Still expecting to see at least a couple players come in before Thursday

Really hoping for a game changing deep lying midfielder and another quality striker to complete with Colak/ Buff

Another RW would be cream on top

Have a feeling if Buff is still unwilling to sign his new deal, we will look to punt him this window

If so, think we would accept between £6-8mil.

We need a Box to box CM or a wide CM (whatever you want to call them) just someone who is either going to be progressive with the ball or create space.

2.) 30 Aug 2022 02:23:55
Barclay is wishful thinking, Club resources could be better spent on C/ H and C/ F.

3.) 30 Aug 2022 11:36:54
Why do we always leave transfers to the last minute? It would appear the GUW do their business early and the players are in. All the money we have taken in E. g. transfers, EL money, exorbitant CL tickets etc and we are still potentially scrambling around with 2 days to go. Rumours re Morelos, Kent and Kamara potentially leaving before the deadline and very little activity re in coming players leaves me concerned.

4.) 30 Aug 2022 13:08:57
We don`t leave transfers to the last minute, we have signed 7 players during the summer. Sometimes a good deal appears at the last minute because of what happens at other clubs, so we have to be able to react.

Forest fans seems to think they are favourites to sign Joe Aribo

Figure being talked about is nearer to £15 mil

They seem to think they have beaten Fulham and Crystal Palace to get him

Be a great fee and return on investment if true.

SydneyGer

1.) 26 Jun 2022 08:22:45
Great money if true but why on earth would Aribo want to go to Forest? Whipping boys and back to championship the following season. I think we should sell Aribo this window, we need to freshen things up but I will be sad to see him go, I just can’t see it being to them and if Gio wants him to stay then I think we can provide a better contract along with European football and silverware.

2.) 26 Jun 2022 08:25:05
Would hate to see him go but if we can secure that price with a sell on clause very hard to refuse.

3.) 26 Jun 2022 09:01:30
Yeah I agree, it’s time if Joe moved on and thanks for his service ?✌️.

4.) 26 Jun 2022 09:28:08
Players that font sign new contracts need to be sold and replaced. We ain't in the financial position to let any player run down their contracts.

5.) 26 Jun 2022 09:38:44
If he is not signing them £15million is good cash could bank £5 million and spend the £10million bringing in 2 decent players.

6.) 26 Jun 2022 09:57:44
Cooper- why would he go to Forest? He'll be playing in the English premiership and will probably double his wages. What's not to like?

7.) 26 Jun 2022 10:04:26
This is true sweep. We allowed Goldson to do it, luckily he didn’t go for free. Others may not do the same. There must be a player trading model to generate finance otherwise what’s the point?

8.) 26 Jun 2022 10:42:32
Unfortunately Aribo has a 10 mill buy out clause in his contract this I know for a fact so any club meets that he’s gone.

9.) 26 Jun 2022 11:13:16
Baxter, he can double his wages staying with us as it wouldn’t break the bank, £14k pw is what he is on I believe just now. Play in the premiership, great for one season getting pumped week in week out and then they’re back in championship. I could understand if it was palace or Brentford to be back in London close to family and friends. Give up the chance to play in champions league for EPL mediocrity. None of us know what his true motivation and goal is, I am happy for him to go and if we get £15m from forest then delighted with that. I suspect he may want better for himself though. Time will tell.

10.) 26 Jun 2022 11:51:50
Cooper11, you are right, no-one knows these lads or their way of thinking, but they can all forget European football for the time being unless they sign for a top 4 club in England, it's their own career/ personal choice, we wait and see!

11.) 26 Jun 2022 12:41:00
If that were me, I'd be playing in the English premiership amongst the best players. Testing myself and pushing myself to the limit, with a better chance of showing my talents and earning an even bigger move. Oh and earning a lot lot more than I would in Scotland.

12.) 26 Jun 2022 13:45:30
It wouldn't be me Baxterboy because if i was good enough to play with glasgow rangers i wouldn't be going anywhere else from my side of things.

13.) 26 Jun 2022 14:12:29
And If it were me I’d extend my contract by 2 years, double my wage, win another title and cup, bust a gut to play in champions league, I would expect us to drop into EL after group stages and then a good run in EL again ? and earn a move to the best league in the world, La Liga.

14.) 26 Jun 2022 14:57:57
Coops that’s because you are a childhood fan most of these players aren’t and would rather be in epl.
I would rather be in epl playing against better players and more money only a fool wouldn’t IMO.

Where is it been reported 15 million for aribo as I have not seen anywhere near that amount.

15.) 26 Jun 2022 15:09:48
Walter what an absolute nonsense, Morelos aribo Bassey kent et al never supported rangers Morelos had not heard off us.

16.) 26 Jun 2022 15:45:51
Walter that is nonsense; if Rangers offered you 3k a week and someone came in and offered you 25k a week you would be away like a shot.

17.) 26 Jun 2022 16:35:31
I wouldn't because i would be playing for my boyhood idols pal so because you would do it don't assume i would or anyone else would on here for that matter.

18.) 26 Jun 2022 19:21:47
Walter the key point none off the players r boyhood blue noses.

19.) 27 Jun 2022 06:41:27
John25 agreed I'm sick of fans labeling players a Rangers man just cause club pay wages it's ?.

Great result last night

Watched through my fingers the last half an hour

Expect a busy last week of the window

Predicting 3 players to come in with all the Ks going the other way

Kent, Kamara, Katic, Kelly

Although Kent is our best player on his day feel there’s been something stopping him signing a new contract

Maybe he has been waiting to see what offers came in this window

Seems to be strong interest again from Leeds, now may be the time to sell rather than lose him for naught next summer.

SydneyGer

1.) 25 Aug 2022 13:02:45
Kamara must stay in my eyes I've always admired his ability to take the ball in under pressure and pass it to one of his teammates, Tillman did exactly the same, shout out to sands as well its amazing what a bit of a run does for a players confidence, I want real madrid liverpool and Dortmund no team will want us, we are the best team in pot 4.

2.) 25 Aug 2022 13:36:52
Glen Kamara is a fantastic football player and it would be a big mistake to sell him unless he wants to leave of course.

3.) 25 aug 2022 15:41:50
love kamara, pure quality

kent will probably sign now, but, if i’m honest, i think he’s done all he can do here

waiting months for a good game is very draining and frustrating, most defenders here have him sussed, often when that happens to a winger it’s not going to change, new pastures would be great for him

on my my opinion.

16 Jul 2022 05:57:51
If Bassey leaves reckon we need a centre back and a left back

Disappointed we didn’t go for Doig while we had the chance

Keen to see who we have identified to challenge Barasic

Would be happy with Reichardly Bazoer who we have an offer in for as he can also play as a holding CM

If we can move Katic and Simpson I feel it will be one out one in from then on if Roofe, Kent, Sakala, Kamara or Sakala were to leave at any point this window

Sneaky feeling either Roofe or Sakal will go and well we will replace with a Marquee signing.

SydneyGer

1.) 16 Jul 2022 06:48:29
Josh tymon and leidner are better left backs than doig if we do indeed sell bassey ?.

2.) 16 Jul 2022 07:17:34
Hibs wanted daft money from is for doig.

3.) 16 Jul 2022 09:07:09
Orange 3 million for doig, not a great season imo, good luck to him, but not for us.

4.) 16 Jul 2022 09:11:54
There's a young man we signed from Leicester City who looks a unit just like Bassey, and he can play Left Back, sorry, I forget his name, but John will know who I'm referring to.

5.) 16 Jul 2022 10:09:34
Jonny Yfeko is the lad, irvger.

6.) 16 Jul 2022 10:49:44
Irvger. 1872 correct. Yfeko has massive potential.

7.) 16 Jul 2022 23:48:59
Thank you guys, I saw his picture and thought, he could maybe do the job at Left Back along with Borna, and save us a few quid, I'll leave Gio to decide on that one.

02 Jul 2022 02:49:18
Changing the tone, and being a little more positive

Gonna back up my previous predictions and post on here in terms of incomings and out goings transfers, fees and new contracts

In

1 x Defender
2 x Midfielders (would love Billy Gilmour loan/ John Fleck permanent transfer/ Ramsay 1 yr deal)
1 x Striker (Colak)
2 x Wingers (Diallo loan)

Total spend = £20 mil

Out

Katic
Simpson
Aribo
Kamara (late in transfer window)
Bassey (late in transfer window)

Total = £53 mil

New contracts

Kent
Morelos
Helander

Current sentiment, might lead everyone to disagree, but I am genuinely positive about this window and what our squad will look like going into the new season

We’v cleared a lot of the dead wood and really started to invest in our youth system.

SydneyGer

1.) 02 Jul 2022 07:16:23
I back stuart mccall's comments this morning that ryan kent must be kept at all costs ?Mccall states he'll be the most difficult to replace ?
We must push the boat out to do everything in our power to get kent and morelos to sign new deals ?I personally think aribo will be sold and from these 3 if we're to sell one of them, it would be aribo for me who imo would be the easiest to replace ?.

2.) 02 Jul 2022 07:32:30
Players want to progress in the game Walter. These guys might not want another 3 seasons in the spfl.

3.) 02 Jul 2022 07:59:51
I think there's a good chance Kent will stay as he won't get the offers he'd like. He just not premier league class. He's done great in Europe and shines sometimes in league but is just too inconsistent. This is his level and even then he needs to seriously improve his goal record. Morelos is the one I'd push the boat out for.

4.) 02 Jul 2022 08:41:32
Sweep1,if they sign extensions they don't necessarily need to stay the duration mate that's not what i'm meaning ?If we can strike a deal to get them to extend with break clauses inserted into any new deal they sign, it would get our club more money ?It could suit both parties signing an extension and has to for them to sign it, that's what i'm meaning my friend ?.

5.) 02 Jul 2022 09:36:33
Agree coops. Long term deals are ideal to ensure we get a fair price when they do go ?.

6.) 02 Jul 2022 09:52:56
Kent has a very good deal on the table for over a year, gathering dust.

08 Jun 2022 02:59:59
Lowry officially added to the mens team list for season 22/ 23

Well done young man, I think we will see him in at least 20-25 games this season,

Noting as well Ramsay/ Amad are still in there, I think they will both be back next season

The team lists are updated based on contract updates only.

SydneyGer

1.) 08 Jun 2022 08:33:36
I would be very surprised if either were here next season. Ramsey or diallo cannot go down as a sucessful loan spell.

2.) 08 Jun 2022 08:46:30
Kent aribo etc will be on the list for 22/ 23 but if sold they will be removed the same as ramsay and diallo will be probarly when they officialy leave at the end of the month.

3.) 08 Jun 2022 09:05:58
Intr Diallo and Ramsey contracts ended 31/ 5.

4.) 08 Jun 2022 17:09:23
Dont want either back. Prefer Lowry to Diallo and Ramsey will want mega bucks to sign. Too injury prone.

06 Jun 2022 16:41:35
Interesting Cedric Itten, Leon Balogun and Andy Firth have all been removed from the official rangers mens team squad lists

Aaron Ramsay and Amad Diallo are still there

Could they be coming back?

SydneyGer

1.) 06 Jun 2022 17:11:42
Hopefully not sydney. I would love us to go out and try get katai from red star. Thot he looked a class act.

2.) 06 Jun 2022 18:08:24
Possibly.

3.) 06 Jun 2022 18:54:53
Hope so.

4.) 06 Jun 2022 19:20:47
Wonder if they are just been kept up to the official end date of their loan.

5.) 06 Jun 2022 20:10:26
Would seem odd if the official end date of the loan wasn’t the end of the season which has now passed.

6.) 06 Jun 2022 20:33:48
Yip 31 may was when they officially went back to there clubs.

7.) 06 Jun 2022 21:03:15
Hope to see Both back, Diallo will be a baller think next season he would flourish at us.

8.) 06 Jun 2022 21:10:44
Mcgregor still listed. King is on the list but Lowry isn’t. Souttar has been added but no squad number. Zukowski is listed, where is he? Haven’t anything about him since his debut against Annan. Think it just needs updated properly, wouldn’t read too much into Ramsey and Amad still being on there but you never know!

9.) 06 Jun 2022 21:11:11
Diallo is single fish. No thanks.

10.) 06 Jun 2022 21:28:42
Cooper 11 zukowski is injured, should be back in pre season.

11.) 07 Jun 2022 03:40:20
Official team site was updated yesterday, no Katic listed either.

12.) 07 Jun 2022 12:07:54
Diallo certainly not that imo.

Agree TJRC

Fantastic input and time spent on here by @john27

But definitely isn’t connected to the club the way people assume, if u look at his posts, they are mostly made up from other posts or scouring the net (a lot) for wiki/ transfer market and rumour info

Very time consuming so the efforts appreciated but mostly never accurate unless in relation to the youth squads or B teams.

Correct @Goughy69

If both Rangers and the player want the deal done in this window a bid of some kind is required this window

No bids required for a pre contract agreement

Think @John27 has jumped the gun on this one as has a long way to go

Agreed there seems some form of verbal agreement between Cantwell and us, but if Norwich dig there heels in over an excessive fee, this may just be a pre contract agreement.

We just qualified for the champions league group stage for the first time since 2010

Off the back of runners up in the Europa League

Are we a much weaker team DSGERSFAN?

We have refreshed our squad with a mix of youth and experience, with some really exceptional players

Although he may take a bit to settle, u watch Yilmaz at the end of this season, regular Turkish international already at 21, the guy is quality

For all those calling out for a marquee centre back, we have been unfortunate with injuries but we have Helander, Davies and Souttar all to come back soon

We need more creativity IMO, striker/ AM/ RW be happy with one from those three

Give this squad a chance.

Great post GDog

The way we are dealing with negotiations must have so many journalists frustrated

Particularly love the posts on here where the poster states the day of the signing, region within Europe the signing plays and a list of previously mentioned names from on here or a google search

The truth is there’s a few people who know our transfer business and we as supporters get to know when they are ready to tell us,

When the deals done

Kamara, I do like and would like him to stay, particularly in the champs league, but I feel he wants to go, has asked to go and will go if his valuation is met before the window shuts

There’s been teams interested in him the entire window.

Great news, did we ever get clarity on the level of his weekly wage?

I thought it was as high as £14k per week but more informed he was on the same wage as Leon King? Which isn’t much.

Although disappointing for Scottish football

Couldn’t have been happier to see them totally embarrassed

A lot happened in 2012 but will never forget how hard Dundee UTD put the boot in.

Starting to worry bout the obsession with Tav SWOBE

Yes he is a good player, but 11 players on the field make a team mate, he is a part of that 11

Yes u have stuck up for the lad, like a lot of others as well.

Very under rated, his stats are incredible

Speaks well, good with other players and leads by example, stopped 10 in a row and led us to a European final

Class player, but not yet a legend in my opinion sir Walter

However I do feel he will get to that legendary status with this group of players and manager by the time that testimonial comes around.

Aribo was played at Striker over Sakala last season

Roofe is currently and constantly injured and may be offski

Tillman is an AM/ 10

We definitely need another striker, in my opinion even if Morelos stays.

Would disagree the point regarding Morelos leaving and then needing a starting striker

Irrelevant to Colak doing being given a chance, doing well from the get go

Players need competition to get the best out of them

Colak may be the answer if Buff goes, but stick a good, young hungry striker who is good enough to get in the first team on the bench and I am sure Colak will do even better as he would be fighting every week for his spot

Same with Barasic, he can’t afford the same dips in form as past seasons, the minute he does he has a young hungry international quality player breathing down his neck for a game

We now have quality competition for places all over the park

The Bassey money allowed us to go out and get players before players left

Those players now not good enough and surplus to requirements, can now see there is no path to getting a game any time soon

And hopefully see that and be more open to leaving.
