A really terrible performance today.

Well done to the jambo's, they deserved it.
Went into todays game quite optimistic.
Didn't last long, we were 2nd to almost every ball.
Watching Shanks scoring against us again, to think we could have had him in on free.

At the moment we have a 3rd or 4th team squad. Maybe not skill wise individually but definitely as a collective. On paper today that was a strong team, however it has no leadership and needs a whole new spine. Today was a wake up call and having all the possession in the world doesn't win games.
Now to many times when we received a ball today we didn't turn in to space, we didn't create a forward momentum, we kept safe possession. That can not be blamed on Martin, therefore if Danny is asking for forward momentum, the players don't have the skill to do it or it's the same old tactics that don't work against a low block. Raskin got more involved playing deep, however he doesn't have the penetration required and is not captain material. That 2nd half was dire. Personally the next 5 signings need to rebuild that spine and bring leadership. Yet some still think Tav should stay and a new captain isn't a priority.
Our player model although on paper looks good isn't working. It's all about the cash, never mind the history or the desire to win. Join us and get a move to another bigger league. ?? So we're does finishing 3rd get us in financial terms. This has been coming for a few years now and the amount of bad fits with no understanding of the league, the fans and what it takes to win it is getting tedious.

Agree Windy.
We are forgetting the present.
Filling the team with a core group of young players that need developing will never work for Rangers.
Needs to be a blend to include different qualities that ultimately need to be winning games and challenging on all fronts.
Get that bit right and the suitors will follow for our better players.
