Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

09 Feb 2019 21:29:33
bbc sportsound ratings for our game today, not one of our players could beat their worst player on their ratings, has anyone got any idea what idiot does these ratings, he must be watching another game.

09 Feb 2019 22:17:45
its the bbc behaving in their usual way towards rangers.

10 Feb 2019 07:44:29
Thought the BBC liked you lot? Both being all for Britain and unionism. It's probably because your players were poor yesterday.

10 Feb 2019 08:07:45
Rotten game yes, but the main aim for me was staying in the cup. The cheap plastic pitch is a disgrace and i can ses why teams struggle there. Remember your lot were honking there as well. A replay and no serious injuries is a good result for me. If Killie can muster the same competitive edge against them next week then i'll be happy. Btw i hope the guy who kicked Jack in the face escapes punishment so that hd can leave his mark somewhere else next week lol.

10 Feb 2019 10:10:41
Brilliant point seeker, but doubt the Rep Ireland player will be as fired up against Celtic!

10 Feb 2019 10:55:51
Fair point zikos.

09 Feb 2019 20:46:24
Starting to get a bit concerned about the lack of chances we are creating and feel a change of formation is required. I would like to see us try 352 again. I know it didn't work to well against Motherwell earlier in the season but feel Katic and Worrell either side of Goldson would have the legs to cover for Tav and Halliday/ Barisic should they get caught up the pitch. Think Kent could play furthest forward of 3 in middle of the park and with 2 strikers would give the opposition a lot more to worry about. Thoughts?

{Ed0333's Note - fuzzy wuzzy was a woman

10 Feb 2019 05:26:50
haha the auld prior reference cannot beat it.

{Ed0333's Note - touché my man 🤣😂

09 Feb 2019 19:32:17
noticed someone mention that morelos goal tally would be a lot higher if he took the penalties, and can't help thinking his value would also be higher if he did, not calling for tavs head btw because he missed one but i think they would add more value to a striker than a riggt back.

09 Feb 2019 20:14:49
only if he scored them.

10 Feb 2019 09:27:25
Goal tally might be higher if he stayed on the park more.

09 Feb 2019 19:13:13
Well done McCrorie. Easily man of the match. Kent was close behind but couldn't find any joy. And Halliday being Halliday. Great clearance off the line. Tav got away with one using his hand in the box. Katic would have scored on that corner that Worrall missed. SG should expect Defoe to do what Morelos does. Might have been better to pair Lafferty with him right off the start. Candeias is either ALL on or ALL off and tonight he was off.

09 Feb 2019 19:17:23
SG should NOT expect Defoe.

09 Feb 2019 19:53:23
When is the replay at lbrox?

09 Feb 2019 20:02:25
The replay is on wednesday the 20th of february mate.

09 Feb 2019 20:25:50
Just clicked on the player ratings on BBC sport and didn't have any rangers player higher than a 4 😂😂😂.

09 Feb 2019 21:27:07
I just noticed that how according to bbc kilmarnock apparently had the 14 best players on the pitch today yet it finished all square. Doesn't add up somehow.

09 Feb 2019 21:50:51
BBC are at the wind up with us now. It was the same with Sportscene last wed. Went over our game in great detail but never showed broons foul or burkes poor attempt of a dive in there game but did highlight tackle hibs player done on Izaguire.

09 Feb 2019 23:07:13
I'm sorry I wouldn't argue with that . I thought we were dreadfull.

10 Feb 2019 08:11:06
But were they not equally dreadful? It did finish 0-0 and as far as i could see McGregor didn't have a save to make.

10 Feb 2019 09:25:18
Thought both teams were poor last night, no creativity on either side. Had nothing each written all over it. Hopefully when we play at ibrox we can use our wide players more and stretch them. Also thought big Kirk was lucky to stay on the park, as well as Power.

10 Feb 2019 10:05:42
I agree very poor, we were lost without Buffalo. We had 7 shots, 3 of which were on target, they had 3 shots and zero on target, so that in itself would suggest we had more about us. We were stinking though, it was a hard watch. I will say this though if the back up players aren't good enough to come into the team and do something then what is the point in having them. Our best striker was suspended, we have Lafferty and Defoe as back up, Gerrard went with Defoe, result is no goals, for all I thought he was a bit of a strange signing I think he has to give Lafferty the chance or both him and Defoe at least he will put himself about and be more of an out ball and it is a bit unfair to expect a hobbit to deal with long balls all day.

09 Feb 2019 18:52:08
Young McCrorie has been outstanding tonight.

09 Feb 2019 20:03:25
In the 2nd half mccrorie was superb, I don't think he was that good in the 1st half if I'm being honest.

09 Feb 2019 21:28:08
Didn't see the game today but thought he was poor the other night, his touch was awful at times.

10 Feb 2019 08:13:24
Still young and learning. Sometimes the ball gets away from him but he is improving all the time. Stick on for future captain if he continues in the same vein. Love his aggresion.

09 Feb 2019 18:51:14
Whether we sneak a late win or not, this is poor.

09 Feb 2019 19:11:15
Agree that McCorie had a magnificent game but our distribution was very poor.

09 Feb 2019 18:12:47
Great save by Broadfoot. Two good strong hands, held onto it well.

09 Feb 2019 19:14:38
Thats two weeks in a row. Is it an SFA thing not to give reds for this? Are you allowed two goalies in Scotland.

09 Feb 2019 18:03:48
Can some person please slap tav when he claims a free kick. He's horrible.

09 Feb 2019 18:14:39
Been saying the same thing for weeks. Tav should leave frees and corners to others.

09 Feb 2019 19:10:49
And now penalties, far to casual

A close game and that was the chance.

09 Feb 2019 19:31:26
Bit harsh folks to say Tav should be taken off penalties, he's missed 2 all season. Honestly, a bit of realism needed here.

09 Feb 2019 19:57:00
didn't say taken off penalties mate, but now you mention it.

10 Feb 2019 18:56:10
Just because tav's captain he thinks he should be taking the penalties. He caused us a win tonight. Missing 2 penalties in a week is time to pass that duty onto someone else. i'm starting to believe Tav is to casual now and expects to be playing every week, just because he's captain.

09 Feb 2019 17:45:53
Why is the Kilmarnock player not sent off cause that was an absolute schocker!

09 Feb 2019 18:13:41
Your red right that's a red all day long extremely reckless.

09 Feb 2019 18:18:41
Even Sutton says it should be red.

10 Feb 2019 18:52:03
Shocking challenge but we shouldn’t expect to get anything. Stonewall penalty but that’ll be held against us too!

10 Feb 2019 18:53:57
Munbears, that's an easy answer -- its because he doesn't play for Rangers. Tavs set pieces are shocking and he's chipped in with another penalty miss !

09 Feb 2019 17:01:00
Strong team today. Hopefully wipe that smug grin off of Clarke's face.

09 Feb 2019 17:10:23
C’mon the Gers! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

09 Feb 2019 16:20:14
Halliday and Defoe in starting line up today.

09 Feb 2019 16:34:16
Think Halliday is in for Barasic because of that pitch. Good strong team though.

09 Feb 2019 16:08:56
In Amsterdam is there anywhere u can go watch rangers game cheers.

09 Feb 2019 14:52:25
Tjbb, think the game is live on premier sport 1, you can thank our great football association for this, make as much money as possible from our fans.

09 Feb 2019 16:05:35
Isn't that what they are meant to do? It is a business afterall.

09 Feb 2019 14:46:17
Haha, talk sport radio, top 20 derby have the famous v the tramps in 12th place .
Talk sport, talking about me thinks.

09 Feb 2019 13:53:51
On the ability of alfredo morelos only, do my fellow bears think that morelos at this moment in time, could play for either man city, liverpool, tottenham, arsenal, chelsea or man utd? Is he good enough for any of they clubs?
I think he is good enough to play for some of them.

09 Feb 2019 14:09:16
Supercoop. Technical ability wise he is still some way short of top EPL quality. Morelas’ strong point is his physical strength and attitude, or “playing on the edge” as often called. Unfortunately to date he has not demonstrated the character or self control necessary become a top EPL striker.

09 Feb 2019 14:09:35
Not a chance, he is nowhere good enough to play for most EPL clubs, let alone the elite clubs. He has a long way to go yet. If he was as good as he thinks he is, he would be at a higher level already. Needs to improve, hopefully can do that between now and May.

09 Feb 2019 15:15:06
Love Fredo but sorry Coop not a chance he is of that level.

09 Feb 2019 15:15:38
I really do think and hope alfredo morelos stays at least another 2 years with rangers and continue to learn his trade here, in the scottish premiership! He'll be much more ready, to go to play in the english premier league or spanish la liga, if he stays with us for another couple of years. He's still only 22 years old and has plenty time, to go and play in one of the best leagues in the world! Into the bargain, if he continues his tremendous goalscoring ability with us, we'll get an even bigger transfer fee for him, than the figures that are getting banded around, at the moment! Alfredo has to make sure he's ready, before he leaves rangers, for a better league! I truly think he can become a world class striker, for both club and country, in the very near future!
He has everything in his locker to reach the top! We all have to enjoy having him, while he remains a bear!
We will sure as hell miss him, when he's gone! Become a glasgow rangers legend alfredo, before you eventually leave! That would be my message to him!

09 Feb 2019 15:35:38
i hope in the remaining games Morelas starts to show an understanding and appreciation of our club including our values. In fact if someone could translate the famous works of Mr Struth into Spanish and present to him could be a good idea.

09 Feb 2019 15:50:07
I actually agree with u on this one coops.

09 Feb 2019 15:55:10
For what my opinion is worth supcoop, l think he is an amazing player in our league, l also think he can grow and progress, he is the type of player defenders hate (never gives them a minutes peace)
I don't think he has the presence for the EPL YET, he can make that leap but he needs to cut out the retaliation, defenders will always niggle him cause they know they can get a reaction out of him, but, l do think there could be an EPL player in there. If he moves too early though it could be his downfall in my opinion.

09 Feb 2019 16:01:50
In time possibly, not quite yet coops. Think about Bournemouth or Watford wouldo be about the level just now.

09 Feb 2019 16:28:03
He is nowhere near that level. Only scored 1 goal in europa league and none against that mob. I would also say the managers of these clubs don’t think he is at that level or they would have went for him. No way he would go straight to them he would need to do what Van Dyke did and go to a much smaller team to prove himself.

09 Feb 2019 17:04:08
Morelos is a good player but to become a great player he needs to keep the heid and I don't think that will ever happen, he scores plenty of goals for us but let's everyone down tim& time again and he's no good to us sitting in the stand.

09 Feb 2019 11:21:30
Anybody shed any light on Rangers TV for me? Use it loads with a VPN but today its got a statement in red saying

"DUE TO SCOTTISH CUP BROADCASTING RESTRICTIONS, DELAYED COVERAGE OF THE MATCH IS ONLY AVAILABLE FROM 23:20 ON SATURDAY 9th FEBRUARY.
THIS AFFECTS USERS IN ALL TERRITORIES, INCLUDING OVERSEAS".

Bit confused as it states you can watch live also. i'm thinking this statement is for certain subscribers who watch the delayed coverage. I just want to make sure when I buy it, I don't have to wait till 23.20.

Hope we give them a doing today, Clarke, the SPL, BBC, SFA can all get.

We bit different, I know but Kent was very effective playing off the front. Mcrorie was average last game.
Alan
Tav Goldson Katic Borna
Candias Arfield Jack Halliday
Kent
Dafoe

Hope we turn up, they'll need motorbikes to stop Kent.

09 Feb 2019 11:57:29
Mccrorrie has to start. Killie midfield bullied us last week. Mccrorrie and jack in midfield with Davis or Arfield. Arfield looked knackered on Wednesday so hopefully he will be ok. Chance for Defoe to show us what he can do.

Also don’t understand why SG keeps dropping Katic as he has been terrific in the games he has played recently. Also losing patience with Barasic. He was awful on Wednesday.

I’d go for Mcgregor tav goldson Katic Barasic Candias jack Mccrorrie Arfield Kent Defoe

Come on the gers.

09 Feb 2019 14:11:33
Get yourself a decent android box and watch any channel you want, including half the teams in the SPFL.

09 Feb 2019 15:01:37
Hesgoal online should have it too mate, can be a bit jumpy.

10 Feb 2019 18:23:34
Cheers for the heads up.

09 Feb 2019 11:09:12
With the big alfredo morelos news tonight, could you run a poll ED, to gauge the feelings of our supporters, regarding our striker alfredo morelos. The poll being, if morelos continues with his self destruct, should we put up with it, regarding his importance to our team, or is it a luxury/ liability, we can do without? Does the pros outweigh the cons?
Cheers ED!

{Ed033's Note -

Morelos Poll

09 Feb 2019 12:10:50
Grear player coops and i love the lad but he needs to sort out his issues or we will not win this league. how difficult is this for some people to understand. Even our manager has said this many times.

09 Feb 2019 13:20:30
Who's the top scorer in league.

09 Feb 2019 13:46:49
And your point is caller?

09 Feb 2019 15:58:21
He might be the top scorer. But he’s needed in the next 3 games and he’s not there to score. Likewise with his other bans. He might score 2 or 3 in one game, but if he’s not there for the next 2 games and we don’t win, then we don’t have the points. So he might be top scorer in league but if we don’t have the 3 points then it doesn’t mean heehaw.

09 Feb 2019 19:24:00
really, if he isn't there he can't score and we won't win a game. well you settled that argument yourself. ofcourse he is more use to us than not with us. stupid poll in the first place with the usual inevitable outcome. sure he needs to keep the head but to do without him is cutting your nose off to spite your face.

09 Feb 2019 19:53:37
Point is why sell our best player and top scorer I love the guy.

09 Feb 2019 11:07:31
They are trying to hurt us and our squad however we are a giant blue asteroid, nothing will stop us winning the SPL, the SC and the LC at some point and in one season. They all know that. Let them have their minute of glee, It won't last. Mr Struth experienced it and professed his immortal words of wisdom on the back of it. let's dig in, sing louder, tackle harder, score more, celebrate louder than we've ever done before. Give em hell boys. Kilmarnock will be shown the sword.

09 Feb 2019 11:03:58
What channel is the game on today.

09 Feb 2019 11:27:01
Premier sports.

09 Feb 2019 11:53:56
Cheers cullin.

09 Feb 2019 09:23:30
Morelos is a fantastic footballer but why does he have to get involved when it isn't necessary? The incident on Wednesday night is a good example. I don't think he stamped on McKenna but he didn't need to put his foot anywhere near him! He is now out for three games, but fortunately the two league games are against St Johnstone and Hamilton. This is why Gerrard has Defoe and Lafferty in the squad - time for Lafferty to step up. The decision to charge McGregor is outrageous. He came and won the ball. How could he completely control his trailing legs? Keepers used to be protected in any penalty box clashes, unless now of course you are the Rangers goalie. As for tonight's game, I'd play Lafferty from the start and push Kent forward and bring Davis into midfield then bring Defoe on after about an hour or so. It seems that Scottish football is against us but we really should stop giving them ammunition for their poisonous, bitter guns. Come on tonight Bears and shut that other Timmy up!

09 Feb 2019 10:21:25
It's not his trailing leg doiger, he leads with the studs so how is that his trailing leg? He 100% tried to do the kid it wasn't anything to do with protecting himself. Unfortunately he gothe what he deserved.

09 Feb 2019 10:36:13
Frustrated blue, maybe the term trailing leg was used wrongly in my case, but the point I was making is that it must be hard to control your legs when sliding on the grass to collect the ball with your hands, that's all. If there was an offence, it might have been a yellow at worst.

09 Feb 2019 10:59:01
Unfortunately I have to agree with Frustrated blue it was a very dangerous challenge. Red card and penalty. McGregor can have no complaints about the ban.

09 Feb 2019 11:51:13
A lot of great points well made Doiger but i have to agree with the other guys about McGregor and say that i think he knew what he was doing and deserved the ban. Having said that other keepers in other games have done exactly the same thing and have got away with it. Funny that because we all know the corridord of power are populated entirely with masons and orangemen. Aye rigjt!

09 Feb 2019 12:13:46
Yes guys, I supposed I was wearing my blue-tinted glasses! It is just that it seems that any chance to punish Rangers players or the club is gleefully taken by the rest of Scottish football. The blue bells will ring out loud when we regain the SPL title! I'd love to see Stewart, Thompson and Walker's faces when that happens.

10 Feb 2019 18:22:41
It was a red all day long. Should we have appealed it? Probably not. It was a stick on we were going to loose! There was no way this was getting overturned after the uproar of the last Old Firm game. It's trial by tv, pundits, ex players, managers and the puppet master pulling all the SPL and SFA strings. I can't even bring myself to write his name.
Would I change Morelos? Never! He's the best we have and we should be grateful he's ours. To hell with the usual suspects bashing him every week on tv, in the papers, social media etc. He's never going to change and I'm glad. Teams are terrified of him and long may it continue.
And before anyone starts that he's no good to the team in the stands, I know that. However, he's still going to end up the league's top scorer! If we try to change him, we might not like what we end up with.

09 Feb 2019 09:09:09
Actually think referee Madden on Wednesday has a goof match. For me he got both sendings off correct and both penalty awards correct. Difficult game to referee and he did a good job.

09 Feb 2019 10:32:21
Totally agree Bankie, he reffed the game well and got the big decisions spot on. Alfie could have removed his foot, no red card, shagger had the ball won and could drop his leg, no red card. No conspiracies, no agenda, just poor decisions from our players making the ref make a decision.

09 Feb 2019 11:52:57
I agree 100% guys but its the turning a blind eye to even worse incidents elsewhere that i have a problem with.

09 Feb 2019 09:02:17
Assuming all fit same team today for me with Lafferty starting up front. Expect initially will be a bit of a battle and will suit Lafferty, with Defoe coming on in the second half.

09 Feb 2019 12:51:38
That’s a very good point Bankie, Defoe is the much better striker but is light weight, were as Lafferty is more up for a fight and has a point to prove, to himself and the supporters?

09 Feb 2019 08:30:41
For an incident to be reviewed by the panel does a complaint need to be made? And whom has the authority to make a complaint? Can the media lodge one?

09 Feb 2019 08:26:41
First off Morelos is a good striker whom works hard and is very important to our team when he's on the park but rewind to pitodrie start of season his petulant kick maybe cost us that game and its not isolated its frequently happening. It needs to stop he hasn't hurt anyone any time he's been sent off or could have been sent off but he constantly gives refs/ linesmen decisions to make, even some of his bookings which sometimes lead to red cards are for mouthing at officials. Alfredo don't change the way you play but stop the petulance and shut your hole please!

09 Feb 2019 11:54:56
Or if you are going to get sent off make it worth it, if you know what i mean? Lol.

09 Feb 2019 06:45:06
Gerrard can't get through to Morelos. Maybe the SFA just did and did us all a favour. Whatever Gerrard is saying to him must be going through one ear and out the other. Yeah it's a luxury afforded Morelos about licence to play on the edge but sitting on the edge of his seat in the stands for three games might be the medicine he needs. Never come across such a petulant player in a Rangers jersey.

09 Feb 2019 07:55:51
Shagger deserves to be punished that was stupid. Morelos not a red for me there’s no stamping motion what so ever! However he did give the ref a decision to make! I’d keep him regardless of disapline he’s different level!

09 Feb 2019 00:51:04
What about Rangers looking to sign the lad Shinnie from the Sheep, I think he would be great in the middle of the park. Work rate was great and he is solid in the tackle.

09 Feb 2019 07:02:23
i think the lad would do a job yes - he’s ideally suited for SPL tigerish tackler and great engine

but with our media and authorities and this ludicrous trial by media we are now faced with the lad would be sent off every other week

simunovic elbow and brown tackle are blatantly excessive and dangerous so lucky to get off but I have watched the burke dive cple of times and its actually ridiculous.
