottish spine?

25 Sep 2025 12:15:34
He would be better than Martin that's for sure.

25 Sep 2025 12:35:09
It's bad enough taking a wee lad from Spurs reserves straight into a Rangers first team, without allowing a guy who won very little, admitted someone else did the hard work, and then sneaked away after saying how happy he was an absolutely no for me.

EHL - if we WERE looking to appoint another manager who in your opinion meets the criteria and is currently available?
