Looking again at our buisness this summer imho will set us back so much it's scary. Looking at the money spent almost 12m on chermitti and fernandez is criminal that's before you even look at the loans who are all struggling. How we ended up with a teenager as our only left back and i'm unconvinced tge front line is any better than what we had add in the fact dio and raskin have regressed then thelwell purdy and martin may very well have handed the title to Celtic for the next couple of seasons with the time it'll tske to sort this mess out. I don't buy into a new manager will make the players better although I do think gassama antman meghoma and miovsky will do ok along with Cameron.

OWS, the loans for me are the biggest issue because we get nothing back in return.
Also remember to note, that we are paying more in loans than we are for Chemiti!
Add into that, we will probably need to recruit 7 it team defenders next year! It's absolutely mental and for me personally, incompetent/ negligent.
To have such a busy window this summer was bad enough but to then do all that business and still need an even busier window next year is astonishing.

Zikos agree 100%.

The Fernandez and Chermiti deals give me the fear how much we ve paid for this pair. Fernandez loks a dud so far. The jurys still out with Chermiti . Everton are my 2nd team and are dreadful up front. An 8to 10m striker should be a starter with a proven record. Did Thelwell get a broon envelope. I hope not.

The auld brown envelopes ?.

I would love to know who the 6 players we were going to sign if we had kept koppen and not brought thelwell and martin in as I bet they would be better than what we have just now.

Strom, it's a difficult one to answer as you never know if players would sign or if there was officially any interest - however from what I could piece together the type of squad we were working towards would have looked something like this -
GK: Stubljar, Kelly, Munn
LB: Bradaric, Jefte, Fraser
LCB: Jelanic, Nsiala, Mackenzie
RCB: Souttar, Fernandes, (Kasa)
RB: Kasa, Mulligan, Hutton
LCM: Metinho, Bajrami, Curtis
CM: Targhalline, Barron, Rice
RCM: Raskin, Cameron, (Mulligan)
LW: Gassama, Cortes, (Fraser)
ST: Frigan, Mofokeng, Shankland
RW: Antman, Camara, (Cameron)
Obviously moves like Stubljar would have been dependent on moving Butland on etc etc.
Think there are links to all players out in the public - so easy enough to validate.

Storm, i think Shankland was one of them.
Certainly would have been a much cheaper option than the 8 million we paid Spurs.
I still think we've signed good players.
IMO, Martin is the big problem.

Was that Barry Fergusons squad?
A lot of names on there that I don't know so couldn't comment on but any squad that doesn't include our best keeper, Butland, but does include Bajrami who has been poor since day 1 and thinks that Hutton and Rice are anywhere near Rangers first team level doesn't look good to me. Cortes deserves a chance but neither he nor Fernandes had shown they could be relied on. Hard to believe we were ever interested in McKenzie .
Also, are you saying then that Antman and Gassama were identified as potential signings before Martin, Purdy and Thelwell.

Mark I would have took Shankland for coming on as a sub as I believe he is better than the 8 million pound kid. Miovski and shanks is 50/ 50 for me.
Cheers for that who i believe that squad would be better than what we have now obviously depending on if the boys signed.

Mofokeng, we've been watching him since he played for Sundowns and now at Orlando, thought we'd have went for him, Liverpool had a sniff also.

Wsl - that's the targets the recruitment team had been working on, focussing on homegrown, African and Balkan markets as those who's players were more suited to deal with the physical and mental demands of the SPFL.
It was also aimed at providing a balance between youth and experience whilst leaving a pathway for our own youth.
Personally, I think it would have been quite exciting.

EHL,
In your honest opinion
The list you have given would you say that's a stringer looking squad than we have ended up with?
I would have liked
Shankland
Mulligan
Frigan
Mofokeng
Jelanic
And the new keeper
Think wo would have had a much stronger squad
I cannot wait for Martin to leave
But will that change our transfer targets?
still can't see Martin leaving for a another few weeks
Remember 20 games ?.

That was meant to say EHL not who ?.
