Sky sports say Aris limassol have approached us for a loan of McCausland backing up johns post earlier.

21 Jul 2025 19:08:37
Only if obligation to buy. don't want him coming back to play for us.

21 Jul 2025 20:03:45
I really don't get the hate this kid gets from the fans. He's just turned 22 and had already played under 4 Rangers managers (if you include Davis) . I don't think he's really very given much of a chance to develop, and don't think many players have been great for us over that time, so i'd be happy to see him go out and get game time then come back to us.

21 Jul 2025 20:08:59
Apparently them and offers from America too from what I've read?

21 Jul 2025 20:19:18
Yo Jimbo I agree but wait as the next lot of posts will be about how those 4 managers were sacked so they were rubbish.
He did okay first season s he tried things but the season after he stopped trying those things. this is why the support for young lads is needed and not what is written here about him. Go out, get confidence and come back when he might be able to handle that pressure.

21 Jul 2025 20:21:09
Sorry Yo Jimbo respectly got to disagree, RMc has had every opurtunity to develop over the key years for a footballer under some very good coaches and some of the best faciclities. he's had experiance of the SPL and Europe and palyed plent of minutes. I don't see how much more he could develop. There is no hatred, imo, he just needs to move on and play at a another team so he can make some sort of career for himslef. Good luck to the lad.

21 Jul 2025 20:56:58
The boy simply not good enough but will have a career elsewhere.

21 Jul 2025 21:12:28
rusty bit harsh there ?.

21 Jul 2025 21:15:07
Young Ross showed more fight and effort in his short spell than Dowell ever has and he's being touted now for a run in the first team, on the right wing of all places. He has certainly scored more goals and had more assists The boy lost his way when Clement started telling him to cut inside and he lost his confidence to go past people wide and Ferguson exposing him last season as a right wing back hasn't helped him.
He will probably leave and not return but he at least can say he always put the effort in, unlike some.

21 Jul 2025 21:24:54
Rusty ye if there is no obligation to buy we will just keep him then to sit in the stands ?‍♂️.

21 Jul 2025 21:25:59
Angus, The boy isn't good enough plain and simple. Maybe you are happy with mediocre players but I certainly am not.

21 Jul 2025 21:39:46
Yo Jimbo. No hate, just a young player who managed to break thru but not quite good enough going forward. As it should be move him on and on to next young player.

21 Jul 2025 21:55:33
Spot on Angus.

21 Jul 2025 22:10:42
Storm i'm not happy but mediocrity is subjective ? but the young lad gets a hard time by so called fans same as all our players really.

However I can see you are an international football finance expert in that you want rid but only if we get an obligation to buy. If we don't then your expertise tells us that we should just keep paying his wages but make him sit in the stands. that makes sound economic sense for a mediocre player who surely no-one could possible other than the clubs who are supposedly interested that is. surely we should just get rid on whatever terms if he is mediocre.

Kaiser if any young player wants to come to a club with that attitude then I would be surprised. perhaps the reason why Miller doesn't want to come. why would they want to come to a team who discard their youth so readily without giving them as chance.

21 Jul 2025 22:28:47
Wslger 100% showed more than dowel.

21 Jul 2025 22:30:47
The treatment of a kid that loves us and doing his best is terrible sure might not be good enough yet or maybe never but he gives 100%.

21 Jul 2025 22:41:19
People love saying a homegrown player isn't good enough. Love it.

21 Jul 2025 22:42:24
We need to sell players can't just keep loaning them out and running down contracts.

21 Jul 2025 23:18:19
Angus , I was replying to rusty wanting the obligation to buy not me.

Not once did I say I was an expert on anything.

21 Jul 2025 23:42:46
McCausland time was up after the game up at Aberdeen, he could go on and have a good career in football and kick on but will have to leave to achieve that, best of luck too him.

21 Jul 2025 23:48:16
I don't hate him, I want him to go on and have a great career but he needs football every week. He's not better than Curtis so he to move on. For his own sake.

22 Jul 2025 00:35:17
Correct Rabbi he needs to move for him, hopefully he has a good career but right now he'll hardly kick a ball for Rangers.

22 Jul 2025 06:28:23
For the sake of ross mccausland he needs to move on from Rangers for the benefit of his career and hand on heart, i don't think he's good enough for us from what i've seen so far and imo we need much better for the position the young man plays, just being honest as i've absolutely nothing personal against the young man ?.

22 Jul 2025 10:07:14
SWS you are right but this is what developing players is about. they might not be good enough but we need to play them whilst developing them. until we get to that mindset then we won't sell many players for decent profits. we might luck out occasionally with an Igamane. what fans want to do is find a finished article and sell them for more in a few years. that isn't development though.

22 Jul 2025 10:10:30
The boy needs a move for his own career.

He is far from crap! To achieve what he has achieved already is something and to belittle that says more about the person acting like a class 'A' chump than it does a young lad starting out on his career. Who incidentally loves the club.

He's done what has been asked of him and scored some important goals and won penalties, more than some other players. But the chumps forget these things. because they're just angry depressed small minded individuals!

Rusty, take a look in the mirror.

22 Jul 2025 11:32:54
Thats the problem Angus, until we start putting games to bed early, young lads won't get the chance as no manager is going to jeopardise a win over playing inexperienced players.

hopefully this season we can get to half time ahead and then give the young lads some game time. if not i fear for the development of these lads.

22 Jul 2025 11:56:10
CoopersDad, so you are more or less saying that Ferguson killed the boys career by playing him at right back a position that he is definitely not suited to . He got exposed and made two daft tackles because of it. He's a winger and I didn't see the likes of Cerny and Cortes being put in that position, just two young boys sacrificed that day. One got away with it, the other didn't.

22 Jul 2025 14:50:25
Geesa using the Rooney example again. Everton gave him 10-20 minutes in every game whatever the result was at the time. they may not win every game (or many? ) but the pressure to win is still there. Rooney's goals scoring form at the time wasn't sparkling so they obviously had a plan to develop him. going on when we are cruising gives them some development but we take our foot off the pedal then so might not be as much. Put one in whatever and just give them game time. that is better than waiting for us to be 4-0 up IMO.

22 Jul 2025 15:15:48
yeah you could be right 4ever, worse display in Rangers jersey I've seen in many a year, not the only one that game we rested that many for euro game and never helped him either as he seem isolated, the boy could kick on when he leaves and has the work rate to help but single games can put the final nail in the coffin for some and that was his.
