Was in the box next to Danny (acquaintances in common) at the SGN at Ayr Racecourse a few weeks ago, and this would tie up with a few comments that were made from him and his company. Nothing directly stating it but a few teasers. Him, Matt Kennedy, Kyle Vassell and Corrie Ndaba were all also celebrating Aberdeens goals v Celtic in the cup semi which was on the same day.

If he's replace scott wright then fair enough, has consistantly created goals the last 2 seasons for killie, don't think he's the sort to take a man on out wide though, always looks to get a cross in though and is good with a set piece. Genuinly think we need 4 wide players as we currently on have Mcausland Wright and Matondo on the books for next season.

If we could get Armstrong and Shankland for 3-5m then for me it’s a no brainer. Both only got a year left so unless they sign a new deal in the summer Killie and Hearts will probably be looking to sell. Improves positions we need to improve and more importantly I’m confident they can do it domestically. 2 home grown players for the europa squad as well.

Definitely an upgrade on what we have at present. Next season we have to have an all-round better squad and this lad would be a good addition.

and we laugh at buying good Scottish players, maybe get this side sorted first, like winning things.

Tom then sign Scottish players like Lewis ferguson, Lennon miller etc ones that will have value after we buy them. We have wasted enough money on players that have no sell on value. The only time players like shankland or Armstrong should be signed if at all is on free transfers. Thankfully I think clement and Koepen know this.

Danny Armstrong was at Hamilton accies as a kid for 10 years then moved to wolves so i'd be surprised if he doesn't qualify as homegrown. That said i'm not convinced that he is a bluenose but that didn't stop Neil McCann.

I’m sure Armstrong doesn’t qualify for European squad, I know loads of fans who rate him as a future rangers player but I’m not one of them. Nothing to do with snobbery just my opinion.

We spent £5m on Danilo who contributed f all this season Shankland is a guarantee for goals 2m for him 1m for Armstrong hardly ridiculous values.

We get all this not good enough, we should be building squad to win league, Europe is only a side issue, yes it generates a lot of money, but to access this we need to win league first, players like Shanklin, armstrong would be good squad players, on far less money than we now pay so called better players at momment, Wright, Dessers, macauslin, montondo,

Armstrong would be a good signing.
Also Shankland, Watson, Barron, Lennon Miller would all be good additions and also make our opponents teams weaker.
Not buying a decent striker during January has potentially cost us the league.
No one can defender Dessers now.
Danilo done F all when he was playing.
McCausland seems to have fallen right off as well. Always cuts inside but doesn't have a left foot so no idea why he doesn't go to the by-line.
Dont rate Matondo. Has a good goal in him but takes about 30 tries.
Cortes looked a player but out injured (shocker) .

Any transfer is a risk, (just look at Siva and the £35m spent to prove that), however, spending £5m or anything like it on a player that is 30 years old and has only a year left on their contract doesn't exactly appear to be the most logical unless the player happens to be a top quality international with a track record of scoring goals in Europe at the top level.
Surely there are better players out there if we look at the correct markets when spending that sort of money. In terms of Scottish players, (and for that matter young British players), we need to start developing our own youngsters.
Too many of the players that are being highlighted that we should sign are at lower level Scottish Clubs which begs the question why have we not scouted them or worse still, why have we had them at Rangers and let them go! Hopefully things will be different under PC and his team than they have been historically.

Claudia caniga. brian laudrup. Billy dodds. Neil mccann. just a quick couple off thr top of my head then you look into all scottish teams and your obvoisly correct lol. we should have bought prime messi, ronalso, ronaldo, rohnaldinio lol.
