I agree Stevie but the sheer disrespect and disregard shown to a manager in Eirik Horneland and St. Ettiene who had shown faith and trust in him was abhorrent.
We don't need any more selfish primadonnas anywhere near Rangers.

2 sides to every story best not to dive in when knowing nothing about it, I read it was contractual but not it was not clear. as to who was at fault if anyone.

Scott in mainstream media. they had an option on him from Sunderland which the player obviously agreed to. St Etienne took up that option when they were relegated so he was signed. He then refused to play for them at all. he terminated his contract and hasn't played so far this season. tbh do we want a player who does that to his club.

Paul yes that appears to be the problem no word the player is problematic, nothing whatsoever. Had no problem at Sunderland and actually some on their sites saying get him back.

He only signed in the summer after St Etienne took up his option to purchase. There doesn't seem to be a clause on whether they were relegated I base this on his agent's claim that he is looking to invoke the ruling for Lassana Diarra in 2024 where he terminated his contract, whilst paling in Russia and that club wouldn't release his contract. ECJ got involved and found in his favour. issue is that the ruling was about terminating a contract without 'just cause'.
so he will have to pay a termination fee as the new club can't automatically be claimed against any more. so if he doesn't have 'just cause' to terminate it does that sound like the paperwork supported him terminating?
would we think the same if we sign him and in 18 months time another club want him, won't match our fee and he just terminates again?

He will not be a Rangers player. Focus is very high for who we sign and won't just be down to who Danny thinks can do a job. Fingers have been burnt.
