Here's a question for one and all on here ?If as expected and big soapy signs a new deal to stay with Rangers i would think along with connor Barron, he'd be very much in the frame to eventually replace tav as the new Rangers captain ?So ED, could you please run a poll mate regarding who we think will be the eventual successor to james Tavernier, as the new Rangers captain ie.
jack Butland, nico Raskin, John Souttar or connor Barron or another ? Cheers ED and as usual very much appreciated pal ?.

Personally I wouldn't have Souttar as captain.
He's better without that additional responsibility and is naturally a very quiet and introvert player.
I suspect our new captain will be our new CB and the vice captain will be our new CDM.

SWS I don't think any of them merit it as none have shown the leadership we require. there was even a post on here today to say Raskin had played well because Tav hadn't and it handed him more responsibility. If that is what a player needs he isn't captain material.
we need leaders on the park to drag and bring new players through their early months at the club and show that the demands they will face can be overcome and they would be evidence of that. I hope our new number 6 is that leader to start with. don't know who he is but we need one.

Absolutely agree with you on this one Angus. We need leaders throughout the team. None of them have been leaders and the supposed leadership group has been a failure Souttar is a very poor communicator as is Butland who does command his area let alone lead. Raskin or Barron could maybe in the future but I hope, like EHL says it will be someone new.
