That's the Muscat deal agreed. One slight detail to finalise in regards to his coaching badge which was acquired outside UEFA. Won't be an issue.
Announcement will not be today as his current team has a game tomorrow.
I personally have wanted Muscat for a couple of years now. Purely based on the football Ange had them playing up here. Won't necessarily mean Muscat can do it but he'll have my full support!
Hopefully turn things round asap and beat them on the 2nd. Realistically the 2 domestic cups are all we have left this season.

Celtic had a stronger defence than ours when Ange managed them. Our defence needs a complete overhaul for any manager to succeed.

Ange recruited well, he was backed to the tune of close to £30m in his first summer.

Forever, he got licence 2011. As he wanted it to manage in Europe, yes he had it to go to Belgium

I think LL is correct, I don't think Muscat holds a UEFA Pro- licence.
When he managed in Europe previously he held a different role until he obtained a 'RoC'.
I'm not 100%, but think this is only temporary and he'll have to apply again.

If people are setting an expectation of winning the league this season while sitting 11 points behind the leaders in OCT are deranged.
Can we just commit to allowing Muscat (if announced) time to settle and build and not throw our toys out the pram after 5 weeks.
We all collectively hate how we have been ran over the last decade and like it or lump it one of the main reasons for our continued failings is the constant and frequent change in play style/ manager/ coaching team.

Not everything is black and white. I'm telling you this is the only thing that needs ticked off.
Muscat a UEFA Pro Licence.
However, in past situations, he has encountered issues having coaching licences from outside Europe (e. g. from Australia / AFC) recognised by UEFA. For example, when he joined Belgian club Sint-Truiden, he initially had to take a technical / intermediary role because his non-UEFA credentials weren't immediately accepted.
The Australian football community has acknowledged that many local coaches (including Muscat) must undertake additional steps so that their non-UEFA licences are ratified or recognized in Europe.
So, although he is listed as having a UEFA Pro Licence, there is precedent that UEFA (or a national association) might scrutinize or require certification or equivalence validation, especially if much of his coaching education or experience has been outside European systems.
As I said in the post it won't be an issue and will be fast tracked and resolved but just informing you guys this is the only thing pretty much not signed off yet!

As Ed said it a rumours website so we take everything with a pinch of salt until the club confirms it.
I for one am really glad we are going for Muscat, wanted him instead of PC and definitely before RM. His style of play is brilliant to watch and even tho he has his style he isn't afraid to change depending on circumstances. My number one choice would always be Knutsen but don't ever see that happening.
Muscat has my full backing and hopefully these players actually buy into him.

If so, and McCann wins all the 6/ 7 games it will surely put Muscat under even more pressure.
