Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Hi all, first time poster long time reader. Flew home from Germany last night, whilst picking my car up from the car park I walked past this white BMW. Very interesting registration plate!

It most certainly is and i would advise you to let the owner of the vehicle know that their reg plate is illegal and does not conform to British standards and is a criminal offence to be on the road with it displayed in that fashion. That plate should read GP07 73R.

No such thing Fork as an old style plate configured in the illegal manner such as that plate. If you were the owner of an illegally configured plate in the past then i suggest that you go and hand yourself in to the local cop shop and pay the fine for your criminality. There are strict laws on registration plate configuration that need to conform to British standards for a reason and the amount of folk who flaunt these laws is getting beyond a joke. ??.

Hi folks, I landed from Berlin around midnight last night. The reg struck me immediately. Maybe I'm adding 2 and 2 and getting 5 it's still incredibly coincidental that car is parked at Edinburgh airport when Rangers have apparently been talking to him…. Could be nothing, it might not even be his car.

It's the way that the characters have been printed on the plate that is illegal Fork. GPO 773R is illegal and GP07 73R is legal.

The reg number you have is from the 70's so that is the correct way on yours but this cars is from 07 so you have the 2 letter prefix followed by the 2 date numbers.
