Dado prso stats
I seen this on social media
19 goals and 4 assists in 43 games
12 goals and 9 assists in 39 games
4 goals and 3 assists in 36 games
35 goals and 16 assists in 118 games
If Prso was signed today he’d be chased out of the club with those stats 100% majority on here would say not good enough.
Dessers has 20 goals and 8 assists in 50 games
Added some comments in myself also. I ain’t even saying dessers is anywhere near as good as prso but prso was lauded by us all those stats bar one season are not for great reading.

Main difference is Dado played In a winning team. I don’t think Dessers would get half the hate if we were brilliant from the start of the season and won league titles. Not all his fault obviously but. Also different times, Dado played pre 2012 when things were normal, the Rangers support are desperate now since we got back.

Prso won big games and won trophies, that’s the difference. If Dessers had been the goal scorer in a couple old firms I guarantee no one would moan about the sitters. Football fans remember big moments, Dessers hasn’t had enough. Was why alfie was loved so much constantly won us games on his own and in Europe.

People can spin it any way they like but Dessers simply ain’t good enough and cannot be relied on next season. If Prso got given the chances Dessers got he’d have about 40 goals this season. Football has evolved massively in the last 20 years so the stats are pretty irrelevant.

Prso was not a penalty box striker. He normally drifted onto the wings.
But he was a much better footballer than Dessers. Without doubt.
I genuinely don’t think he would make Kilmarnock bench, and for those that think that’s ridiculous, both Vassell and Van Veen are better.

Prso didn't only score against dundee or livingston he scored against celtic, had over 30 caps for Croatia, had other parts to his game that were very good and was a great foil for novo, completely different level to dessers.

It's difficult to compare stats from different eras. Prso and others played in a partnership in teams that shared the goals around so might not have scored as many but was more effective. What would he have score if he was up on his own? Probably a better comparison if possible would be goals per chance created than per game. If Dessers hadn't been as wasteful we'd still be top and have better goal difference.
Though same canbe said if others shared goals around.

Prso overall game blows dessers and similar out the water though,
His work rate and energy and selflessness were all outstanding
He was also a top class player.

never truer in this instance, , prso was adored for his fighting spirit, his aggressive demeanour, his “ win at all costs attitude” his love of rangers
and he won everything, , massive difference, that makes these stats non binding, and not the full story, stats very often do not tell the truth,

How many players in their current positions would anybody be happy with next season, I'd keep a few but most could go. More pressing problems than Dessers throughout the team.

Dado prso was a warrior and some player but it shows how good mark hateley was for us because as good as prso was, in truth he wasn't anywhere near as good as big hateley, what a warrior he was and an absolute flying machine into the bargain, who was immense in the air, with a left peg like a wand ?Oh for a young mark hateley type striker now ?.

You are saying he played in a winning team but in 3 years at Rangers he won a league cup and a title.
Dessers ( for all his limited ability ) has already won a league cup.
Now Prso was a better player.
But we can't one minute say it's all about what your goals scored win Rangers and then decry Dessers contribution.
Prso also played in a Rangers side that had Klos, Ricksen, Novo ( who scored 25 goals the year we won the title ) , Arveladze, Barry Fergugson, Lovenkrands, Andrews, Boumsong who would all probably walk into the current side.
Even Steven Thompson scored double figures for us in that team!

I didn’t also I have always stated he shouldn’t be no1 striker going forward to next season. A lot of you which I knew would happen have just jumped on the fact I mentioned dessers and prso.

I have said he is better than anything we have available, going forward we need better.
Nearly every lames dessers and Lammers for our plight, yet many off the want Lammers back fgs
Imo our problem is not dessers but players who for various reasons have not been available, ie roofe, sima, Danilo, Cortes, how many games would dessers actually have got if roofe for example could get fit.
Thereafter we correctly talk about dessers poor conversation rate, add up the above plus matondo mcausland cantwell, all our midfield, goals scored and assists are abysmal across the whole team.
That’s b4 we talk about corners. Surely our coaches can work on this at both ends of the pitch.
