Good day guys
So listening to Clyde1 last night
They were basically saying Celtic having their main players in midfield all coming back
For the game on Saturday they basically have the best midfield in Scotland
Heard them say they think Rangers should be playing with Lundstrum diomande and sterling in midfield to help counteract them
What's everyone's thoughts on this Clyde 1 analysis?
we have been poor against them all season do we think this Saturday will be any different from the players we will have available?
If so why?

Tbh stig, I don't think we have enough players with the legs to chase them down or press in midfield,
Similarly we are not gifted with pace if we try to hit on the break.
I will be firmly behind the settee and hoping for a Walter miracle.

Lunny and Sterling should be playing to cover the fullbacks going forward, diomande is more of a 10 for me than a sitting mf.
I think we should be playing with 3 cm’s though against them 433 not 4231.

I think they are correct, Stig. We play 4-3-2-1 with Cantwell and Lawrence in front of those three, fight to win the midfield and try to get Lawrence and Cantwell joining in with Dessers. We don't have wingers just now with the required ability, so play without them, and give the other mob a problem to solve. Plus, we're not actually very successful when crossing the ball anyway.

I agree and think their midfield three are miles ahead of ours and crucially are much more balanced.
With Jack and injury doubt and Raskin out of form it's a real struggle to find a workable midfield 3.

I'm a great believer in games against them that whichever midfield comes out on top, inevitably wins. Unfortunately, since 55 when we had Davis, Aribo, kamara and Jack at their best, our midfield has been miles behind theirs. I don't see that changing, especially on their own turf.

I’d say that’s our best centre mids against them. No doubt sterling will be wide right but I’d play those three.

Sterling has to play in centre mid or we’ve no chance. Him and lunny for muscle and running and dio just slightly ahead to carry ball and pass and link up, maybe not as high as a 10 but 2 6’s and an 8.

They do have the better midfield when everyone is fit and it’s not close.

Stirling in midfield would be a bonus, he’s stronger, faster than the Celtic midfield and can sniff out trouble, a fit Sima would of helped him having more chance of playing there and also gave us more strength and speed further up park, big decisions for Clemont can’t see him changing formation at best tweaking it.

I'm not buying this. Old Firm games can go either way and it is generally down to the team that wants it more. We have also seen this season and many of us will be able to go back to our own playing days, irrespective of the level. On the day it will come down to who is willing to battle the hardest, who is willing to go for and win the 40:60 ball and who is up for the battle.
In terms of goal scoring we will need to take our chances when they come, no dilly-dallying on the ball. On paper we should be well beaten, let's go out there and prove everyone wrong and give them a thrashing. We beat them in this game and they will crumble.

I am not overly confident but the defeatism on here is incredible.
All the games this year have been close, expect Saturday to be the same.

A think you all are giving Celtic to much credit, you would think we are going to Anfield, yeah we are short with injuries but turn up and take our chances we have a good chance of winning, we don’t have to be Man City.
