Just some of the comments from yesterday's game after a 'DRAW" to our biggest rivals, who we haven't beaten in a meaningful game in nearly 2 years. I said in a post further down wasn't expecting the team to be slaughtered as pc was left-hand a mess, so to be in this position he's done excellent. We had a massive opportunity to put them to the sword and failed, again. So to come on and see comments like these is mind boggling. Can't believe some are happy we won a half of football are we physiologically inferior to them? We needed that win yesterday we all know it. If we as fans accept mediocre that's what we will get. Gutted with result and performance.

Every OF is meaningful so don’t get this not won one in 2 years crap. Yes we dropped 2 points but surely you’re clever enough to know what people are meaning? We were rotten. Absolute dire. To get out a game with the league in our hands after that performance is what the fans are trying to say. Go to their dump looking for a point rather than a win is the relief after the performance. Fitter better first 11 and new day, the league is ours if we want it.

Here’s a question. In November did you ever think that we’d have a chance to win the league or a game in hand to go top? Nobody did. The fact we have the chance is massive. They will drop more points. The fact that we haven’t beaten them and we could still be top of the league shows that.

I’m with you blue boy, we’re back to accepting average and second best. Really poor team selection, game plan, performance from a number of senior players. Not good enough even if we did scrape a draw.

Our last meaningful victory over them in the league was August 21, so 4 months off being 3 years. Just for clarity, that's a "meaningful" league game that actually meant something and not a victory over them when they had already wrapped the league up, and we had won sod all.

Boy blue 3 why can you not get it that posters were just glad they didn't get the 3 points after we were so bad in the first half.
It's always the same on here every time there's a negative result that certain posters come straight on and attack anybody that's not tearing into our own players.
I've also read all of the comments and feel free to criticise the players for their first half no show but let's give them some credit for turning it round, not once but twice. The comments about PC getting things badly wrong with his team selection makes me laugh.
Scott Wright getting it big time. He did not cause us to be behind after 21 seconds and he did not give away a stupid penalty.
Players were picked to start due to the fitness levels of those who came on and turned it around.

Boy blue, don’t go with the flow and rubbish other posters because they are positive.
I haven’t seen anyone on here that was HAPPY with the performance or the result BUT I’m sure that I am not the only one who was happy that we got 1 point and did not give them 3.
Also very happy to be top of the league (assuming we beat Dundee A I’m confident) and on for the treble.
Don’t forget that many fans gave threw in the towel in September, October and November as well as Sunday.

Sollof19 I can 100% confirm that the 3-0 at Ibrox was extremely meaningful to me.
Of course we all wanted and hoped for the win yesterday, if someone offers me the draw at half time and a chance to go top again Wednesday I’d have bit their hand off for that.
Much improved performance in the second half.

Why slate others opinions on a game that looked like we'd lose by 3 or 4.but clawed back to get a point?
As for the 'terrible line up and game plan' have you seen what PC has to work with? Sima is returning from injury so he was always going to give us half an hour or 45 mins at the end. The squad's been decimated with injuries. The players just never showed up the first half.

I don’t go along with the players never turned up first half excuse.
We have now played them twice this season at Ibrox with fifty thousand fans roaring them on we’ve taken two points out of six, the performances under two different managers have been abysmal, we stole a point with a marvellous finish. This group of players have a mentality issue against Celtic, Goldson Tavernier Lundstram simply bottle it that can be the only conclusion after watching the same movie umpteen times. I said to my mate before kick off let’s not gift them any goals, 21 seconds our captain has a panic attack because Maeda is chasing him down. I really hope we win the league but I’m not sure this team has the cahonas to go to Parkhead and win sadly.

Jfm why can't you get that I'm just gutted we didn't get 3 points? We rarely ever get 3 points against them. Are you referring to me tearing into the players? If so refer me to even 1 post were I've ripped into our players. As rtr points out not 1 meaningful game in nearly 3 years, yet comments like the ones above. We are being conditioned into accepting failure versus that lot. They beat us so often that we're starting to celebrate draws at our own patch. Pathetic.

Very good post DK19?I totally echo your words mate ? From where we were at half time, i'd have bitten your hand off if someone then said we'd get a point ?It keeps the destiny of the league title very much in our hands, whereas if we'd lost it would have been mighty difficult for us to have went on to win the league, so after coming out of ibrox on sunday there, i'm very much taking the positives ???.

The black and white of it is that we should never have found ourselves in that position where we feel like a draw is a "win". At the risk of sounding pedantic, a draw is a draw, and a win is a win, and celebrating a draw at home when we had the chance to go back to the top of the league, is just pathetic.
Instead of celebrating failure our players should have been apologising for crapping their pants, again, when playing that mob in a meaningful league game. But, as usual, they look totally oblivious to the fact!
Just incase any of the happy clappers aren't aware, that's 3 league games against them this season, 2 defeats, 1 draw, and 1 point out of 9 picked up. How is that good enough? Is that the sign of league champions?

I've not seen one post that said before the game they hoped for a draw. All have criticised 1st half but based on that it's relief to come away with a draw. As u say don't forget the mess PC was left with. And u just expect or demand a win? He still having to use the same mess as u put it, many yes who've failed time and again but he turned them round and tomorrow we could go top. We messed up, got away with it now move on to the next.

Boy blue I never said you ripped into our players, you quoted from many posts, all of the ones you quoted from are posts trying to find a positive from a disappointing result. You conveniently ignored the posts where people ripped into our players.
We are all rangers fans, we'll apart from the hidden celtic support on here who I'm glad to say seem to have disappeared. We all want the same thing so I don't get the let's have a go at anybody who tries to find a positive from a disappointing result.

I try to take a balanced view on the game. To lose it would have been a disaster, it certainly looked like we would at half time after a dreadful display. We played well in the second half and the fighting spirit in coming back twice was good to see. When the players who came on are fit enough to play 90 we will be in a better place.
I doubt anything I type will make any difference to the posters who simply like having a go at others who would rather talk about the game rather than others thoughts as they seem to get something out of it.

The frustration is not with each other. It is with the players. They talk a big game. The team has been consistent vs the rest of the league. Celtic has been lest consistent, they have more firepower but are prone to pressure on their defense even from weaker teams. The reality is though, this is a two team league and the winner is usually the OF winner. Call it bottle or whatever, the past 2 seasons we have been unable to perform against them. We haven't put them under pressure all season. We've seen what our team has done NEEDING to be perfect since november. It would have been nice to see how Celtic responded under the same pressure.
3 games vs them. Minutes with Rangers in the lead: ZERO.
Alas, it seems even now, we still need to be perfect to win and they don't have to.
