Have to agree with Boyd and SS on here the appt of Koppen smacks of laziness and cheap as the guys done nothing to suggest he's deserving of a bigger role at the club and I worry yet again we are choosing someone under qualified and it. ll set up back more especially if you look at the signings he's brought in since joining last year I hope I'm wrong because we can't afford another decisions that will set us back.

I would agree however are the performances Koppens fault or PCs fault?
Silva - overall poor but was played out of position
Diomande - was good when he first came in and now doesn’t seem to have a defined role
Cortes - looked promising then injured
Nsiala - B team
Kelly - sensible backup
Jefte - good so far
Barron - good so far
Igamane - too early to say but needs to start playing
Propper - very poor
Kasanwirjo - great but now injured
Cerny - inconsistent but overall good return of goals
Bajrami - looked great and is now out of position as well
Looking at that I don’t think Koppen has been poor, I think the “style and system” of play along with injuries isn’t helping these players.
We’ve got potential sell on value in
Barron, Jefte, Igamane, Nsiala, Cortes and Dio IF they start performing but that come down to the coaching in my opinion.

Good points Blue.
I would add that while that do have sell on value - they ain’t Bassey. o’Reilly’s or Kuhn’s. Tay can easily sell 20-30mill of players per season and turn a good profit. While we make a 17 mill loss. That’s a 50 mill a year difference.
I would agree that the appointment is a bit lame but we can’t afford anything else - and PC should be shouldering most of the blame for the season so far….
20 Nov 2024 07:55:32
Good point 89 and i would tend to believe that Clement is at fault here and how he manages to play so many people out of their natural positions does not help anyone.
20 Nov 2024 08:54:06
It's more than "a bit lame", Ayebrox, it's an absolute omni shambles! Just another desperate move, by our desperate board, who are so detached from reality, it's actually scary. Clueless! Rudderless! Desperate! Woeful! I could go on.
Instead of this nobody, who we have basically given a free reign to, spouting about bringing in "legends", the fans would much rather see coaches who can actually do their job be brought on board.
This "legends" single fish is nothing more than a desperate ploy to curry flavour with the fans. And do you know what? There's actually some who are falling for it!
20 Nov 2024 08:58:06
Good points Blue, agree with most of what you're saying.
20 Nov 2024 09:49:07
I agree onewalter this is as bad as giving pc a contract extension. Looks like we are stuck with these guys for the foreseeable future. Which I think but I hope I’m wrong will set us back even further. So much for a billionaire take over.
20 Nov 2024 09:55:00
Agree Sunshine. We should be focusing on turning current players into Legends. Not bringing back legends.
20 Nov 2024 10:39:27
i tell you what if you didn't suffer from depression before you certainly do after reading the doom and gloom merchants on here.
the players that are played out of position are doing so because we don't have a fit player to play in that position or is that not obvious to many.
if we have one failure out of all the players we brought in well i tell you that is a pretty good result. i think someone previously said that if you hit 60% success on transfers you are doing well.
anyway away to take my meds.
20 Nov 2024 10:48:45
Think it's a sensible move by the boards and another that shows they are committed to the long term plan and vision.
I expect it will rile up an element of the fans, but again it's good to see the board are reacting to fan pressure.
20 Nov 2024 11:12:46
Ehl anything Rangers do riles up many Rangers fans and the majority of the time it is not even called for.
Correct again geesadodothat, once we have wingers available Bajrami will be our number ten, actually very impressed with the creativity he possess, Sterling played rw because we had no others available that is the only reason, this playing players out of position is another myth from some Rangers fans.
20 Nov 2024 11:26:23
Agree guys, it's all about square pegs for me and that's why I think Clement is not the man for the job. Players like Diomande and Bajrami are definitely good enough in my eyes, but they are being played in the wrong positions. Especially Diomande who doesn't seem to know if he's coming or going. Actually feel sorry for the boy.
20 Nov 2024 11:47:35
"Reacting"?! That's the problem with this shambles of a board, they just react without thinking. There is a massive difference from being reactive to being proactive, and unfortunately for us, this board are reactive. So much so, that it will most likely result in failure.
The apathy around our club is horrendous. You talk about "depression" geesa?! OK, I'll bite! What is there to be positive about?
The malaise that has set in among a number of our fans, who appear to back failure after failure, gives me the boak! The board could appoint Homer Simpson in some capacity, and still, some fans on here would back them.
We are now a shell of a club. At least during the dark days of the lower leagues the fans had a f u attitude and we gave our all, and the support was solid. Now? That spirit is long gone due to how we are being run.
20 Nov 2024 12:06:31
We all recognise that we are not in the middle of a good time. We haven’t got the Financial resources to buy our way out of trouble . This applies equally to our recruitment, manager and playing pool . Like it or not with probably a few exceptions, we have to make do with what we have . Just because a player hasn’t yet performed to the standards we want, we cannot send him up the road and buy in replacement. We are not in the 1990’s when we had an endless supply of money on tap.
We have to adjust Koppens area of responsibility to try to get more out of him, it’s cheaper in long run than sacking him and recruiting another who coming from the same pool as Koppens may not be better .
Clement came here with good reputation. It’s safe to say to date especially this season, he has failed to live up to reputation. Unless someone like Belgium take him off our hands, we are stuck with him . Maybe if we got him a match day coach or some other assistant, we might turn round results, cheaper option than packing him off.
20 Nov 2024 12:43:50
Agree that this is another sign of the incompetence of the running of our club.
I want Koppen to be completely focused on the recruitment process because it's so important to the future success of the club. Adding all these other responsibilities to his job is clueless. He is also under qualified for this job.
Added to this, why oh why is anything like this done before a new CEO is appointed. And where is this CEO, WHERE!
Those in charge have had enough time to fill this role multiple times over.
Instead they somehow mess up the one good thing they have in place, talking about the role as NK is yet to prove himself in that role.
The more I think about this the more frustrated I become.
20 Nov 2024 12:47:16
Mystar we get riled up constantly cause the club is a shambles from top to bottom. Get your head out of the sand and have a look at how bad things are at the moment. We stumble from one disaster to another.
20 Nov 2024 12:56:41
We should listen to Boyd is there is one thing he is an expert in its laziness.
20 Nov 2024 13:31:36
to me its simple, do i like the product on the field, no, am i happy we are behind celtic no, do we have a balance in the bank like them no, can we buy our way to success no.
i am realistic though, how can you accept we have to reduce the wage bill and then expect us to buy same caliber of player that we let go. we have to hope we can get a rough cut diamond and shape him into a star, so while accepting that i can't then demand the team need to hit the ground running.
i am not happy but am realistic. we can't buy 6M plus players and pay them 30K plus per week without increasing our revenue. Yes chicken and egg situation but its the facts. as soon as you realise that the the sooner we can understand the what's and whys and move on.
20 Nov 2024 13:43:46
Wishybear my head is clearly out the sand mate but I will support my club, Clement needs more time and many know this.
20 Nov 2024 14:05:07
He would get more time if he stopped picking players who constantly let us down and started picking players with the hunger and energy to get us out the mess we are in.
20 Nov 2024 14:05:42
I will still support us to il still be at the games and il support from the stands, doesn’t mean I won’t criticise things that are clearly not good enough.
20 Nov 2024 14:14:49
Many know this? Who’s the many because the majority knows he should be gone.
20 Nov 2024 14:32:16
Everyone agrees it's not good enough wishy only time required.
20 Nov 2024 15:03:51
Not many on here Storm, but many very knowledgeable men on the game knows that he needs more time, Rangers fans are something else now and would like him sacked but if he wins the lc wait and see the change in thinking if that happens.
20 Nov 2024 16:05:32
?????
We're obviously all thick on here then?! You are priceless! ?????.
20 Nov 2024 16:29:57
Sunshine, certainly wouldn't say thick mate maybe just clueless on the game but not thick?.
20 Nov 2024 17:01:43
My Star, I honestly don't think Clement has done enough to be given more time.
20 Nov 2024 17:23:27
Mark, I know your opinion mate but I just feel he just needs a little longer, if the performances don't step up massively in the next few months i will be feeling the same as you but not just now, but I believe were on the right road, it has to be remembered about the massive drop in wages and really positive about a good few of Koppen signing but players only signed in the summer need more time as well, Bajrami really stands out for me just can't wait until he's our ten.
