Personally, I'm glad if that's true. He's got plenty of experience of setting up his teams to be hard to beat and fight relegation, so I don't think he'd be a good fit for us imho.

Really glad it is not going to be Dyche, I would not fancy his style of football for the long term. I also don't think he is particularly fond of our football club, our history and heritage. I am sure he is on record stating he was not too keen on us. Best all round if he is not a candidate.

RFC18720, you are entitled to your opinion and I'd agree that Gerrard's record in the cups was poor. However, it's ludicrous to moan about the 55th title win only happening because Celtic were in turmoil. We had an undefeated league campaign and they can only beat the teams they come up against. Do any of Walter's titles have asterisks against them because Celtic were in turmoil? 1993-94 perhaps when Celtic almost went bankrupt and finished 4th? Does that count?
