Apparently the club value tav at 5m. That still seems low to me and I'd have hopes nearer 8m was more accurate.

I’ll stick by my previous shout that if we are offered 5m for Tav then the club will allow Tav the opportunity to make crazy money in his last few years of his career. We have a ready made RB who imho needs to play in his natural position.

Just read an article about Tav being interviewed about the poty nominations with butland and orielly and shankland, saying he's speaking to club about his testimonial and that the Saudi speculation is not new news, the only bit that's new is goldson being added to it, maybe SWS's faith he's staying maybe correct. Or not.

Firstly I like a lot of what Tavs has brought to club over the years but the fact he has lost good yard of pace and will be 33 in Oct - realism kicks in here and if we were to get around 5 million for return seems more than fair imo -realistically it may be bit less- not many clubs will splash big cash for players at that age and stage of career - we shall see
I am more than happy to see wholesale changes at the back however as our defence has run its course imo?PC over to you!

I think the time is right we need to move on or we will always be playing defensive midfielders to cover for him. And not looking at proper right wingers.

that kind of cash fir that age would be a fantastic offer even fir a great defender, be crazy not to sell, we have becone reliant on free kicks and oens, strikers and midfielders can take them, great from dead ball when shooting, pretty often poor when crossing, an enigma really, can't defend, scores a lot, but we need mid and up top scoring the goals and the full back doing his job,

I think u might be on to something Big D, we just don't now, coops thinks and wants him to stay, Tom makes a gd for and against musing also. I think if there is money for him to go, and he wants to, then we take it and bid him adieu?.

I will be happy of Tav stays so long as we strengthen the centre of our defence and improve the general quality of the squad.
That said, as much for Tav as for us, I wouldn't begrudge him picking up a few years 'mega earnings' from Saudi with us picking up £5m+ in the process.
Our much more pressing need is for two top quality centre back, (Goldson is done and Souttar is not the answer) . We also need a major upgrade on Lundstram for that midfield role and we additionally need two quality wingers, (which could be Sima and Cortes providing their injury woes are behind them, and we clearly need to add at least one striker to replace Roofe.
That is just for our first eleven.
