Just seen a list of players out of contract in English Championship. Some good experienced players available:
- Nick Powell
- Wayne Routledge
- James Morrison
- Liam Palmer
- Marcus Olson
- Frazer Campbell
- Timm Klose
- Tyrone Mears.

08 May 2019 07:54:02
lewis McLeod been released by brentford also.

08 May 2019 09:18:27
I've always like Morrison but we're overloaded in that position. I don't really see any of them improving us much. I think our squad is good we just need a couple of quality players to push the first 11 rather than signing backups.

08 May 2019 09:31:15
A pretty underwhelming list, I have to say.

08 May 2019 13:52:00
No thanks.

08 May 2019 14:26:00
They have been released for a reason. SPFL is not the plae for any of them.

08 May 2019 14:53:41
Nick powell out of that list would be the only one i would personally go for. The rest are past it or not up to it.

07 May 2019 22:19:45
I seen our manager was at the Liverpool game tonight. I hope he replays the whole game on a constant loop in the training rooms to drive into our players that it's a team game and not an individule performance. I have never seen such a grrat team spirit from a team that was technically out of this round.

Stevie I hope that you pass on even 10% of the enthusiasm you seen tonight to our players fo Sunday

I always love the under dogs to win.

07 May 2019 22:54:49
Congrats to liverpool, for what was a stunning comeback and win over barcelona! Liverpool at anfield are quite incredible, especially in these iconic european nights! For me liverpool have been undoubtedly the team of the season! Really pleased as i like jurgen klopp, he's some manager!

08 May 2019 07:28:05
Skblue, my thoughts exactly. Gerard should show this to the players to show what hard work, belief and determination can achieve. Celtic certainly ain't no Barcelona and really are there for the taking on Sunday and next season.

08 May 2019 10:03:30
Living with a family of Reds I can tell you it was pure unadulterated joy in our house last night! Incredible, unbelievable-any superlative you care to name. If Stevie could just bottle some of that spirit for us we'll do all right!

07 May 2019 22:12:40
Respect to Liverpool I knew they had it in them what a team reminds of the 2008 uefa cup the team spirit was massive.

07 May 2019 22:10:34
We should do a guard of Honour, I don't care wether they would do it for us, we have different standards.

I think it would be the right thing to do, then we can put down a marker for the next season by beating the current Champions.
LET'S GO AGAIN.

07 May 2019 22:15:41
I strongly agree. Show some class and be dignified!

Then pump them on the pitch.

07 May 2019 22:30:40
Class and dignified! Haha, from the team that’s into double figures for red cards this season for booting and hitting anything that moves on a football pitch! From a team who’s manager after his first game in this country accused the refs of having it In for the club even though he couldn’t have picked govan out on a map before he came and had absolutely no idea what’s went on up here! Aye classy and dignified right enough lol! We neither want or need a guard of honour! Knowing that we’re the 8 in a row champions is more than enough thanks!

07 May 2019 23:49:02
I agree shouldn’t give u a guard of honour no way.

08 May 2019 00:07:36
it was your mob that started the guard of honour crap, so don't go bumping your gums when some gers supporters offer a dignified response to something which they had no hand in asking for, and don't keep talking inane drivel on matters that are not even in the posts

08 May 2019 03:28:48
I'm smelling a bitter wee troll this morning. So much for gracious in victory, humble in defeat eh. What does LH stand for anyway, Lacking Humility or Len'us a Hunner?

08 May 2019 05:46:01
I don't think clapping them on to the pitch to celebrate them being champions is the best way to mentally prepare for an Auld Firm game.

We'd be beat before a ball we'd kicked a ball.

Getting in the zone is more important and rallying the troops to have a bit of focused aggression in the mind set from kick off. (But not too much Alfredo) :)

08 May 2019 07:19:19
As a Celtic supporter I couldn't care less about the guard of honour rubbish. rangers are out both cups and have lost the league again. That's all the tributes I need😉.

08 May 2019 07:38:26
That is a typical response from an unwashed follower. Let's just do them on the pitch and show them what to ecpect next season when the natural order will be restored. F*** their guard of honour and f*** them.

08 May 2019 13:00:49
Bridhoy
Rangers have just came through a traumatic period in their history and are still coming back, and any sensible person can see that, obviously people with one track minds don’t want to see it. Rangers will be back to their best sooner rather than later, that’s why your on this site ( Mexing it. )

09 May 2019 18:53:16
Lh86 now I'm going to try and be "dignified " here and not mention your tainted titles so much but what I will focus on is the one you call a captain I.e Broony! He's probably the most blankety blank that's ever captained any club, but yet gets away scot free ( pardon the pun ) every game he plays!

He's made out to be a great (average player in my eyes), but he has this rep that he's sensational and most fear him for some unknown reason! Imho he's bang average that has been looked after by refs and most certainly people higher up as this retrospective crap that seems to surface now and again he seems to be excluded from this!

07 May 2019 22:09:15
Surely Klopp must be in with a shout of the job at Parkhead now. What an unbelievable performance.

08 May 2019 07:39:30
With Guardiola as his assistant lol.

07 May 2019 18:59:40
Just a question on the definition of sporting integrity, . would the SPl allow any team to drop 11 players for a league game, like the Spanish league did for bArcelona at the weekend?
Just asking?

07 May 2019 22:06:07
Sounds dodgey that hello probably a huge bung popping up in the Spanish teams bank account now that should be looked into am just glad Liverpool humped them the night well done the liverpool.

07 May 2019 22:10:54
Mis read your post soz I thought another Spanish team dropped 11 players b4 they played barsa so again.

2018/19 is the best Liverpool team I've seen

07 May 2019 17:12:32
{Ed's Note - PutneyRed has posted a new article entitled, 2018/19 is the best Liverpool team I've seen

07 May 2019 16:46:51
I really hope reports of Skrtel 'knocking back' Rangers are untrue. £13k a week for a 34 year old who clearly has no interest in playing for us? I'd not be happy at signing him when we have a first choice pairing already. Let's bring in two decent defenders who can provide competition and a good few years younger. A massive no to Skrtel from me. Also good to see Shinnie going elsewhere. Not good enough nor what we need.

07 May 2019 17:18:33
Said on here from the outset Ibrox4Me, that i didn't want graeme shinnie anywhere near our club. Imo he's simply not good enough! We've got much better players currently in the midfield area he plays in, who are streets ahead of shinnie. Derby county are very welcome to the signing of him, which is a 3 year deal i believe. He'll be back up the road to the sheep within the first year and a half.

07 May 2019 15:53:11
Was wondering what the chances of actually signing Kent were, Steve has brought in a few wingers Jamie Murphy coming back and young Middleton developing.
Is that a position we really need right now?
Could it be Kent may prove to be more adaptable as oppose to just a winger?
Saw Willie Henderson at big Billy's funeral, would love one of him again.

07 May 2019 14:09:01
Anyone else think Waghorn could come back and do a job for us. Big fan of the guys workrate and he's doing not to bad on the goal and assist tally. With our current system 1 up top and the form Arfield is in, in terms of chances made, I really think he would get goals.

07 May 2019 14:15:07
Not a chance! Derby paid 8million for him and he’s been scoring regularly for them.

07 May 2019 14:30:40
Big game bottler for us
No thanks.

07 May 2019 16:02:53
Is this a question to be taken seriously or a wind up? Waghorn and Garner simply weren't good enough. I'd like us to sell the hot head at a price suitable and search for a talented no.9. Maybe this Croatian being mentioned.

07 May 2019 16:42:35
The thought of Waghorn playing for us again gives me nightmares. What an absolutely awful player. Don't care if Lampard reckoned he was £8m value and don't care how many he scores for Derby. Truly garbage.

07 May 2019 17:20:55
Gerrard has already stated kfraser that he doesn't even know who maric the croatian striker is, never mind interested in signing him! So that's a no no mate.

07 May 2019 17:22:35
To be fair Waghorn was and is decent. He has scored goals all season in the championship and Frank paid 8 mil for him so I think that tells us all we need to know.

07 May 2019 18:23:56
Kfraser what makes you think some Croatian striker who nobody on here as actually seen play would be any better than Morelos are waghorn! Probably another grezda.

07 May 2019 19:07:50
A wee question for you glasgowrangersgooner. I take it with your posting name your also a supporter of the arsenal mate? My late dad liked arsenal as his favourite english team, as rangers used to have a friendship with the arsenal and played them in friendlies decades ago now. It was a friendly at ibrox one year, then down at highbury the following year and so on. My dad used to go down to highbury for the games as well as attending the games against arsenal at ibrox. He made a good few friends that were arsenal fans, while he was down there and thus always liked the arsenal doing well. I don't mind arsenal but my favourite english team has always been newcastle utd. I didn't follow my dad that way.

07 May 2019 19:58:58
Cooper he played against us in the Europa League so I'd take Gerrard's comment with a pinch of salt. 36th who'd heard of Waghorn or Morelos before signing for us? Grezda's Albanian. Anyway I said maybe, I know nothing of his stats other than he's rated in Croatia.

07 May 2019 19:59:42
Supercoopereleven, yeah mate I’m a Gooner also but my first and most significant love will always be Rangers. There’s quite a strong arsenal and Rangers connection as you say. We as a club actually owned a token share in Arsenal. Despicably that was sold by Craig Whyte during his criminal tenure here.

07 May 2019 22:31:10
Is there still a strong rangers/ arsenal connection at the moment mate? I can always remember the greatest ranger ever, john greig saying he was physically sick, when he realised that scumbag of a character craig whyte, sold our arsenal shares, that were given to us all these years ago, as a present for helping arsenal out financially,
by their manager at the time, herbet chapman, who was a personal friend of sir bill struth. That tramp whyte sold the shares to a rich gunner, for 250k, i believe. Greig actually stated that it was the worst thing he could have sold, in his opinion. The arsenal woolwich shares meant the world to our club and obviously to john greig. Probably more treasured than anything else in our world famous trophy room! John greig did say as much!

08 May 2019 07:42:59
Well said coops, it was a dreadful act by a horrible individual. I've always had a soft spot for Arsenal.

09 May 2019 17:09:09
There seems to be a decent Arsenal and Rangers joint following still. I'll tell you a lesser known fact that adds some weight to the link.

Arsenal legend Bob Wilson is a Rangers fan, with some considerable substance to his choice. His middle name "Primrose" comes from his great uncle John Ure Primrose, who was chairman of rangers from 1912-1923. He had previously served as a member of the Govan Polis Commission! and Lord Provist of Glasgow.

Bob is massively proud of this fact and is a huge Rangers fan to this day. As is his prerogative, he generally keeps this under his hat, but has no issue with it being known.

3 years ago at the FA cup final, Bob agreed to come as my guest to a future Old firm game but I reckoned he was just being polite and haven't followed it up. I was at his table along with Frank McLintock, Liam Brady, Charlie George and others and I'd been mistakenly introduced as a guest from Glasgow Rangers! I was happy to let that run until I eventually succumbed to telling the truth.

Anyway, just to finish here. Bob runs a charity called the Willow foundation, which gives special experiences to the terminally ill. He set it up following the passing of his daughter many years ago. Not sure if this is allowed on here, but if any of you are looking for a worthy cause for your next sponsored event or workplace charity, then please have a google at it.

07 May 2019 14:02:03
For the first time in a while we must be favourites going into the oldfirm game. I honestly fancy us to hit them for 3!

07 May 2019 14:48:26
I seriously doubt you's are the favourites. What are your reasons for thinking you's are?

07 May 2019 15:04:02
Won 5 on the bounce, and you lot have stuttered towards the title, and after the job we done on you last time at Ibrox, why wouldn't we be?

07 May 2019 15:04:04
Bookies may give u a clue😂😂.

07 May 2019 15:05:23
Top scorers in the league, Unbeaten in last 12, Top goalscorer in the league, At home, already played yous off the park and beaten yous once, will have 11 men on the park after 40mins. will I go on?

07 May 2019 15:23:34
Ger88 if your basing your assumption on game at Ibrox against us when we played with a recognised left back or striker then I think your going to be bitterly disappointed again.

I'm going for 3-1 Celtic with brown first goal scorer.

07 May 2019 15:29:22
Very confident rangers will beat THEM on sunday! We'll put the lego muncher and popcorn teeth, back in their cage! let's rub it right intae them on sunday. Let them know we're most definitely coming for them bigtime, next season! Best player on the park in the last two old firm games, was ryan kent, who can tear this overrated mob apart. He'll have lustig on toast.

07 May 2019 15:46:59
3-0 to the teddy bears. You lot are delusional if you think you can come to our place and win. The days of us rolling over for you no marks and nothing but a bad memory!

07 May 2019 16:09:35
Phil88
I certainly hope you’re wrong of course. Even you have to agree that Celtic are stuttering? A friend of mine is a Celtic fanatic, football only with him nothing else, and even he says they need a good 6 players, would you agree or not?

07 May 2019 16:21:54
C-of-ibrox delusional? You's were the ones saying right up till end of January "The Rangers are coming" what happened there? Is that next season now?

Truth be told Alan McGregor has saved you's from disaster so many times this season. By far your clubs best signing. On Sunday he won't be able to save you's from the stand. 3-1 Celtic and that's being polite.

07 May 2019 17:48:58
philtiperson, so you are admitting you have been on this Rangers page since January? Unbelievable 🤣🤣🇬🇧.

07 May 2019 17:52:01
Ulsterman yes I agree we need 6 new players. We have not been as good as last season and have a major rebuilding task during summer with manager as well.

07 May 2019 18:37:55
Yately and what's your point? It's a banter forum. Bet your feeling really silly now.

07 May 2019 19:46:37
Lenny must stay phit.

07 May 2019 20:18:31
Lol tilla die hopefully not.

07 May 2019 21:39:13
Silly? Your the one on a Teddy Bears forum😳😬
#Obsessed with your LOVE for the Glasgow Rangers🇬🇧.

07 May 2019 22:17:09
Yately it is a forum. The concept of a forum is discussion and debate. That's why these club rumour pages are all linked so that fans of clubs can go onto other forums to debate views. Your making yourself look really silly now lol.

07 May 2019 22:25:02
And yir still on it😬😬😬😬🇬🇧.

09 May 2019 17:26:28
Philtim88, we played your overrated mob off the park with 10 men the last time, at breezeblock boulevard!
God i hope and pray popcorn teeth gets the gig as your permanent manager! I'd be extremely confident of the world famous iconic stevie G,
going against that wee troll, next season. This isn't banter and winding you up, as i genuinely believe that!
We'll stop you getting 9iar never mind 10!It ain't happening pal!

07 May 2019 11:41:33
With greg docherty and jordan rossiter coming back from their successful loan deals, its going to be very interesting close season, as to which midfielders gerrard keeps and who he wants to move on. It is the one area of the team were very top heavy with and can't keep all the midfielders!

07 May 2019 11:56:23
Yes mate, and I still think we need another, one who can link with the front men and get double figures goals return. Hope we can see the best of Rossiter now, god knows we’re due it.

07 May 2019 12:17:18
Wee_bear - we already have that player, Arfield. He’s been different class since he’s been moved further forward.

07 May 2019 12:32:56
Agree with that swagman but we have no one else who can provide that and when he’s off the boil we will suffer.

07 May 2019 13:00:28
Holt will be away dorrans will come back in. Think rossiter will leave and docherty back on loan.

07 May 2019 13:38:02
A full pre season n Jamie Murphy will be fleein. provides assists, takes men on, quick, clever and scores goals. if it wasn’t for his injury I genuinely believe he woulda finished second top scorer behind alfie and probably top for assists.

07 May 2019 13:59:46
Docherty has to be in first team squad next season, great to see he hit 10 goals whilst in loan. Will be interesting to see what Rossiter does and think he has another year on contract. Based on what I’m hearing think we should see how he shapes up preseason and if positive keep him in first team squad also.

Jack, McCrorie, Kamala, Davis, Docherty and Rossiter and a couple of the young boys, Kelly plus another should be midfield first team squad next season. For me Arfield is more of an auxiliary striker or number 10 as SC11 would say. Really looking forward to seeing the boy Docherty.

07 May 2019 09:19:29
Looks like signings for Kent and Mexen are edging closer, whilst another has gone dead - thank god for that!

07 May 2019 11:00:56
Anybody know if Mexer is any good, 30 year old and until few days ago I’d never heard of him or anything about his football pedigree.

07 May 2019 11:31:50
Can't ever mind of watching mexer play Bankie. He's supposed to be pretty fast, terrific in the air and a very strong, solid all round, centre half mate. We'll trust stevie G and mark allen on this one.

07 May 2019 12:53:33
The very fact that SG went to watch him and his club want to keep him stands him in good stead.

09 May 2019 09:42:05
Kent would be a class signing, don't no much about mexer but what I have read sounds good. Who is the one that has gone dead🤔👍.

09 May 2019 13:44:50
5 seasons in French top flight, off the back of winning French cup and internationalist who is in his peak years for a cb suggests good business all around on paper mate. Could be an exciting one.

07 May 2019 07:32:57
At first thoughts I said absolutely no way to a guard of honour, but now I might be changing my mind! Maybe a little bit of defiance from me and we should clap them onto the park as they would never ever have done it for us especially at the piggery!

07 May 2019 09:57:01
Feel the same as you Yately1, I feel it would make us look better men than them.

In any case their 800 supporters will roar them on to the park.

07 May 2019 10:44:01
Hey, I know if it was us, I wouldn't give a toss about a guard of honour, knowing we were the Champions running out at Celtic Park would make them sick anyway. The other thing is 'Simply The Best' will be belting out over tannoy maybe they can stop this on Sunday. 😢.

07 May 2019 11:03:39
If we would have clapped any other SPFL winning team into Ibrox then we should be consistent and clap Celtic on. Don’t see the big deal.

07 May 2019 12:18:44
Please don't condone this guys. The thing is gathering pace as I suspected it would. Even Boyd is putting his tuppence worth in. God knows where it will go when some mhedia twit asks that tramp of a manager about it. In the past, during our 9 in a row they didn"t do it, and we haven't done it either. Let"s just leave it at that. Can you imagine our guys clapping that rat of a captain of theirs onto the pitch after the last match? Please guys just let this lie. It would ruin my year just to witness this so if it somehow goes ahead I won't be there to see it and won't even watch on tv. Please, please NO!

07 May 2019 13:05:50
Beyond me why some would even consider this
U only do guard of honour to mark respect
Enough said.

07 May 2019 13:49:19
No honour with them to respect. Would personally turn my back as they enter the pitch.

07 May 2019 14:46:32
Wouldn’t give THEM a smell o my Sh##e.

07 May 2019 15:33:23
No respect for that football club whatsoever. Especially that apology of a captain they have! He's a total ned of a captain that no bear would ever respect. His attitude for a celtic captain is appalling so it is!

07 May 2019 16:25:56
Cunny in oz - I wouldn't want a Smell if your keek either!
Yuk.

08 May 2019 07:29:58
Bonniebear 😂.
