Why all this talk about Taylor at Killie, he couldn't lace Barisic's boots, the man was pure class last night and a full Croatia Internationalist, for goodness sake folks trust our Manager.

30 Aug 2019 23:29:25
Nae better than Declan John. Would always be seen as our weak link if he signed for us. Let the dims with their panic buying spent 3 mill on him.

30 Aug 2019 23:31:01
6 foot 1 Croatian international athlete with a world class left foot V a 5 foot 7 Kilmarnock left back that's had a couple of good games. I may eat my word in a few yeas but right now that's the facts.

31 Aug 2019 09:53:19
Ivger. pure class? He looked like he was about to have a panic attack every time he got the ball. Whilst he may have ability, he lacks the heart to play for us. Give me Flannigan or Halliday over him every day of the week.

31 Aug 2019 09:32:07
Agree lads about Barisc. Someone said in a post last night that he’s a nervous reck and treats the ball like a hot tottie?
Have to agree with this and after a year you would have thought he would have settled down. I do believe if the boss had a descent offer for him he would have let him go!

31 Aug 2019 12:12:58
Barasic may not be everyones choice but when i see people say that halliday is a better LB, i give up.
Halliday is no better than a squad filler for a couple of positions.

31 Aug 2019 12:20:10
Halliday is a better left back. But I hate seeing people give up. So don’t give up.

31 Aug 2019 13:27:53
Glasowgooner, halliday over barisic 🤣🤣🤣 just about choked on my lunch there. He tries but halliday is a cheerleader, good to have about the place but if we want to win leagues he's nowhere near the standard we need.

30 Aug 2019 21:14:18
Doiger, Without being personal, i'm intrigued in what you think might be wrong with unfurling a pope John Paul Banner during the game. Also the alleged trouble with Celtic fans was outside the ground and therefore not within UEFA jurisdiction. I still believe there is a deep misunderstanding in what is right and wrong within the grounds of a football ground. I moved away from the Glasgow area in 1990, 29 years ago, and came across lots of walks of life during my time in the armed forces. I realised my initial experience of life was naive and ill informed. I hope that people who are still in the Glasgow bubble may reflect and strive to look outwards. i'm honest with myself and add if I had not been forced to move away then I would probably still be shouting ya ca^&**ic Bas*&d. Its easy for me to say. Perhaps we need a bigger enemy to rage against. Why not just constantly sing against Aberdeen FC or the SFA regardless of who we are playing, nout wrong with that. Weve got to be more cute these days.

30 Aug 2019 22:04:40
don’t Uefa frown on banners or songs of any religious / political nature at games within their remit?

I can’t really see how a banner of the Pope can be anything other than religious?

whilst i personally do not have an issue with anyone’s religious beliefs, and a flag of the Pope is also not particularly offensive to me, but in the context of a European tie, Uefa feel its place is not at a football ground

that’s their whole point, and I tend to agree.

30 Aug 2019 22:49:25
Trev. That's a valid point. I don't know the ins and outs of Ueafs rules. Just of the top of my head though I think the planet would be onto a looser if we started banning pics of people unless its Charles Manson, Hitler etc. Would have thought wede be okay if we had unfurled a pic of the arch bishop of Canterbury for some random reason. If they'd unfurled Gandhi would we have have the same question. Prob Not. So I suppose that's the answer to your OP. ATB.

30 Aug 2019 23:10:47
TJBB - a lot of the Glasgow bubble moved East in the 60s and 70's if you think the problem lies just within Glasgow you are deluded, just like those who think it's only the UB who sing the hate songs at the Big Hoose.

30 Aug 2019 23:43:40
Bar, I agree. We are all pissing in the wind when guessing on the cause of the problem with only anecdotal evidence to back up our suspicions. I can only speak of my own experience. Its a world wide problem not just C against P. However we have a burden as British and Rangers FC to take the lead and fix the problem as best we can.

31 Aug 2019 00:11:26
TJBB, you ask Doiger what he thinks might be wrong unfurling a banner of PJPII during a football match? Its a football match, who did PJPII "play with" or "manage"? Its obvious to all this was a feeble attempt at winding up the Rangers support but to no avail.
I'm hearing that Legia have made a statement that they have surveillance to suggest it wasn't the Legia Warsaw Fans that brought in the banner or pyrotechnics, it was a celtic supporter who played for Bournemouth he seemingly smuggled them in under his baseball cap.

That's some street outside the ground where the trouble was, looked like a football ground to me? Maybe the television crew were hacked and the footage was photoshopped.

No one likes us we should care. and still we follow on.

31 Aug 2019 08:37:34
A lot of the trouble happened inside the ground but the pictures I've seen it looked more a case of over zealous, shall we say, policing than fighting.

31 Aug 2019 13:21:27
TJBB. I'd object to any religious or political banner being flown at a football match. The fact that it was at Ibrox and that everyone (unless they've lived on Mars for the last 100 years) would know how inflammatory such an action would be makes it a blatant attempt to incite.

I was brought up as a Church of Scotland protestant but since adulthood have not practised or been interested in religion, nor have I ever cared what religion Rangers players might be. I sang all the songs when I was young including the Sash and Derry's Walls but then I grew up and have been married to a Catholic for the last 40 years! I love Rangers dearly and want them to get back to the top again but this religious sectarian nonsense must stop.

I just wish UEFA and the SFA would treat all teams the same. If Rangers fans unfurled a banner of the Queen or John Knox at Celtic Park would anything be done? Probably! Focus on tomorrow now and I think it will be 3-1 the Bears.

30 Aug 2019 20:39:33
Did anyone else notice it was Katic that won the ball in the final third and passed to JJ who then produced a cross so exquisite it should have been rated 18. Morelos new last week where he had to be in the 91st minute during that game and the rest is history. Still feel even though he got a few shots off, Ojo is a man short. He was the only week link in the team. Now i'm prepared to take criticism on this, Arfield. His touch was really poor last night in tight situations and lost control nearly every time. I think I posted last year at the same time during the euros that he has the footballing brain but not the technical ability to match. However he went on to show he can produce particularly in the last league games of last season. So what i'm saying is he has the ability and brain but would be great if he could be more consistent though. That aside he is a good player and a true Ranger. i'm splitting hairs here but when you get to this point its the width of a ball hair that counts. don't see Brown a prob on Sunday, Forest is my concern.
Mac
Tav Gold Kat Born (Flan)
Jack
Arfield Davis Aribo Jones
Morelos.

30 Aug 2019 21:30:00
Agree with everything you said. Arfield still doesn’t look 100% to me for some reason. Maybe still trying to play catch up from being away with Canada. Katic and Jack would be the first two names on the team sheet for me. I would agree with your team selection as well. BB had a mild concussion apparently so he might be a doubt. Shame because you can see his confidence starting to build.

30 Aug 2019 21:55:22
you are splitting hairs. arfield is our most creative player. Did he have a poor game on Thursday, yes. let's give ojo arun in the first team before writing him off?

30 Aug 2019 22:02:06
Agreed too. Arfield is needing dropped but I don't know who could play there. Aribo was surprisingly quiet last night too. Jack and Katic are different players now. El Bullelos movement for the goal was fantastic. We MUST start JJ on sunday.

30 Aug 2019 22:47:03
Jones must start for me ahead of Ojo, that’s a no brainer imo.

Jack started well last night but I don’t think he has his best game, same as Arfield, however good players that have an off night still produce a win, it’s a great mentality in our team just now and we’ll only get better.

Looking forward to Sunday.

30 Aug 2019 23:14:14
Blue89 - I've said before on here I think Arfield is close to being burnt out. He never got a break in the summer and the style we play he has got to be on it 100% for 90 mins.

30 Aug 2019 23:23:16
14 appearances. that's a good run.

31 Aug 2019 05:58:12
Has he played 14 games? He's scored 4 goals this season so far, with a handful of assists, not that bad? Seems he's doing enough for Gerrard but what does he know?

31 Aug 2019 10:11:49
We have not played 14 games never mind Arfield.

31 Aug 2019 09:28:34
Could it be Arfield -who has been responsible for much of Morelos' effectiveness is not a 90 minute player because of the type of player he is?
Maybe he is good for 60-70 minutes of his high energy performance but 90 is just too much to ask.
Would take a good 60 than a so-so 90.

31 Aug 2019 10:51:23
John 12 games not including friendlies. 8 qualifiers, 3 league games and east Fife in the cup. Think we played 3 friendlies. Arfield has played 14 games if you include his internationals over pre season.

31 Aug 2019 13:24:07
6 European games, 3 league games and Marseilles, Oxford, Blackburn, TNS, Derby. 14 Games. As far Gerrard playing him and trust the manager and all that, I agree but this is a banter forum for us to express our opinions and have a bit of fun.

Loan players may have to play to fulfil there terms and conditions, Worrall and Lassana, need I say anymore. I've not been too hard on Ojo, he is improving and its a big ask to step come into Rangers and get of to a flyer so fingers crossed he keep going in the right direction bears.

30 Aug 2019 20:12:04
A post below suggests that its the tune to the billy boys that's offensive irrespective of the words. well its definitely being sung in the dundee derby. What action will be taken about that i wonder.

30 Aug 2019 21:29:42
Ar9 no action as it is not a europa tie.
There can be no punishment for singing it in Scotland games.

30 Aug 2019 23:14:54
Sung at Kipmarnock as well.

31 Aug 2019 08:25:17
Can a tune be offensive without lyrics?

31 Aug 2019 09:31:27
and several grounds in England
MUFC sung it in 70's and 80's
"we are the Busby boys"

31 Aug 2019 13:46:04
Don't think a tune can make a song sectarian, only the words. If we sing super rangers but changed it to we hate Aberdeen sheep persons, does that mean it's still sectarian. don't buy it?

30 Aug 2019 20:07:08
Booked for feyenoord stayin in amsterdam 3 nights. Can see there being thousands camped in amsterdam for 3 nights same as us. Should be great few days.

30 Aug 2019 19:11:02
Where's @kaney? And his bold statement that 'Morelos won't score 30 goals again' before changing it to be ' he doesn't score important goals'!
I make that 10 ( and we're still in August ) and probably more than Celtics 3 strikers combined!
And he just scored the goal that got us into the EL groups👍.

30 Aug 2019 21:30:57
8 goals in 8 European games. But no he’s sh@te 😂.

30 Aug 2019 16:48:09
hi
Well the Gerrard effect is still rolling, next team up to face it, is Celtic.
They are running scared of us on Sunday, and I think the Gerrard effect will continue.

Rangers 4 Celtic 0 but on a bad day 2-1

we are the people.

30 Aug 2019 20:42:33
Please please please be a nice pumping on Sunday, we're due it, no chance can we slip up first this early.

30 Aug 2019 16:21:37
Our latest sanction by Eufa not a surprise but can it be turned into blessing? We know where problem is and where UB sit. Can't we be more strategic and situate fan loss within UB and hit them where worst. Sorry if stupid suggestion.

30 Aug 2019 16:58:48
Yeah you’re right it is stupid! The UB are not to blame for the sanctions. we have had the same problem for decades long before the UB came on the scene nobody makes thousands of people sing songs it’s a personal choice. And if it wasn’t for the UB Ibrox would be like a library.

30 Aug 2019 17:50:22
were you there last night, didn't sound like a library. if UB aren't the problem then let them be the answer. in their own words all songs start with them so let them start all the non banned songs and we will be ok.

30 Aug 2019 17:54:22
Agreed 36thUD, Union Bears can be massive part of the turnaround here if they evolve and take the lead, Rangers songs only from now on and as a goodwill gesture I would close a different section of the stadium for the next match!

31 Aug 2019 09:12:55
Yeah I was there and the first half especially was like a library!

31 Aug 2019 16:42:58
The UB or not there is no need for the songs. It's time to wake up and start acting with some class. No one has a God given right to sing what they want and damage the club, no one is bigger than the club. Yet because they create a great atmosphere some of the UB think they above the rest. Use some intelligence and sing different songs without hatred and keep the amazing atmosphere going it's really simple.

This is really making me sick. If you think there is nothing wrong with singing the words then I am sorry but you are not needed you're just a ned looking for aggro. Making noise about nothing, crying because they sing about the IRA and nothing happens. GROW UP!

30 Aug 2019 15:11:26
Hey the swagman, its nothing to do with what pot we were in, it has to do with Liega Warsaw's name being in the pot, and not ours. This was done before the game was played. And yes irvger, it was on the official website.

30 Aug 2019 16:34:21
No idea what you’re talking about here mate?

30 Aug 2019 20:11:07
That is true.

30 Aug 2019 14:59:49
See another 3000 seats to be closed off! Has anyone heard of this happening to other teams in Europe? Racism is rife on the continent, but are the fans behind those teams getting punished?

It really feels the stronger we are getting, the more folk out there really want us kept at bay and want to see our club fail. Honestly, I want to see other teams getting the same treatment we get. so far I've not heard or seen any, which is then victimisation of our club from people at the top of Uefa, which is shocking.

Group that we have been drawn in looks a tough group, but I reckon we aim to get 10-12 points we will get into knockout stage. 10 points minimum I think we could be there And I definitely think we can do it.

One game at a time I know, but the belief is there in this team, we are no pushovers anymore guys last night proved it. Flares going off, play getting stopped. Opposing players trying to intimidate our players, it never worked and we knocked them out.

Need to go back a long way for a Rangers team to have came through all that and kept our cool and discipline and get the result when it mattered most.

Whatever happens, let's enjoy the ride and more importantly at this moment in time now Is get the next 3 points in the bag on Sunday. 3-1 I reckon might start off a little nervy from both sides, but I reckon we will settle quickly, take control of the ball and have most of the possession on Sunday and chances created I definitely think 3-1, being kind giving them 1 😜.

30 Aug 2019 17:03:10
In response to your first point Stig, yes plenty of other teams have had similar and worse punishments from uefa for politically incorrect chants or singing (uefa do not differentiate between them, they label them all under the same banner) . All you have to do is one quick google search of uefa punishments or stadium closures to see this.

Partizan Belgrade and a Serbian team (can’t remember the name) have already had their whole stadiums shut for 2 games just this year for their fans continual breaking of their rules. So yes others have been targeted in similar and worse ways. There is no conspiracy, it has nothing to do with Lawell or anything else that’s been said by some folk. It’s simply the process that uefa take for breaking their rules and others are in fact further down the route of punishment than we are. But if we don’t continue to behave as we did last night we too will end up with stadium closure or worse.

30 Aug 2019 19:30:16
Well that’s good to know Ger78 knowing we’re not the only ones
Maybe seems that way to me because it’s our club and all over the Scottish media and seeing in those news outlets

Let’s hope the fans behind the chanting can see where it’s going to get us and stopping it is best for the club as a whole
And we can move forward and more importantly into the future not having to worry about this and concentrate on having full stadium so we can all get behind the team

Looking forward to Sunday?

30 Aug 2019 22:12:24
Agreed stig, it is easy to feel it’s just us when it’s all over the Scottish media but we can’t start going down the paranoid route that the Celtic fans use to do, we have to be better than that. We can’t just start thinking it’s only us and feeling hard done to as then we won’t focus on actually fixing the problem which is the most important thing. And yes hopefully we can finally start moving past all of this and just focus on the football.
As for Sunday, yes looking forward to it, first time in a long time we’re genuinely confident!

30 Aug 2019 14:57:00
Here is our group for Europa Cup. Porto, Young Boys, Feyenoord.

30 Aug 2019 14:53:29
Get it round you artur boruc 🤣🤣🤣 wonder how Eddie Howe will view his antics last night I'm sure he got permission to attend the game but I'd be raging with one of our players going to another game and acting like that.

30 Aug 2019 15:25:03
apparently he didnt.

30 Aug 2019 15:32:03
From what’s being reported he didn’t have permission.

30 Aug 2019 14:53:07
Special mention for fredo, the difference in this guy is unreal. What a player. 👍.

30 Aug 2019 16:26:55
I actually thought he was good only in spells last night coldo. His second touch was a tackle most times and he kept giving the ball away. Don't get me wrong I do love the guy. He brings plenty to the table and the goal was a beauty but I've seen him play much better. Jack was awesome once again though 👍.

30 Aug 2019 18:12:10
I agree Alfie had an off night, but to his credit kept plugging and got the winner. Probably a nervous performance all round but got the result, now onwards and upwards.

30 Aug 2019 18:36:53
I agree seeker he wasn't at his best, I meant overall regarding morelos. He doesn't get involved in silly spats. He doesn't sulk. I just think his overall game is night and day compared to his game last season. Jack was class👍.

30 Aug 2019 17:54:55
yah i thought Morelos had a tough game and wasnt in it much though he didn't stop running and perseverance paid off. and yah i do love this guy. what i did like was his temperament seems to have changed for the better, plenty of knocks but straight back up.

30 Aug 2019 14:52:02
Katic is the best CB we have without any doubt. Jack davis class. How anyone thinks ojo is better than kent is beyond belief, ojo was a passenger again👍.

30 Aug 2019 15:19:18
100% agree coldo brings nothing to the table for me much better with jones also arfield on the right is ruining him imo, katic last night was a warrior big prso wouldve been proud.

30 Aug 2019 18:26:21
Well as soon as I saw Ojo play I posted on here his nickname Ohno and many said I was talking nonsense, but as an ex player who played football for 50 years I know a player when I see one. Kent for me, and if we don't sign him now after qualifying for the group stages I will eat my hat.

30 Aug 2019 19:23:29
What team you play for Muppet? Your post comes across as very condescending, you think because you once kicked a ball for cash means your opinion holds more weight, don't get me wrong it's Kent for me all day but ojos had a better start to his gers career than kent the stats will show that, everychance ojo will improve just like Kent. Duncan shearer was my manager at inverness ct un18s I beat him everyweek at the keepy up contest so I know a player when i see one and I see jj as No more than a impact player or squad player, you agree?

30 Aug 2019 21:00:06
Ojo played through the pain barrier last night, give him credit as he didn't train all week. Didn't think he was terrible was just outshone by others. Definitely not writing him off as o think he has done reasonably well. Started better than kent did last year.

30 Aug 2019 21:11:37
50 years a player, eh? Are you really Roger Milla?

30 Aug 2019 21:48:39
Ojo has started better than Kent di, stats and performance wise. It took Kent till well into September nearly October before he came onto s game. Give ojo a chance.

30 Aug 2019 14:49:29
Yup, good performance and great result.

Keep the head for Sunday - 50/ 50 game for me but I won't be calling for SG to be sacked if we lose.

On our way.

30 Aug 2019 14:41:52
Yes there shouldn't be sectarian singing chants, But we're not the only club and it's shocking we're getting picked on again. Honestly, our club must be truly hated and they won't stop til the club is no more honestly I truly believe that.

What can a club do if rival fans bought tickets and started these songs. you can't police every supporter that Walks in the gates you just can't. And that's where there going to get us. Never beloved it before but certainly do now.

Too many folk don't want us to win the league or be able to operate like a normal club
Not sure what the board can do against this. Games behind closed doors, No ticket money?

See if it took for that to happen to get through the season and do well in Europe and win the decking league to throw it in all these folks faces I would certainly go along with it.

It's absolutely sickening now realising how many folk actually want to see our great club then to ashes and I'm not even exaggerating it's becoming to much I'm surprised the board haven't lost the plot. imagine this was happening in your daily job day in day out you would lose the plot guaranteed and that's what they want

Guys what's the outcome?

30 Aug 2019 16:36:11
Rival fans? Give us a break. Unless 50,000 rival fans somehow sneak in. If for some reason a handful were to come in and start singing songs to get us in trouble, far fetched as that is, the responsibility is on the other 50,000 Rangers fans to shut them up.

30 Aug 2019 17:08:45
Hate this "picked on" mentality. Starting to sound like Tims. But after listening to crap singing for 50 years. No one can say we're not bringing it on ourselves. Not saying replace with hymns but it shouldn't be brain surgery.

30 Aug 2019 17:38:05
Does anyone know an answer to this question? we have refused our allocation of tickets for first away game if fans are determined to travel get tickets then misbehave surely the club cannot then be held responsible for that?
It would be an absolute outrage if we were punished on those terms.

30 Aug 2019 14:36:40
Given club and real fans initiatives to stamp out crap singing/ behaviour I find it hard to believe this has not been noticed further afield in Europe. The lowly behaviour has to be seen to be coming from minority. Still think seeing proper fans jeering this may turn tide.

30 Aug 2019 14:13:37
Anyone see the BBC Scotland report last night?
Is it me or are they getting worse with their religious / football / anti Rangers / pro Celtic bias?

30 Aug 2019 14:07:30
I see we have another part closer again surely this time all FAN'S involved should be given other seats. Time to clean up our act and move on. W. A. T. P.

30 Aug 2019 16:21:33
How can you give them other seats? . In place of who?

30 Aug 2019 16:37:05
If you can’t sit in your own seat and behave you’re not getting mine.

30 Aug 2019 21:51:47
How can you give them all seats when were 3000 seats down?

30 Aug 2019 13:50:12
Great result last night! How good was it to Stevie G's reaction at the final whistle? Hard work on his and his and all his team's part to get to this point. On to Sunday, let our football be the talking point after and let's not give any reason for our great support to be critisised. We know what the issues are and we will fix them together Club and fans!
The tide is turning and we deserve a good positive season. No-one needs a to remind us how hard it's been since 2012, but we're on our way!
Seize the day! And enjoy Sunday
#LetsGo.

30 Aug 2019 13:38:35
Well 2 years on the trot for the 4 qualifiers first team too do so aswell, well done to Steve g and the back room staff for bringing the belief back to Ibrox as well as our players, the gaffers passion after the final whistle last night was something special! Consistency seems to be creeping in this year grinding out results while the manky mob think there performances mean the league is over, they will hit there bad spell on Sunday and hopefully continues for a while there after got a genuine belief we can be going into the new year old firm unbeating what an achievement that would be. last of all it's down to us fans now to not bring bad press too our club we've had no control over the events in the last decade, the sectarianism is down too each person that has sung offensive chats myself included now we need to step up for our club!

30 Aug 2019 13:27:15
It could of been worse wolves group looks difficult I'm pleased our group is kinda tough that's what being in Europe is all about getting glamour ties and tricky teams.

30 Aug 2019 13:07:48
BBC reporting we've been hit with yet another charge and that's another 3000 seats to be empty for next home game, yet others are stating this is a lot of rubbish. Anyone any idea?

30 Aug 2019 13:44:34
The new ban relates to the second charge which was known about and expected with to be hinest worst punishment expected.

The third charge claim came from the fevered mind of an independent journalist doing a made up piece for the daily record this has now been found to be entirely incorrect with reports said journalist now fired.

30 Aug 2019 12:57:07
great result last night in many ways--our stadium may be getting negative press etc but not too many teams will want to come to this coliseum with gladiators who can perform--- (metaphor) ---what an atmosphere last night thanks in kind to the polish fans who created that smoke filled atmosphere that has put us on the map. ignore the negativity --ibrox is a warriors stadium that very few teams will want to visit--my haven't times changed--2-1 sunday.

30 Aug 2019 14:43:59
sparticus?

30 Aug 2019 12:52:40
Great europa draw, here's praying no stadium closures.

30 Aug 2019 12:56:02
agree good draw. Another 3000 seat section to close in next game at ibrox. could've been worse.

30 Aug 2019 13:04:39
already got another for next game. maybe more to come as well.

30 Aug 2019 14:08:39
thats lies Struth, report made up!

30 Aug 2019 12:49:23
Good draw i reckon wouldn't say any team to fear.

30 Aug 2019 12:48:45
Not a group to be taken lightly, going to be tough but don't see why we can't do it.

30 Aug 2019 12:42:43

30 Aug 2019 12:42:31
Ouch. that's 1 tuff group.

30 Aug 2019 11:45:20
BBC slated us in the winning of the game. DR even came out with a blatant lie that we were getting a third charge from FARE. amazingly that post has been taken down but am sure a screen shot will appear soon.

30 Aug 2019 12:25:16
3000 seats to be closed at a game for the legia away singing. How many times can we be hit with things?

30 Aug 2019 12:59:27
Until it all stops Snell. Next up will be a stadium closure.

30 Aug 2019 11:32:01
Brilliant result against a tactically astute and stubborn team last night.
How good was Katic?
Onwards to Sunday where we won’t face a team that will be set up as good as last night but are certainly scoring a few goals.
But that’s the difference - I have more faith in our defence than theirs. I have more faith in our midfield than theirs. And I have more faith in our strikers.
And more importantly:-
In Gerrard We Trust!
Let’s Go!

30 Aug 2019 13:41:59
Both ryan jack and nikola katic were absolutely immense last night!

30 Aug 2019 11:23:02
How did the European coefficient work? I see Wolves are higher than us in pot 3 is it a national coefficient? if not can't see how we are in pot 4 and them pot 3
See we've got third uefa sanction coming looks like either shut Stadium or massive reduction in capacity will this ever end!

30 Aug 2019 11:34:09
There will probably be a 4th as well as the morons started straight in on Derry’s Walls in the first couple of minute of the game last night.

30 Aug 2019 11:37:32
At this point it’s costing the club money and potentially even the funds to strengthen the squad. Yet some will insist they are still singing it as it’s “not sectarian” or “heritage and tradition. ”

Not true fans of the club if you care more about your daft songbook.

30 Aug 2019 11:39:37
we are 3rd worst team in europa league. :D.

30 Aug 2019 11:49:51
Total lies. No 3rd sanction coming. Made up journalism. According to 4 lads had a dream twitter.

30 Aug 2019 12:54:56
There’s a statement from UEFA.

30 Aug 2019 13:16:59
See record have apologised for inaccurate reporting came from a freelance suppose it's a start.

30 Aug 2019 10:40:06
I'll probably get slated for this.

Does anyone feel like I do that although we are off to a good start we need to be scoring a lot more goals in case it ever goes down to the wire on goal difference wi the mankies.

Unlike us they seem to be able to break down park the bus defences so far.

30 Aug 2019 11:28:33
They haven't played us!

30 Aug 2019 11:39:19
Could be wrong bluebilly but sceltic usually go mad at the start of the season then get pumped by a far lesser team midway. The unfortunate thing is when they falter we don't take advantage, we throw a match the same day . One can wish though.

30 Aug 2019 11:54:18
Billy, as much agree with your sentiment, been following gers forty years and league never gone to goal difference so worry very low.

30 Aug 2019 12:34:34
millerbrand what about helicopter sunday?

30 Aug 2019 13:00:27
It’s actually been down to Goals a few times mate.

30 Aug 2019 10:32:04
Hard fought result last night but a brilliant one.

Back to the sectarian singing by our fans, yes it has to be stamped out but this waveing the Irish flag and hanging efigies of Rangers fans etc etc which go unpunished must also be stamped out as this is one reason our moron fans are easily provoked.

30 Aug 2019 11:42:03
Too true it is tit for tat effort has to be made for a newer songbook. But Rangers will be forever hounded even if we sang hymns.

30 Aug 2019 14:16:04
Where I agree ALL punishments should be equal and they are currently not.

Let's just forget about that mob and police our own club the way we want the world to see us.

It's time to grow up. It's time to act with class. it's time to get rid of the morons who seem to think they are bigger than the club. Why do they think they are bigger than the club? Because they go to the games, they think and feel entitled to sing about hatred. ENOUGH!

30 Aug 2019 10:17:16
What would you all like to see. The group of death with all the big guns or an easier group with a good chance to go through?

30 Aug 2019 11:49:14
group of death. Nothing better.

30 Aug 2019 12:20:06
Have been thinking about this since we won last night and I am genuinely torn. The money and excitement of big games is keeping me hooked, imagine a shock against a Man U or Arsenal🇬🇧🇬🇧.

30 Aug 2019 09:06:47
I wait with bated breath to see our UEFA punishment for letting the poles in our stadium with flares and setting them off! 😂
Not going over old ground songs etc are wrong, but what action is likely to cause most damage in uefa eyes, chants or live pyrotechnics in a confined area? I ask only as it's interesting to see how uefa deal with that scenario
Finally kudos to our fans not biting at the massive Pope banner.

30 Aug 2019 11:40:09
Just saw this morning it was the pope. I thought it looked like Cliff Barnes. As a massive fan of his, I thought it a wonderful tribute.

30 Aug 2019 08:53:17
As good as Ojo has been, who do you all think we should start with on Sunday? I'd personally start with JJ, he'd run at their defence all day.

30 Aug 2019 11:33:08
JJ. Kamara in for Aribo. Flanno in for Barisic.

30 Aug 2019 08:49:05
Hope that fud Bowyer is watching this Aribo to Brentford better for him to develop aye right.

30 Aug 2019 08:48:33
That result last night took me back a right few years. It felt massive, the lads have grown from last season. When the 'real' pressure has been on ( not after league is won ) we have stood up and got the desired result.

Players are growing, attitudes are changing for us and the enemies.

It's most definitely on!

30 Aug 2019 08:14:42
Couldn't sleep a wink after getting home and that was intense! Great result and so proud of the guys and Mr Gerrard! What a team he has assembled🇬🇧.

30 Aug 2019 07:38:22
I thought that Aribo was a bit off the pace last night, I just hope all the hype about him has not had an affect on the boy, or he is keeping himself good for Sunday.

30 Aug 2019 11:44:10
Still showed touches with lightning feet.

30 Aug 2019 07:32:23
I hope we get Manchester United or Arsenal in our group that will be fun 😃😝.

30 Aug 2019 11:28:29
Agree Ger667, we haven't played gooners or Man U in serious match for long time and great benchmark on own improvement.

30 Aug 2019 06:57:35
Great result. Atmosphere in last 20 mins brilliant - not seen the Broomloan stand up to watch a game before. Never heard such a loud away support and the Union Bears have their work cut out to get to that level - synchronised pyros and stripping. Great night even though we were below par.
