Rohl has withdrawn from the process.
15 Oct 2025 20:11:44
Why are they all withdrawing not a good look.
15 Oct 2025 20:16:46
Hopefully that's because Muscat is getting the job because I would rather have Röhl than Gerrard.
15 Oct 2025 20:23:19
O the merry go round goes on.
I suspect he may feel strung along and realises he is not the favoured choice.
It should be an easy quick decision now as only on candadate left I think ?? lost track who is involved. ?.
15 Oct 2025 20:26:18
Told you he wasn't waiting but everybody jumps down you're throat.
15 Oct 2025 20:27:26
Rohl has withdrawn because he'll know it's kevin muscat's job now to turn down ?.
15 Oct 2025 20:28:44
Requiem, it won't be steven gerrard mate, it's muscat's job if he wants it and i most definitely assume he wants the job ?.
15 Oct 2025 20:33:34
Was just away to say that. Omg this just gets worse i know we need to get it right but worry about the damage all these delays and rejections are doing to the club it is not enjoyable at all what a mess we are in. So much for the new era ? i'm convinced Thelwell and Stewart have to go they have ruined us and it MUST stop.
15 Oct 2025 20:34:48
I think Rohl knew it wasn't going to be him, best of luck to him, I think he's a better coach than many on here think.
The most important thing is getting Thelwell out, it's a must with Stewart (out) being a nice to have.
15 Oct 2025 20:36:03
Maybe the guy met Thelwell and Stewart.
15 Oct 2025 20:36:37
Think it's looking very much like Muscat, if it was Gerrard he'd get a slightly different reaction after him turning in down on Saturday, both Rohl and Gerrard before Muscat, worry with his side in Europe, owners will be looking for this from a manager, hopefully he wins trophies in Scotland as soon as.
15 Oct 2025 20:37:33
Disappointed but not surprised. Spoken to in summer and again last week. What else do they need to know. It's pretty clear if they wanted him then what they waiting for. Looks like we're stuck with Muscat as last man standing. Really hope there's someone else to surprise us.
15 Oct 2025 20:40:42
Fingers crossed, SWS. Muscat is definitely the right choice. If it's true that Marathe is the one pushing for Muscat then I have gained a lot of respect for him.
15 Oct 2025 20:40:50
Bo Svensson also said no. Sean dyche said no. Steven Gerrard said no. Rohl said no. Mcinnes didn't even consider saying no. We are a shambles. Muscat is over in China. Maybe he doesn't know what's been going on. We aren't an attractive club anymore. I don't think there 49ers have a clue.
15 Oct 2025 20:42:59
Who ever finally gets the job, we need to get behind them 100%, stop with toxic in fighting and unite behind the club, the new management team and the players.
15 Oct 2025 20:53:36
If Muscat were to say om staying here in Shangai we would be in the rubbish.
15 Oct 2025 20:54:19
SWS OBE - and what happens if Muscat does turn us down. We are a shadow of the club we once were - scrambling about trying to get a coach/ manager.
15 Oct 2025 21:00:10
0-0 doom posting go figure ?♂️?♂️?.
15 Oct 2025 21:08:48
Wbine rohl pulled out as he's not getting it.
15 Oct 2025 21:23:38
Wine, So they haven't got a clue, billionaires, take a look at Leeds Utd, debt before them and debt now, have a look at thier squad from then, have a look at it now, also improving the stadium, I'm saying these men do have a clue a big one at that, not slow in showing people the door if they don't think their up for it, like that.
15 Oct 2025 21:29:33
If the top targets all walk away after being interviewed, very serious questions must be asked of everyone involved in this process. Very serious questions.
This is playing out in the media as an absolute shambles.
Credit to the guy who came on a few days ago and said Rohl had given Rangers an ultimatum - make a decision or he walks. Looks like his info was spot on ?
If Muscat decides it's not for him, we'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel. And no amount of snazzy Stateside spin will be able to pull the wool over the eyes of the fans.
This is one they needed to get right, and so far it's not looking good.
15 Oct 2025 21:35:05
I'm hearing Muscat has declined. Family reasons.
15 Oct 2025 21:54:27
Dougie wasn't waiting on what? he's unemployed.
15 Oct 2025 22:44:30
Nobody could ever have a chat with Stewart and not pish themselves laughing.
15 Oct 2025 23:01:13
Ally so your still saying gerrard 100% as per earlier post?
15 Oct 2025 23:46:14
I don't care about Leeds. Four unemployed managers have no interest in taking over ibrox. Billionaire business men should have contingency plans and managers lined up. We have a shortlist and so far all the guys don't want it. Why don't they want a potential salary of 3 MILLION pounds a year? Why? What do they see and know that we don't? 49ers so far have looked amateurish. A 9 million sanction for a striker who hadn't scored in 2 years? Yeah. Great business.
16 Oct 2025 00:11:09
Thelwell will have an even bigger say in the team at the week end the guy thinks he's bullet proof, look out for a puppet in the dug out. He needs to go or the club is in serious trouble.
16 Oct 2025 01:31:26
Look at Leeds to see the bigger picture, and the example how they will carry it out the work, maybe that is too much for you wine, they sacked three managers in only over a year at Leeds, maybe take a bit longer for us maybe not, but they need a successful Rangers team on the park for any gains, why i can see Muscat not getting long because they want success in Europe, maybe he adapts and brings that or maybe he doesn't, but trophies in Scotland does me right now, that is probably a bit much for you right now.
16 Oct 2025 02:50:14
I agree with mystar in the long term of american ownership but usually a lot of pain to begin with with american owners.
16 Oct 2025 04:54:23
Struth, if muscat does turn the job down then it will reiterate what a lot think of why gerrard stepped away ie. that thelwell is still being allowed to have the final say on players being signed and that as we all know is most definitely wrong ? The manager/ head coach should always have the final say ?.
16 Oct 2025 09:53:07
Well MYstar, nothing is A BIT MUCH FOR ME ?. Finance shows Leeds as being around 90 million in debt with around 50% due end of season. Also, Rangers didn't have the luxury of 200 million pounds in securing joining the Premier league. Leeds business model is projecting a 1 billion pound club by 2030. This is also offset by 120 million invested by 49ers. So that's 320 million so far. Their revenue is 273 million, placing them as the the 17th biggest revenue club in europe. I understand big money deals and I understand investments, so there's not, too much for me. Some on here are a bit whiney.
16 Oct 2025 10:43:12
It's because of Thelwell, isn't it. It is, isn't it?
16 Oct 2025 12:38:52
Clearly too much for wine, our owners need a successful Rangers team on the park, you don't get that.
16 Oct 2025 14:47:00
The 49ers are responsible for hiring Stewart, who none of us wanted or like. Thelwell who none of us want or like. Now his son and another one of his mates from everton. Vegan clown. The same. Then 9 million chermiti. It starts at the top. Cascade effect. 80% of our directors don't even live in Europe. Thelwell has the keys to the castle. If we can all see what's going on, why don't the yanks? Have any one on here actually looked to see who is on our board? Investors? It's surprising. Many wealthy guys putting money in to us and so far it's been hideous. Except for Gordon's restaurant at Ibrox. A bit dare, but no donuts in sight.
