Heart on hand twitter account reporting Sports Direct will be official partner to Castore for selling the new kit.

Surely this can’t be correct. Has anyone heard anything? I checked on the internet but couldn’t see anything but don’t have any social media accounts.

1.) 01 Jul 2020 18:25:30
Cannot see this baz.

2.) 01 Jul 2020 18:27:34
Rangers will be releasing a statement soon SSN. Hopefully we get more clarity.

3.) 01 Jul 2020 18:29:12
Been dismissed as nonsense
Castore said it’s absolute rubbish along with Rangers 👍.

4.) 01 Jul 2020 18:29:52
absolute snide rumour from the cesspit.

5.) 01 Jul 2020 18:32:49
Yep sports direct fb have put up a massive post. Leaving the club and the fans with a massive red face. Talk of ashley links to castore weeks ago. Another shambles by rangers. 1 thing after another if we are still connected to SD and could be a massive blunder commercially.

6.) 01 Jul 2020 18:32:53
All over Twitter that SD are selling our strips. Not able to verify that but if true the answer is simple. Don't buy there. Some questions need answered though.

7.) 01 Jul 2020 18:33:30
Some 1 from the club needs to come out right away and tell us exactly what the script is.

8.) 01 Jul 2020 18:38:44
Does anyone have a long rope I can borrow? 😰😱🤢🤮.

9.) 01 Jul 2020 18:40:15
Castore have also said there investors want to remain private but one of them is one of the wealthiest family’s in the U. K.
which would suggest it could be the likes of the Reuben brothers who are big Chelsea fans? Billionaires
Or you have the James ratcliffe guy

But I’m thinking more like the rueben brothers just my opinion lol since the like football etc.

10.) 01 Jul 2020 19:10:39
4 lads had a dream Twitter says statement from the club and castors shortly. My only worry if it's bulls*it why do we need a statement?

11.) 01 Jul 2020 19:05:43
True blue its not a rumour sports direct have published it all over there facebook page.

12.) 01 Jul 2020 19:30:43
Buy direct from the club or castors.
Simples.

13.) 01 Jul 2020 19:32:21
@Snell

The family in question is Richard Branson, it's not a secret.

14.) 01 Jul 2020 19:34:45
SG also has shares in Castors.

15.) 01 Jul 2020 19:36:37
What does that mean I'm relation to my post? 🤣 I meant the club better not still be dealing with Ashley in any shape of form. Others were the ones debating investors mate 👍.

16.) 01 Jul 2020 19:42:14
Aye, should have been to the guy above you. I'd edit it if I could.

17.) 01 Jul 2020 20:07:44
SD website says they are selling our strips. Pictures are not our new strip.
We don’t know what court order says.

18.) 01 Jul 2020 20:10:28
Buy your tops from rangers megastore

But i agree rangers and castore must give the fans some statement if rangers are getting 20% 80% etc of sales

If any percentage from sales is going to sd i ain't buying any.

19.) 01 Jul 2020 20:35:20
Fire sale of all old existing products.

20.) 01 Jul 2020 21:14:00
Did any of you actually watch fan media. Castore did 3 interviews with fan media outlets and explained the money situation. Jeez oh!

21.) 01 Jul 2020 21:18:25
"As is common practice in teamwear retail, Castore will form a number of wholesale supply arrangements with high street retailers in the UK and overseas because that is key to the global aspirations of both Castore and Rangers but the purpose of these arrangements will always be to maximise the availability and sales channels for Rangers products. " This is from rangers statement online so if castore decide SD are to be one of the outlets to sell our merchandise then where do our fans stand in regards to our feeling towards the DAT RAT ASHLEY. Hopefully nonsense but leaves us as supporters and our club with egg on our face. I for one will only purchase from rangers direct or castore.

22.) 01 Jul 2020 21:24:52
Why is it such a problem if SD are selling our strips?

We can choose not to buy at SD
Ashley has no influence over the club

I won't go into a SD shop but if the club profits from the shirt sales that they can move, that can only be good.

23.) 01 Jul 2020 21:31:09
If sports direct get a single one of our strips in stock that's an embarassment.

24.) 01 Jul 2020 23:35:16
Castore make merchandise like it or not Castore don't have enough retail stores SD may have a deal with them but that's it but it may not just be them that Castore deal with.

25.) 02 Jul 2020 00:37:50
Sorry I don’t agree with most of you. I dislike Ashley and the way he operates as much as you. However, Rangers have an agreement with Castore which gives us a good deal probably dependant on the number of shirts sold. This has nothing to do with Ashley. Castore will sell using online means and other retail businesses . If SD is one of those then SD will have to agree a deal with Castore. This deal will suit Castore or they will not do business. Therefore Rangers are in control and still make the same premium and SD a fraction of what they used to from selling our shirts. For me it is a win-win.

26.) 02 Jul 2020 01:51:25
Only thing that worries me is SD use of the word exclusively.

27.) 02 Jul 2020 06:17:50
Good post 68. I agree with you.
If folk don't want to buy from sports direct? Don't.
Buy direct from castore or the club.

28.) 02 Jul 2020 09:01:49
Here we go no it is not. Trade law very clear we cannot refuse him to retail merchandise or he would get an injunction.
Simply buy direct from Castore or megastore. Also small independent shops.

29.) 02 Jul 2020 08:21:33
Its all lies rangers and castore have put out a statement. and its only castore that are involved with rangers. they are the number 1 retailer and only rangers and them are a partnership.

30.) 02 Jul 2020 10:32:21
Wtf is this Castors chat? Surely enough of you know the name of the company by now.

31.) 02 Jul 2020 10:42:14
I think Castore could not exclude SD from selling kit but no need for an exclusive deal to sell it. It might be tied us with other Castore products ie SD won't sell any Castore stuff if SD can't sell RFC kit.
Maybe this is why Ashley went quickly in the end.

32.) 02 Jul 2020 10:44:45
Correct John25, this is all a non issue.

33.) 02 Jul 2020 10:59:51
Castore don't need to deal with him. Surely this was discussed during talks regarding kit? Personally disgusted, that mike ashley will make any money from from our merchandise.

34.) 02 Jul 2020 13:35:15
Herewego55 BUT HE WON'T IF NOBODY BUYS FROM HIM!

35.) 02 Jul 2020 14:12:32
Herewego55 you really aren’t getting the point are you 🙈 just now one buy from sports direct and Ashley will get nothing.

36.) 02 Jul 2020 17:06:50
well spotted isle of mull. i wondered who would notice. their word is correct. until its not and someone else gets the strip, per castore's statement.

37.) 03 Jul 2020 00:14:18
I will tell you what is exclusive . I can exclusively reveal that if sports direct are left with any stock of ours, unlike before they cannot make our club buy it from them at retail prices . and some of you guys are trying to tell us that is not an improvement . They say they have exclusive rights but we have just sold 50k of which they won’t see a dime 🤪.

38.) 03 Jul 2020 00:16:31
Aye I get the point, ashley has shafted us for the best part of a decade. Should have made sure when getting a new kit supplier, that sd got no access to our kits. Unacceptable that he makes one single penny from us. Lots of short memories on here 👍.

39.) 03 Jul 2020 13:52:27
Castore looking to re open club shops again. Tops will be sold at sports direct but not exclusively. Buy direct from club Ashley gas taken enough.

40.) 03 Jul 2020 21:58:13
Castore have made a deal way sports direct to sell the strips. Nothing to do with the Rangers-Castore deal every strip sold rangers are benefiting.

A few posts by some bears who think we should be top of the league. Seriously? If we beat Kilmarnock, Dundee, St. Johnstone and Hamilton? We don't have a right to beat these teams. We were rank rotten in all these games and we pushed our luck against Hibs.

We don't have a manager. The director of football and chief exec haven't even conducted an interview since Pedro left and look to be clueless. Pedros appointment was a disaster. The sacking of Mark Warburton was a pantomime as well. Those 2 and our board have hid behind our under 20s coach and it's shameful. Murty should come out of all this with great credit. He has acted with dignity and class. Something we used to take for granted but it's in short supply from those who run the club these days.

The team haven't improved from the team who won the championship. Not one of Pedros signings have improved the team. Not one.

We are letting our standards slip on and off the field. How many empty seats at full time on Saturday? We should be angry at how our once great club are going. Not banging on about us being top of the league IF we beat Hamilton and St Johnstone and Partick Thistle and Dundee.

Agree with most of your post. Morales, jack and john are better than what we had though. As a club we are terribly run. Wasted millions.

2.) 19 Dec 2017 08:26:05
Baz that is the most accurate and truthful post I have ever seen on here. Well said!

I’ve been reading most of the posts today and totally get why Dessers is getting pelters. However the young lad McCausland had a better chance and made a real mess of it. He also had an easy pass to Sima. I thought McCausland, Cantwell, sima and Dessers were all poor yesterday but Dessers takes most of the stick.

Baz the bear

1.) 31 Dec 2023 15:13:27
I think it’s fair to say Mccauslands decision making needs to improve and also his tracking back left Tav exposed but he gives us more than anyone else currently on that right. I think we will eventually have someone else as a starter on the right but McCausland challenging for a place and being a fantastic option of the bench and also making starts himself. If he improves his decision making and learns and applied himself under PC he will go far!

2.) 31 Dec 2023 15:35:11
Cantwell was floating about that park like a empty bag a would sell him in January.

3.) 31 Dec 2023 15:54:38
Cantwell was a fart in a trance. Honestly, he was horrendous and the game just passed him by.

McCausland played OK, and yes, his decision making at times was way off, but compared to some of his more "experienced" teammates, he was nowhere near as dire as them.

4.) 31 Dec 2023 16:00:49
He was man marking McGregor… some can’t read that or appreciate unfortunately.
Think he was caught between that and helping attack.

5.) 31 Dec 2023 16:06:05
If you think McCausland was the reason for our downfall yesterday then God help us all. ?‍♂️.

6.) 31 Dec 2023 16:10:14
"Man marking" McGregor? How? Where? When?
Jesus Christ on a bike? If that was his job, then he was even worse than what I thought he was!

7.) 31 Dec 2023 16:15:52
Well he done a very bad job of man marking him.

8.) 31 Dec 2023 16:29:19
I didn’t see it as a downfall
2.1 going on 2.2 with ten men in front of a hostile baying hateful crowd .
Celtic were very very nervous last ten min .
Had that ball went over to tav in the last few mins where he was standing unmarked instead of whoever it was taking a shot . you would all be creaming your thingies… even goofie roofie.

9.) 31 Dec 2023 16:55:27
???
Things must be desperate in the Mols household if you're celebrating ifs and buts. Unlike you, I live in the real world, and celebrating ifs, buts, and our biggest rivals being nervous in the last 10 mins, just isn't my thing.

Did their nervousness win us the game? No! Did their nervousness cut the gap in the league? No! Did their nervousness lead to our first victory against them in a meaningful game since April 2022? No! Do you see where I'm going with this? Sorry, I forgot who I'm speaking to, so you probably don't.

I leave the "creaming" of my "thingies" to something more tangible, like a victory.

10.) 31 Dec 2023 17:14:18
He was that bad at man marking him that 10 minutes in I was thinking we should move Sterling to play in that area to stop McGregor, not his natural position I know but would have done a better job,

11.) 31 dec 2023 17:20:38
the lad isn't a team player, il say again he's been found out in england and basically ignored because he appears not able to follow instruction or play in the team shape, a sand dancer like kent, he could dribble himself inti the main stand but get nowhere, a shame, but we have all been on a pitch with someone like that, be it at school, or junior or pro

a gu6 who can do tricks, turn back and do them again, and never look up, just down at his own feet, i don't know about his rep in england, maybe the ed knows something, but il bet cantwell name is in few no no books.

12.) 31 Dec 2023 17:25:50
McCausland was our best attacking player by a mile, always presented himself for the ball and won countless fouls with his direct running and unlucky not too score.

13.) 31 Dec 2023 18:18:17
Man marking McGregor ?? I was closer to McGregor than cantwell was an I was watching on the tv.

14.) 31 Dec 2023 19:14:05
PMSL Storm. ??.

30 Oct 2023 16:21:58
Having been to most games this season I have come to the conclusion that most of the players we have are either not good enough or don’t have the bodies to perform at a professional level week in week out.

Roofe and Lawerence I don’t think will ever be fit enough for the rigours of a rangers player, needing to hit peak performance week in week out.

Defence, Tav has lost something in his game. I lost count how many times he was one on one with the full back but just couldn’t get past him. Thing with Tav is that he has moments of brilliance and he is there week in week out. Goldson and Davies don’t cut it for me. How they allowed Shankland the run on wee Ridvan for the first goal is poor.! great cross and great header but both were guilty of ball watching and not for the first time. Borna’s time is up and has been since we won the league and ridvan isn’t physical enough and will be targeted due to his lack of height. Sterling I can’t comment on, same with young Devine. I like big Souttar and for me he is the best defender we have.

Midfield don’t have many goals in them. Cantwell will struggle to get double figures and has been poor this season. Raskin and Lundstrum have been poor however under clement I thought both have really upped their game. Cifuentes and dowell I haven’t seen enough of but signs aren’t encouraging and Ryan Jack has looked unfit and slow.

The forward line is where we are really struggling. Sima I will give pass markets. He has a good goal return, looks physically strong and works his socks off. Danilo another who looks promising. Wright, Matondo we need better. Dessers and Lammers are just awful, although I personally would never boo a rangers player and the abuse they get along with Tav is way out of order.

Butland looks a future captain and a star in the making.

PC has an almighty task on his hand. I hope he gets some backing and uses it wisely but until then rangers are just a real hard watch and have been for some time.

Baz the bear

1.) 30 Oct 2023 16:52:18
I agrre with all that you state baz. for me the 2 most important catalysts in the near future (Europa aside) are the new years game and the transfer window. hopefully the rest will take care of itself wit Big Phil at the helm.

2.) 30 Oct 2023 17:45:14
It’s a pity about Roofe and Lawrence because they both have a lot too offer as players, their injury misfortune is also Rangers misfortune, imagine those two guys fit every week in the team? Would be nice?

3.) 30 oct 2023 17:50:03
agreed with all of that baz, the bonus is european football, that provides a cash flow avenue,

4.) 30 Oct 2023 17:56:02
That's a great post Baz and I agree with a lot of what you say, especially lundstrum and raskin stepping up they're game recently. I quite like Matondo, and really like Sima although he's not ours. I also think Cifuentes is good but not had much of a chance to show it yet. I think Cantwell is decent and I've always liked Danilo, he was scoring for fun preseason b4 he came and think he'll own our number 9 slot. I was prepared to give Dessers and Lammers benefit of doubt but its not looking good. In defense, I like Soutar too but think Davies has also stepped up his game and would like to see maybe those 2 together, Yilmaz is still young and very much in the mould of modern attacking full backs. The problem was Barassic delivery was fantastic and Yilmaz is average. While i appreciate Tav has never been an amazing defender, on goals and assists alone, I don't think we can lose him, he's getting slated every week and he's probably still our top goals and assists guy this season. Butland is exceptional.

5.) 30 Oct 2023 19:09:42
Cantwell scored 7 goals at the end of last season so who know what he can get over the season . The goal was Yilmazs fault, there is no way a deep diagonal cross beyond the far post was the centre halves to deal with . Maybe we should not play a left back and just have the centre backs rushing out to do the job instead.

6.) 30 oct 2023 19:28:00
the goal was a fantastic header of dj proportions, should have been cut out at the cross, wasn't and yilmaz had no chance.

7.) 30 Oct 2023 20:13:27
Agree with your post Baz. I wrote a similar post yesterday after the game but didn’t actually post it because it was a bit too negative after what felt like a great win.

At the 70mins mark I actually came to terms with and accepted that this team isn’t going to lay a glove o. Celtic this season. Other than Butland and Souttar, none of our players would get into their team and most would probably struggle to make the bench.

PC has a big job ahead of him but I’m confident that he can makes us a team again with a couple of good transfer windows. ?.

8.) 30 Oct 2023 20:20:07
The goal was Tav's fault. He should have stopped the cross.

9.) 30 Oct 2023 20:23:06
We can’t blame yilmaz for being the height he is.
It’s hardly a mistake by the lad.
He can’t cha he what height he is.

10.) 30 Oct 2023 20:24:09
It was a very good goal. If you watch the goal back gers4ever, Shankland drops deep and ghosts in at the back post. He was hearts only centre forward and their main threat. When he scores he is in or around the 6 yard box. He comes from a central position and one of the centre half’s should have been watching him as soon as the ball went wide.

Just my take on it.

11.) 30 Oct 2023 20:30:41
Ridvans marking for the goal was slack, he should have been a lot tighter to his man, no where near him to put off shankland, even jumping next to an opponent can put them off and miss the chance, zero pressure applied to shankland, he took it well to be fair to Hil but far too easy a header, cross should have been cut out and marking should have been better.

12.) 30 Oct 2023 20:49:23
Yilmaz like Raskin have time on their side to develop, and become better. Mod of the other players in the team have their best days behind them now and need to be replaced over the next few windows. That includes Tav, Goldson, Davies, Barasic, Lundstrum, Jack, Wright, Roofe and now it seems we have to add Dessers and possibly Lammers.

Maybe a bit unfair on Goldson and Davies but neither are strong enough. Shankland bossed them all night and he’s hardly imposing.

I know it’s quite a list but needs must if we want to progress. If not we are standing still which in football is moving backwards.

13.) 30 Oct 2023 21:41:08
It wouldn’t have mattered if yilmaz was tight good goal by them seems some on here have never played football before. Should have been cut out at cross like others have said.

I also agree baz the bear he moved from central to the back and our ch stood ball watching instead of marking him.

14.) 30 Oct 2023 22:56:03
People keep saying that this and that should have stopped the cross it’s football players cross the ball all the time.

15.) 31 oct 2023 01:04:06
and defenders are supposed to try to stop them crossing, that's their job.

Does anyone know who the fitness coach was when SG and Micheal Beale were here and is he available?

I was just thinking it would be great to get whoever that was back too. thought he might have left with SG and would be available now sg has left Villa.

Fitness and over all running seems to be way down this year.

Baz the bear

1.) 28 Nov 2022 16:17:55
Bar his fitness course at Rangers was Jordan milsom.

2.) 28 Nov 2022 16:27:08
I'm sure Matt Konopinski was our fitness coach but not sure if he was replaced this season or last.

3.) 28 Nov 2022 19:08:06
Milson was head of sports science, not a fitness coach as such but role was related to fitness and the medical department.

4.) 28 Nov 2022 19:11:13
Twisted left about a year ago.

08 Nov 2022 07:34:26
I just watched the highlights of PSVs win against Ajax at the weekend. PSV chased, they ran, they tackled, they made contact. They were organised, they let Ajax have the ball in wide areas, they were compact and well drilled. They had plenty of pa e in attack with big de jong up front. They battered them and turned the game into a proper battle. Gio if you are reading go and take a look and get some passion, aggression and running like that into the rangers team.

Baz the bear

1.) 08 Nov 2022 09:09:01
What would PSV do to us now Baz?

2.) 08 Nov 2022 11:04:38
I wouldn’t want to imagine bar72. I think we caught them at the right time. Also shows what we could be capable of. They have better players but they looked like a good old fashioned Scottish team with they way they set about Ajax. The big number 6 is some player too.

3.) 08 Nov 2022 13:59:17
I was reading last week that folk in Holland can hardly believe that Rangers beat PSV over two legs. So, I agree with all you say and it is time for Rangers to sort-out the management structure. That might mean bringing someone in to assist, a 'no more Mr Nice-Guy' type of figure, but do something. Standing aloof from supporters will only work for so long. (and that's not very long in my experience)

4.) 08 Nov 2022 18:16:44
If you look at the stats for the PSV game, both legs were pretty even with us having slightly more possession and attempts at Ibrox and them slightly more in Holland. A deserved win over both ties so these people can go and scratch themselves.

Just received a text to say new kit being delivered on 4th of August.

This isn't good enough Rangers. When I bought it about a month ago I was told 1st of August. I'm beginning to get a bit annoyed with our club. 1000 for a season ticket for me and my son and we need to watch via rangers tv, which I get. But to be banned from viewing anything else on the platform is a disgrace.

My Gers who subscribe £50 a year now have more privileges than st holders. Also tried to get my £25 voucher for last season to find out it expired on 30 June.

Beginning to feel the core support are being taken for granted. Sort it out Rangers.

So you don’t know I’m wrong storm.

Read GR4. I might well be wrong. My source might be wrong. The person who told me this is very well connected at the club and funnily enough the story he was telling me and a few others centred around Connor Goldson and his new contract. So a few years old. No figures were mentioned. He said Goldson wanted to be highest paid and at the time the 2 highest earners were Lundstrum and Roofe. If you knew who you were saying is wrong you would choke on your corn flakes.

You are all wrong. I know I am right. all the usual in the know brigade I’m not telling you my source. But what I will say is the person who told me this EVERYONE on this website will know them.

And another thing, none of you actually know his exact weekly wage. The person who I told me said he is one of the top earners at Ibrox. He wasn’t specific on wages

So unless you work in the payroll department of Ibrox, know John Lundstrum personally and he has been bragging about his £22k wages or seen his wage slip you can’t tell me I’m wrong.

I thought someone said earlier that we offered him 2 years but Lunny wanted 4?

Great news if he signs a new contract John and keeps playing the way he is. For me he downed tools for both Gio and MB and I would have chased him. However he has rediscovered his europa league form under PC.

I do have on good authority that he is one of the highest, if not top, paid players at the club so that might have an impact on any decision.

When we have 8 men attacking and pushed high up the park these things can happen. Yes Goldson should have done better and yes we have conceded similar goals in the past. But what is the alternative? Buy another 4 centre half’s and see if they are any better? Play 2 holding midfielders who sit deep? Don’t let our full backs push forward?
