Quick question for all, has anyone experienced a better atmosphere than the semi against RB in the EL or is that No. 1. When i'm feeling it came on I felt as if someone had injected Ibrox into my veins.

I actually watched the highlights again last night.
Kent had his faults but when he was on his game he was amazing in the big euro nights. Kamara also.

That was an amazing night. The only other one that equals that for me was Parma. That was another unbelievable evening and atmosphere.

dynamo kiev parma many n the 60 and 70s, but the first old firm game after the bad news struck was special, as actually was the legends game v ac milan around that time when county came on and scored the winner
btw, i remover saying to my 2 old pals in the main stand that night that richard gough, would easily have seen rangers through the bottom couple of divisions, easily, he was the only one to play the full 90 v ac milan that night and was the total professional all game.

Dynamo Kiev 87, some others come to mind, Mo Johnstons winner in 89, champions league games with Advocaat teams, Parma, Bayern Munich was good, Man Utd defeat was a fabulous atmosphere.
on a different note some of the atmospheres in European grounds, although it was a defeat always remember the Nou camp.
Hard to say they were better than the Leipzig game as that was special.

Yes agreed folks had half my work round the house for Parma can't quite believe that was a quarter of a century ago, seem to remember drinking shots of blue aftershock, do people still drink that these days.

The 3-2 second half comeback against Braga, when we were 2-0 down at HT and could have easily been 5 was special too. Not quite RBL level though.
In terms of away games the last old firm away at the piggery before we went down to the League 2 was special for me. Sang our hearts out for 3hours and the result didn’t matter, a show of defiance and unity.

As others have stated Dynamo Kiev was some atmosphere, also some memorable Celtic matches, Aberdeen when we mon the title last match which was basically a cup final for the title with them.
For me though RB Leipzig because of all that had went on before with dropping to the bottom tier and in such a short period of time what an achievement which was very special.

R. B leipzig definitely for me. The fact we scored inside 20 mins helped but the full stadium sang for the full 90mins even after they scored the nerves didn't settle in.

I remember the juventus game even yet John ?i was only a young boy and was with my dad his pal and his son along with a few of my uncles ?We beat them 2-0 after losing the first leg 1-0? What a team juve had it was practically the full italian national team ?We then beat Eindhoven in the next round 3-2 on aggregate, after a 0-0 draw at ibrox and fell to cologne in the quarters, if my memory serves me correct, great European nights so they were ???.

People can only speak for games they've been to. For me, Parma 99 is best match I've witnessed for atmosphere. Winning on last day in 2003, and until Phil Neville scored at Ibrox against Man Utd were pretty good too.

Rb was the only game ever my 24 year old daughter watched and it was lovely sharing that experience with her a memory I. ll never forgot but iv never been able to watch the final it's too gutting even 2 years on.

Can't pick between leipzig/ Parma both unbelievable, kind of nights remind you why you fell in love with football.

John27, semi v Bayern was special over 85000 in the old place, and it was bouncing. stopping on the mate on the way home to listen to the penalty shoot out at parkhead made it some night.
Rangers and Celtic could go toe to toe with anyone back then.

The whole European run to Seville was what football is all about, watching city game at moment with so much talent on show and the place is like a cinema, they don’t know their living ??♂️.

The Leeds game at Ibrox was incredible as was Manchester and the 1973 Scottish Cup Final will always be special for me!

I was in the Centenery Stand, now Sandy Jardine when Gordon Smith scored the winner in a 2-1 victory over Juventus, that was some atmosphere that night.

Red bull by a mile, I was at Leeds and parma and they were great but don't come close to the noise after the semi final.
