i was neve4 sure of danillo when w3 signed him, and never convinced when he played so i'm nit exoecting much, but i really hope he's better than what he showed,

Far better chane ows, but then the team for sat could win with cutting out mistakes, they have cost us dearly v that lot. I think with what's at stake there will be more mistakes than usual, that will be our downfall imo.

Whatever Team PC puts out on Saturday has to believe they can win the game, no shirkirs, I know that most of us would have loved to have been good enough to play in this game, so no excuses, get right in about them this weekend.

Sorry to disappoint sadly there will be shirkirs, as long as there’s only one or two we might have a chance but on past performances it’s normally 6 or 7.
We should be inspired by dortmunds performance no one expected them to get through but they defended brilliantly and took their chance, so I’m not without some hope.

It's an interesting hypothetical question.
I've said on here many times that our aim going forward should be to increase the number of players in our strongest 11 who would make a combined 11. if we have 5 or 6 who would make that combined 11 then on days both teams play well we'd have as much chance of winning those games as they do.
So let's look at what you posted OWS, assuming it our current strongest 11, to see who would make that combined 11.
Butland v Hart: No Brainer here. Butland
Tav v Johnstone: Overall, Johnstone and as Tav continues to decline that gap is widening. May will disagree with this one, but IMO Johnstone is a better RB. He is capable going forward, contributing goal involvements AND he's a pretty good defender. Call me old fashioned but I don't want a RB that scores 20 per season and contributes to just as many against, especially in important games. I want a RB who stops the other team scoring 20 a season.
Goldson v Carter Vickers: As straightforward as GK, Carter Vickers
Souttar v Scales: Closer between the left CB's at each team. I'd call this one 50/ 50.
Taylor v Yilmaz/ Barasic: Taylor all day long. Yilmaz has shown flashes that he could be best of the combined bunch, but he can't string more than half a dozen games together.
Diomande v McGregor: McGregor has been the best player in Scotland for 5 years. As much as Diomande has promise, McGregor makes this team all day long.
Sterling v Hatate: Again, Hatate all day long. Sterling has promise too, but Hatate is better at this stage.
Cortes v Kuhn: Cortes certainly had promise, but again played less than a handful of games and where he did they were all on the left, his strength coming inside. Kuhn has been one of their better players. So objectively Kuhn takes this one for now, but Cortes has the potential.
Cantwell v O'Reilly: Again, a no brainer. O'Reilly is miles ahead of Cantwell in every department.
Sima v Maeda: Closer call, but Maeda has been excellent for 3 seasons now. Objectively you'd probably go with him but at least Sima is closer than others we've had (like Kent)
Danillo v Kyogo: Again, no brainer. Kyogo is miles better as a striker than anything we have. Arguably Danillo is no better than Dessers. When he was fit, he missed just as many chances.
So, a combined team of:
Butland
Johnstone, Carter Vickers, Souttar/ Scales, Taylor
McGregor, Hatate
Kuhn, O'Reilly, Maeda
Kyogo
Unfortunately for us there are players in their side it will be difficult to replace should they keep them. McGregor, Hatate, Kyogo, Maeda for example. O'Reilly I think will go in the summer so that helps there.
There are a few "easy targets": I think Sterling would give Johnstone a better challenge at RB for example, Scales should be bettered by any CB we bring in (if they keep him) and Taylor by a decent left back, in which Yilmaz if he stays fit could be one.
Midfield is difficult as, though we don't like to admit it, they have very good players in there.
Wide areas, where we need to be better anyway, there's potential to get better than Kuhn and Maeda. Striker is a position we need to prioritise IMO.
Good question OWS. That's my take on it. I'd like us next season to get from 1 entrant in the combined 11 to 5. In players like Diomande he's already got us closer and we'll never be able to take over them all (they couldn't go to market and replace McGregor either, for example) I think if PC can do that the results between the two will get closer.
At the moment, the recent history in the fixture IMO reflects the quality of the respective teams compared against each other. For years, including this season, we have had to watch players in this fixture who wouldn't even make their bench as second choice be our strongest 11.

Taylor/ ridvan is a toss up. Taylor more proven. Ridvan looks better player
Sterling in mf for me. Cover tavs runs and solves that problem.

Kyogo centre forward (Roofe is best striker in league but never fit)
Left for me would be Hatate
Right would be sima.
