To be fair Kent was running them ragged, especially in the first half. When he really hits his stride he will be unstoppable. Some of his movement was pure class. Big shoutout to the midfielders. Thought they were class last night, and still pinch myself when I realise we picked up Glen Kamara for 50k! I remember thinking wee Holt was a steal for 65k or whatever but Kamara is different gravy altogether. Some of his positioning and movement was top drawer. I think clubs will be knocking on our door for him very soon. He has proved he can operate outwith Scottish football with ease.

We're in Pot 3. Celtic in Pot 1. I don't understand how that works to be honest. We've been great in Europe the last few seasons so I don't understand how we aren't ranked higher. It just shows you that Uefa have it set up to protect the Champions League drop outs. Their route to qualification after getting put out of a competition shouldn't be made easier.

It goes on coefficient rankings. We are currently 83rd which is up from 94th last year and we weren't even in the top 200 the year before that so although we have done amazing in Europe the last 3 years, the 7 years before that where we weren't in Europe for 6 of them and then the dreaded progres tie hurt us badly. Whereas the other side of the city have been consistently in the top 50 for the last 5 years.
The positive to take is we have jumped up at least 117 places in 2 years, keep going and it won't be long until we are in the top pots for the Europa League.

For the avoidance of doubt I know there is not a conspiracy. When I say "their" in my previous post I am referring to all the teams that drop out of the champions league at the qualifying stage and not just Celtic. Uefa want to protect the so called big teams that slip up and don't make it through and give them another chance of remaining in European competition. that's all i'm saying. i'm not meaning they have it set up for Celtic for gods sake. that's ridiculous. Its not the best format of a competition when Champions League drop outs are coming in at all different stages and then getting different "paths".

My view is that teams (including Celtic or not) who drop out of the Champions League because they got beat shouldn't be shown any favours when they do drop into the Europa League. The co-efficient ratings don't justify Celtic being in pot 1.

Oh surprise surprise, sweep and blue would do with the negative comments, would never of imagined that would be the case (really starting to think the two of them are secret Timothys) . Listen, this situation is of course hitting everyone hard financially, but that includes our club as well. We all bang on about us needing to win the league and wanting of course to get into the group stages after tonight. Well to put together a team capable of doing these things costs money, and because of what’s going on we are going to be short of that this year, like all clubs. So we have to find ways of making as much revenue as possible in other ways. If everything was normal tonight would be a 50 thousand sell out at around £40 a ticket. That’s about 2million in revenue lost even before match day spend is taken into account. So why shouldn’t the club try to make some of that back. I understand what is being said about season tickets and maybe not getting to games but that’s not the clubs fault. We can’t have it both ways folks, wanting new players and wanting the best team possible but complaining when it comes to being asked to pay to watch a game in order to help fund those things.

The boy done nothing wrong! He was used as a pawn by Stubbs and Lawwell in a stupid game of one upmanship that left the boy looking like the bad one. We could have offered 5m for him and they would have still knocked us back.
