I think Salah has been close to the end for a few years now in terms of being a Liverpool player.
Slot has been an absolute disaster though.
I do think with the squad Liverpool have got that if there is any chance of Alonso then Liverpool need to grab it.

Not sure that you can call a league winning manager a disaster, certainly this season has been very poor but a disaster is a bit much in my opinion. Not sure they will go for Alonso though, unsure who it might be to be honest.
{Ed001's Note - he has been this season, not sure how you can't call him a disaster when he has been handed nigh on half a billion pounds worth of talent and has taken the team into the bottom half.}

Interesting reading that ed. It struck me that there were multiple similarities between Liverpool this season and Rangers when Martin was in charge, i. e the press, leaving gaps in behind, and players not running into space etc. So, given the obvious gulf in quality of players at Anfield and Ibrox, you would have to assume that the system/tactics are to blame.
Has Slot altered things that drastically from last season's title wiining squad or have the players downed tools?

Can't believe how bad it's gone. Thought all the players were good to come in. Defence should have been improved but the rest looked quality. The effect of Jota must have hit hard and the striker saga was a mess but thought would be far better than this.
Don't like Salahs attitude tho saying he doesn't have to work for the team based on his past, especially when clear some are struggling. He should be example to help others settle and continue success.

That statement from Salah is a disgrace especially the bit where he implies that he shouldn't have to fight for his place. I'm not a Liverpool fan but have watched a few games live this season and to be honest, Slot's mistake was that he should have dropped him two or three games before he did.
There are one or two others that also need binned like Konate and possibly even Van Dijk but they spent heavily on forwards and have been caught without enough cover at the back to allow them to do this. Missing out on Guehi so late in the window has hampered their season.

It seems that Alonso has real issues at Madrid. Their top players can't do what he wants and he is hindering their natural talent, apparently.

Reminds me of Lampard at Chelsea, was absolutely great when they had the transfer ban and as soon as they started adding loads of players it crumbled. Very much like Slot at Liverpool, came in and did great with what was there but all his signings this summer have made them worse somehow.

I said at the time, when the mega mega offer came in for Salah was. take it! At 32.bite their hand off. Then he has a mega moan and signs for outrageous money. Sell him while you can.
