Due to work I seen a good bit of the game.
Here's my thoughts.
Great save from Greegs for the pen. Thought the back four were fantastic. Goldsen was immense, Katic bar from the pen is all heart and I was delighted for the boy. Great header for the second goal. He has to keep his place in that team. Barasic for me is going to be world class. What a turnaround in that boy! Even Tav was brilliant today.
Midfield. I'm glad he started with Davis. What a pro he is. Couldn't see much with Jack but did notice he gave silly passes away. Kamara keeps the ball well and is very intelligent but lacks a bit of physicality. He gets that and he will be a player.
Forwards. What I seem from Kent today he was fantastic. Great goal. When he's on it he's unplayable. Aribo did well. The boy is getting better. Morelos bullied their defence today. He is trying too hard to score though imo. Why the Fk does he take a dive at the end, knowing he's on a yellow? Crazy man!
Celtics goal should have been chopped off! No complaints for their penalty but Aribo gets his Jersey pulled in the box. Wheres the consistency? They should also had a man sent off for bringing Morelos down.
Morelos needs to start screwing the head with these gestures. he's only going to miss more games. Same with Kent. Its not needed. Everyone is against us and it just gives them ammunition. I love Alfie to bits but he's going to keep getting suspended.
Anyway a fantastic win and 3 points. Great team performance.

Fanstastic team performance today. Still buzzin. Jack was off the boil 2day but been arguably our best player this season along with morelos. Like it matters. dancer. The was crazy amount of away fixtures we have just came through. a lot of people were expecting us to slip up this month. Definately need to keep playing that way. Play the rest of the season like we have the whole of december. Bar 2nd half aberdeen. And leagues ours.

Morelos was brilliant today, bullied their centre halves and his first booking was a joke. Clancy popped a semi as soon as Morelos went near Brown. Celtic should have finished with 8 men. despite the Jeremy hunt of a referee we still won. makes it all the sweeter.10 men v -12, still pumped.

Just reading on our sister site. They are saying not to worry get the cheque book out. Unless you are going to spend 150 million and sign top level proven international players in their prime that strategy is limited in SCO we have already shown we can already compete home and away with high level expensive Euro opposition as have YOU Celtic (Lazio) so don't see the logic. You need a mix of players that know what it takes to play for the old firm in Scotland.

While we should be reading how good we were today it seems the tabloids seem more interested in Morelos and his crazy antics, which I can't condone! Yes Jullien should have walked yes it was ridiculously late in the game 96 min but the last time I saw a player dive when he could have shot was sadiq against the sheep and that bothered me too! Alfredo then struts off making death threats?
What you doing son, you played well but come on when is the penny going to drop? When you next play Alfredo you probably won't get the penalties, fouls you deserve as your reputation will go before you! Didnt manage to get a ticket for today and was night shift all weekend. Recorded it switched off my phone and watched it when I got up. Another top class away performance, our game management away from home is excellent. Got to say, I've accused the big man of looking a bit shaky this season but big goldson was immense today along with borna! Every player played there part tho.

Agreed. Watching Stevie G today and the last few weeks there's something special about him- every comment is considered and he shows an intense determination whilst being measured. Lennon by example judging by the minor fracas on the sideline is too quick to get involved in an argument regardless of its merits. It must be a joy to play under Stevie G as he commands respect he's firm yet articulate and he seems to learn from his mistakes.

I though Morelos played really well some of his touches and link up play were great, but its his stupid stuff that let's him down like Brown booking and diving for penalty at the end that let him down. if he can only get a goal against Celtic. He should have been subbed near the end because with refs look to make a name for themselves.

Brilliant performance from the lads today well deseved win for them long overdue.
I think this permance today just goes to show that the cup final performance was not just a one of performance and this should prove the doubters wrong that's twice we have dominated them now and both games we should have won.
Alot of the press after the game are not talking about how good we played or the result.
There more botherd with trying to get ryan kent and morelos banned for future games its a discrace the way they go on if that was 2 celtic players or any other club we would hear nothing of it in the press.

Craig- correct, we were the better team again with no thanks to the officials again. Every Rangers player gave 100% today. Young Aribo, Katic and Kent were magnificent today. Goldson seems to play better beside Katic. Barasic is class. McGregor never let's us down. Morelos is a work horse. We can and will only get better under Gerrard. Things are positive, 55 is coming.

Our full team were superb against that lot today, but i thought borna barisic and steven davis were exceptional! Barisic is now without question the best left back in scotland and one of the best in britain. We may struggle to hold onto borna, never mind all the hype about keeping hold of morelos and jack!
Borna had forrest in his back pocket all throughout the game and was still brilliant getting forward and of course his 2 assists for our 2 goals! An outstanding performance from the croatian again. What a player he's proving now and man of the match today!

I will be the first and admit I though Celtic would win today. However perhaps i'm like the rest and underestimating how good collectively we are with a few top players as the cherry on the cake. Our system, work rate and mentality are getting us through games where on paper we might not be favorites. Well done Rangers.
BTY they should have has 3 reds, Bolongolo for pulling back our player when he's on a yellow, Chrisite for grabbing Morelos balls when he's on a yellow and Julian for bring down Morelos. Some might say it doesn't matter but we now loose Alf for the next game where they keep all there players. Ref shocking as usual however 10 tim refs wouldn't have stopped Kent and Katic without 2 straight jackets and a sniper with a tranquilizer rifle.

When Celtic were running over teams the ref’s didn’t to need to worry about being inthe spotlight. Now with the legend pointing out their mistakes and rangers asking serious serious questions it’s starting to implode. Lawell’s power is being questioned by more in the game and will diminish.

Played against 12 men today. 6.30 min of injury time just enough time to send alfie off. Unreal
Yes we won but something needs tobe said and done about these referees big decisions hand ball never a goal pen given correctly however ajer pulls Alfie shirt and Aribo ref never seen both incidents but seen theirs. Jullian last man should have been off. 4 min injury time Alfie sent off 4.30.
Going forward another striker needed for cover and a right winger and poss a right back and left back as cover for Tav and BB.

The managers reaction at the final whistle was immense. I love SG and he will prove to be as big a signing as Graeme Souness was in the 80's.
Ok they got a goal that shouldn't have stood, we got a goal from a corner that should have been a goal kick. That's evened itself up. Maybe our luck is turning. We still pumped them.
Katic, McGregor, Morelos and Davis all outstanding today. I don't care about Morelos goal scoring record, he was outstanding. He ran there centre halves ragged. He did dive for his sending off but he got sent off 40 seconds after 4 mins of injury time had been played. Where did the extra time on top of injury time comeback from?
Anyway, who care? We are the better team, we have the better players, we will win the 55.

How many times are we going to be on the end of missed refereeing calls? Let me be clear, I think it's a difficult one for the ref to spotlight so I might not complaining about him I'm just saying that it is unbelievable how often this is happening. I'm not an advocate of VAR but I'm not starting to change my mind.
We've played ok first half without creating too many clear cut chances. Big Arizona is absolute class but him and Kent need to get more involved. Ryan Jack is having a very poor game by comparison to the standard he has set. his tackle which lead to there goal was terrible. He tries to keep the play alive by back heeling the slide tackle to try and control where's it goes. Just clear it and deal with it.
We can still do this and I think Alfie will score. It's coming. Although he's being too greedy and could have played in team mates a couple of times.

I’d keep Doc though. I think there is a player on there, going forward I think him and McCrorie could be good together.
The GK department needs overhauling, Wes, Alnwick and Forth will all go, the other McCrorie will probably step up to 1st team but we still need another back up.
