I have heard that there are a number of non Russian Players currently playing in Russia that will be cancelling their contracts; it will be interesting to see the list.
There is also a lot of talk among those that have a soft spot for rangers in the City, (i. e. London), that we will be signing one or two top players from Europe. The view is that most of what we are seeing in the Scottish Press regarding incoming transfers is rubbish!

bb most of what is printed in every nations media at this time is rubbish, almost 99%, but, it keeps people amused and interested, always has and always will, it makes me laugh when i see faux anger and abuse of media, yet millions read it, and comment on it, including on here daily, its a part of football life, and I've always embraced it, ot the close season would be very boring indeed.

It's exactly the type of player we should be in for. Good attributes, good age and potential of profiting in future should he deliver. Wouldn't command a fee so could offer more in wages etc.
Few problems on Botheim would be that there are a good few premier league clubs after him and if he's coming from Russia, he's probably been on a hefty wage over there. Think this one will be out of reach for us unless he is lured by prospect of champions league football but even then, be hard for us to compete with Premier league wages.

From what i've seen of erik botheim and that's not a lot, he does look as if he'd be a good signing for us, at the right age also, if we can get him ? However it will be hard to get him as there's a good few clubs chasing his signature and these clubs play in much bigger leagues than ours and of course can offer him much more money ?.

The guy I heard it from last week seems to think we’ve got a really good chance of getting him but I don’t really get much info from him. Would imagine it’s just down to who offers him the biggest financial package as he’s out of contract.
