Maybe it's just me, but after that presser by Martin, I'm not sure l was watching the same game yesterday.
At one point l turned over, then my luck missed the winning goal.
Watching it back it seemed to me his desperation at the end resulted in him throwing the kitchen sink at the end of that game. His reaction when we scored made me think was that a job saving goal?
I still believe we rode our luck second half and can understand how wee Davy felt hard done by.
Martins comments after the game were astonishingly poor in my humble opinion.
I just cannot see who would take this on with Thelwell and Stewart sitting in position.

Still think miovskj chance should have been pen just as he was pulling trigger defender pulled his shoulder and put him off balance . how can you see tav so called push against genk as a foul but not pull on a striker ahead of the defender and in act of shooting.

Better teams under better Managers have lost away to Killie. I'm just glad we got 3 points, how we got them at this stage I'm not that bothered. If we've got to win ugly until the board make a long term decision on Martin so be it.
He's probably right it's the best we've played this season in the 1st half at times but he doesn't accept that shows how bad we've really been.

All he's doing is trying to change the narrative but no one's falling for it.
The job is still appealing to so many. I genuinely believe there is a decent squad built, we're just not seeing this due to the robotic habits Martin is trying to create.
There is no freedom in the team for players to express themselves.

2nd half was ridiculous. Slow passing at the back. Were going further and further back until livi scored. Did not attack until 80 odd mins.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, he changed his tactics and got a winning goal but you are still having a go at him? I'm not defending Martin in any way, but this line of argument is absolutely bonkers!

DoTheBouncy - I think the frustration is that his approach he wishes to use doesn't work. 14 shots on target in 5 games is evidence of that. 1 goal from open play in 6 league games. A blind man and his dog can see it doesn't work. You can say he changed tactics but why doesn't he start the game in that way? Reactive instead of proactive.

True blue we should have been more goals up at half time, that's on tav for missing the pen and miovski for missing a sitter, the first half they played well.
Second half was awful he made changes and we got a goal in the end, he had two full backs playing centre half with one defensive midfielder on the park, two wingers two strikers and a number 10. you want him to start the game with that set up, a blind man and his dog can see that's ridiculous.
Should have been 3 goals up at half time, when other teams miss chances against us we are lucky but when we miss chances it's all the managers fault. The players have to take some responsibility as well.

I agree that we were poor in the second half and that Martin was talking crap again about how we played but can't agree that Livingston were unlucky not to take something from the game or should feel hard done by . Butland had two saves to make, one in either half. Miovski missed a sitter and had a header well saved, Tavernier had a penalty saved, Souttar had a close range effort saved and Barron had a good shot well saved. We should have been 3 up at half time, so, while we were not great, we were still better than them and deserved to win.

Tav - individuals aside, 2 strikers occupying 2 centre halves and therefore more men in the box. 2 wingers to give us width along with a creative midfielder in the middle of the park. 1 defensive midfielder should be all that's required in domestic games.
The defensive situation wasn't by choice. Cornelius and Meghoma had injuries, maybe you didn't notice.
Strangely, we looked better when all this happened - wonder if he will take note. Doubt it.

He had a centre half on the bench he could have put on instead of aarons but decided to go with a back 3 of meghoma tav and souttar instead did he not?
it's fine to play like that when your going for a goal and the other team are happy with a draw but you can't play like that from the first whistle.
