Just my opinion here like.

So Katic looks like a big strong laddie who can handle himself and likes a physical challenge so he said and can also play in midfield

What about playing him in CM? He can control the centre of the park and also put a tackle in and break down thebefore the attack

21 Jun 2018 20:35:42
Ross mccrorrie does that very well

21 Jun 2018 20:38:21
Sorry bud but he's been signed to play defence it's good that he CAN play in midfield but his natural position is centre back

21 Jun 2018 20:50:32
He’s played centre mid as much as centre half for his old club. Read his old managers comments. Posted it a week ago

21 Jun 2018 21:13:45
We finally get a big strong centre half and folk want him in midfield

21 Jun 2018 21:16:06
I don’t understand why a lot of people are wanting Katic to play in midfield. We have McRorie, Jack and Rossiter who can all play CDM but we hardly have any decent centre halfs.

21 Jun 2018 21:21:43
Katie has been signed to play centre back, end of. We only currently have two real CB’s, him and Gouldson. Cardosso will be gone as soon as he can find another team and Albee won’t be available after the World Cup until around The end of August, by which time we’ll have played a number of European games (hopefully) and started the league and will have a settled centre back pairing. We actually have 3 players who can fill the defensive midfield position, Rossiter, Jack and McCrorie. It was just unbelievable bad luck that all 3 of them spentvthe majority of last season injured. However currently they are all fit so we shouldn’t have a problem in that position.

21 Jun 2018 21:36:11
I repeat, lad has played as much at centre mid as he has centre half. This is what his old manager did with him. Purely correct information. Let’s just trust in Stevie. If he wants someone to play a cm that physically dwarfs the oppositions then I guess we should question his actions?!? . We need ideas v Brown I’m sure you’d agree amigos

21 Jun 2018 21:45:13
Ger78 the world cup finishes in mid-July so why would it take another six weeks for Alves to return?

21 Jun 2018 21:46:21
Has she aye

21 Jun 2018 21:52:00
Ger78 who is Katie, Gouldson, cardossso and Albee morning confused? Lol

21 Jun 2018 22:51:23
Katic will play where he's told!

21 Jun 2018 22:55:00
PLay him in CM. the role we have several players to play while the centre of defence is shocking. great idea

21 Jun 2018 22:57:30
End of August? How long do you think the World Cup lasts? There will be players who will pay in the final that will be playing long before the end of August

22 Jun 2018 07:31:02
Sorry about spelling was writing that half asleep. My point about Alves was that he’ll need a break after the World Cup A’s unlike the rest of the squad hasn’t had one. We’ll of already started our games while the World Cup is still on so will need a settle back two. I’m guessing we won’t see Alves ready to go until well into August. That is if he still wants to be here at all!

22 Jun 2018 08:41:03
I've been saying for years that we should sign some gigantic Balkan psycho with a face like a bag of hand grenades to play in the heart of our defence. We finally sign one (sort of) and folk want to play him in midfield. Chuffing hell.

21 Jun 2018 20:10:53
What's people's thoughts on Windass being used as a striker? He is a good finisher but maybe not reliable with his positional sense be played in midfield or number 10.

It will be interesting to see how and where he plays under Gerrard.

21 Jun 2018 20:19:53
if gerrard does develop windass into a decent player it won't be instant it will take time we need to sign a proven goalscorer to push on to the next level imo

21 Jun 2018 21:22:52
I would rather he was utilised as a front man as he is like a man down if he needs to work back in a midfield position. Only issue is he hasn't got the balls to go in for a header if it might hurt him.

21 Jun 2018 21:45:20
Hurt him? More like ruin his hair

21 Jun 2018 22:53:20
I the he could do a job up front as long as he had a strike partner, his pace would worried most defences

21 Jun 2018 23:34:26
Windass has never really set the heather on fire for me so far but I believe there is a player in there that SG can bring to the fore. We got this lad from Accrington Stanley hardly a major signing but has shown some real quality and dealt with some horrendous stick. Yet he's still here fighting like **** to continue to play for one of the most prestigious clubs in world football. I admire that spirit and will give him my full support. I think he loves the Rangers 💙 #LetsGo

21 Jun 2018 20:00:38
Would like rangers to sign Robert snodgrass from West Ham big upgrade on right side of midfield fee around 3 mil

21 Jun 2018 20:18:59
Not a bad shout Goshy123 delivers a great ball and would make us dangerous from free kicks. Seeing in this World Cup how important set plays are. We conceded plenty from set plays and don’t recall us being that dangerous from our own.

I wonder if we could afford his wages I’m sure he will be on a good pay and is he a player still in his prime or on the way down? Haven’t seen enough of him last year to comment but recall how good he was for Hull in EPL

21 Jun 2018 20:23:03
He actively supports and wants to play for Celtic

21 Jun 2018 20:40:42
If he goes anywhere it will be to Celtic, him and his fam are massive Celtic fans. I also think his best days are behind him, he’s lost a yard.

21 Jun 2018 20:58:33
Celtic already made enquiries abt snodgrass, more than £3mill though

21 Jun 2018 22:58:58
His family aren’t half Celtic fans. Played alongside his brother and there is no way he will play for us

21 Jun 2018 19:45:23
I can't seem to remember Flanagan play for Liverpool but I'm going to guess he's maybe better than tav defensively so saying that does anyone else think maybe SG is thinking he can relate tav and flan depending on who we are playing?

With tav maybe being the better attacking option and Flanagan being the better defensive option.

21 Jun 2018 20:24:10
flanagan has over 50 games for liverpool was out for long spells with injury or else he would of played a lot more a tough tackler and good in the air i'm sure he also has an england cap

21 Jun 2018 20:33:39
Not a dig FB but are you a bit happier with the board this weather?

21 Jun 2018 20:42:41
The lad ticks every box in assets you would want in a full back. Won’t be many who face him will get change out of him. He loves a tackle.

21 Jun 2018 21:50:29
I like a settled defensive line, be it a back 3 or back 4. Its a no to rotating the back line for me.

22 Jun 2018 01:05:21
Don't let's get carried away here. This lad was close to being an England first pick but has played about a dozen games in the past two years due to injury problems. He also comes with the baggage we all know about and which will surely still be affecting his mindset. I think for the first half of the season he'll be used as cover for Tavernier and John until he settles and then we'll see a lot more of him if he can stay injury free. Good luck to the boy, but don't expect too much too soon.

21 Jun 2018 18:47:43
What's everybody thoughts on how we will set up defensively now Flanagan here . We were missing a solid right side defender . I'm a big fan of three at the back myself as long as there is a good central defensive midfielder in front of them. .

21 Jun 2018 19:40:17
Happy enough

21 Jun 2018 20:18:48
Love the players coming in, Def
won't be bullied this season
and defenders that can play .
Regarding the boy Kelly correct me if I'm wrong we got him from
the dark side what a prospect he is, bring it on, and more to come .

22 Jun 2018 01:10:06
Brian-p he's been with us since he was eight and has never been with them. I've watched his progress and I'm confident he'll make it, but we have to be patient. And he's not better than Barry was at that age, no matter what the more hysterical numpties among us might say. He's good, he's on the radar, he's getting there.

21 Jun 2018 16:39:43
Stevie G telling Clyde 1 there will be more players added to squad before qualifiers, possibly some leaving.

21 Jun 2018 16:54:08
Hoping for at least one new striker. We are very thin on the ground in that department.

21 Jun 2018 17:02:19
Hardie Morelos and Herrera the only strikers on the books believe at the moment

21 Jun 2018 17:20:24
Maybe Windass up top as part to two?

Still preferably get some quality in tho

21 Jun 2018 17:53:51
Think Windass will play as a CF in behind the striker

21 Jun 2018 18:48:55
In thinking we will go 3 5 2 with morelos and windas up top if nobody else signs

21 Jun 2018 19:50:20
CF bear

At least 1 maybe 2 strikers will be signed. Can’t go into the season with 3 strikers especially when Herrera isn’t good enough and Hardie is untested. It’s the 1 area where we don’t have strength in depth

21 Jun 2018 20:45:03
Isn’t Hardie going back out on loan initially? Herrera is a cert to return to Mexico. I’d expect atleast 2 forwards to come in and Windass will be played in a number 10 role.

21 Jun 2018 16:03:30
16th May we were noted as having made our interest in Reece Burke known of WHU, it's now 21st June is the player keeping his options open or are we waiting to get a CB off the books first? I dunno

21 Jun 2018 17:47:42
Maybe they were interested but thought that Goldson and Katic were better options? .

21 Jun 2018 17:54:37
Fair enough stillthink he'd be a great addition at the expense of Cardoso or Alves

21 Jun 2018 20:06:15
Agreed mate but if we got the lad Burke in also think we would need to play three at the back because I don't think any of those three would be happy on the bench week in week out .

21 Jun 2018 14:33:19
Ed is there anychance that if u could make the option of hitting the disagree button that you need to state a reason why you disagree. I feel that the disagree button is always a source of discussion on here when we don't know if its gen gers supporters or just supporters from other clubs trying to cause descent friction between our fans

Cheers ed.

{Ed001's Note - no, pointless. It stops trolls just saying 'I agree' or 'I disagree'. It really doesn't matter anyway, unless you are 12 and think this is a popularity contest.}

21 Jun 2018 15:57:27
OMG, if its not bad enough that people hurt your eyes with the nonsense that they post, they are now upset when someone disagree's with their nonsense. Who cares!

21 Jun 2018 16:11:05
Ed me personally don't give a monkeys who disagrees with my points or views or rumours and i'm sure most will be the same. Its was more to do with people disagreeing when a former player passes away when people trolls ect come on and disagree with fans offering condolences to the player and their family

{Ed001's Note - just ignore them then if you don't give a monkeys.}

21 Jun 2018 17:55:46
Stewart I agree with the point you were making regarding my post earlier about Johnny Hubbard. i'm the same as you I don’t care whether people disagree with my opinion. Maybe I should go on to Celtic rumours and do the same. Then again the thought of being on a Celtic site gives me the creeps lol

21 Jun 2018 19:39:52
It's a virtual button.
Who cares if someone presses it?

21 Jun 2018 13:47:32
Official 2 year deal

21 Jun 2018 14:20:09
Sorry but am not happy we signed him. Certain things can be forgiven not that.

21 Jun 2018 14:30:10
So what things do you forgive and what things are unforgivable?
I’m sure you’ve made a few mistakes in life fintytint. What he done was abhorrent and indefensible. However everyone has the right to be rehabilitated and move on, Pretty sure he regrets every moment of it. I think if his misses can forgive him then I think so should we🤦‍♂️

21 Jun 2018 14:40:57
If gary mccallister can give him a chance then who are we to judge him? he has served his time for what he did now wants to move on . So should we!

21 Jun 2018 14:49:06
Fintytint. Did you still cheer for gazza after what he done? Give yourself peace mate.

21 Jun 2018 14:54:31
Well said colster. the lad made a big mistake but he deserves another chance. Some fans seem to have forgot gazza was involved in a domestic incident as well if my memory serves me right. But that's never brought up when we are praising him. Flanaghan is the best full back at the club now.

21 Jun 2018 15:18:06
The guy is here to play football not be judged by us mere fans.
Give the lad a break, all these fans on here who are sitting at home polishing thier bloody halo. Get a grip.

21 Jun 2018 15:19:14
mistakes? yes. Kicked a woman on the ground? No.
So cause Gary McCallister says its ok then we shouldn't judge him?
I have came across it a few times in my life and with everyone of them i can tell you these guys do not rehabilitate. So i make my judgement on experience as you are entitled to accept him as you personally may have different experiences/ opinions.
Lets just remember we were quick to brand stan collymore for what he done i don't see how this is different.

21 Jun 2018 15:29:45
Don’t go and watch him then simple!

21 Jun 2018 15:57:49
fintytint

He kicked a woman which is shocking, said woman married Flanagan, she also did not press any charges, but the police followed up due to CCTV footage.

Nobody is saying violence against women is okay because Mcallister says so, but he is that much of a horrible person that the woman he kicked chose to commit to marriage with him.

What he did was wrong and always will be, i'll judge him on hi footballing ability as long as he behaves himself during his time at our club.

21 Jun 2018 16:18:19
Well my wife has just went through me for not giving someone another chance.
I do however have personal experience with this type of crime and it still hurts, so I have an instant reaction to anyone that raises a hand to a woman.
So as the wife commands I will give the boy a chance.

21 Jun 2018 16:34:51
Well said finty!

21 Jun 2018 16:36:52
If the player has held his hands up and, accepted the punishment, and he has shown genuine remorse then why shouldn't he be able to carry on with his job and his life,
Are you saying that everyone who has committed a crime should not be able to carry on with his life in a normal way, if that was the case there would be a lot of people out there who are not working and who couldn't provide for their families, even hardened criminals are given rehabilitation to get a job and fit back into society

21 Jun 2018 16:42:02
I was disgusted when I read what Flanagan did. But now that he's signed I'll just have to trust in Gerrard and McAllisters wisdom and believe that he is truely remorseful for his actions. So let's get behind him and give hime a second chance

21 Jun 2018 16:48:47
Fair play to you finty

21 Jun 2018 21:18:36
Yes fair play dingy I'm sure a lot of people have made one mistake in life, I'm sure he will regret it and learned from it .
He will definitely get abuse from all our opposition this year but what I have seen of him, he will be a great signing .

21 Jun 2018 23:56:43
Ched Evans and also made mistakes involving females. Do they fall under the one mistake statement and deserve a second chance? (genuine question)

Realise its easy to say being opposition fan looking for an excuse to downplay a lad that was and still could be a damn good player but the two I mentioned above are exact same! Where is the line drawn?

We've taken similar stick regarding morals of Griffiths, Tonev (who never played again after accusations) and others in the past.

We all as fans make excuses for our own. But what real excuses are there for a man privileged enough to be a footballer earning a money normal folk could only dream of. And not to mention that same very privilege is the only reason he ain't in jail!

21 Jun 2018 23:57:12
Fair enough finty! Onwards and upward.

21 Jun 2018 12:59:10
One happy bear. i'm loving the way gary mac and sg are going about our business. The signing so far have on paper got some steel about them. So many times last season esp against the unclean we where bullied and heads went down 2 easily.

Not since the late great big jock souness and sir walter have we had a focus on fitness grit and die for the badge attitude. I think if sg and mark A can get another CB and a big tough 6 foot plus centre forward and poss another wingers stroke attacking midfielder or an animal tough tough tackling centre mid then i think we will be there.

i said in a earlier post last season we basically lost the league down to the lose of our 2 home old firm games and that was with a team that at times throughout the season had 2 deal with 2 new managers and a lack of leadership on the park. i'm my mind that doesn't equate to them being miles ahead of us.

So let's get f***** right into them everyone of them.

21 Jun 2018 13:16:10
Your not wrong but remember Celtic dropped 6 points against Hibernian and Aberdeen after the split and it's safe to say that was no accident just saying

21 Jun 2018 13:24:57
Stewart I for one have been sick of Rangers Hop skip and jump style training over the last few years. So glad to see players treated with respect but at the same time having to sweat buckets to get fitness levels up. IMO that is what pre-season is about. Bonding and fitness. The actual football training and tactical preparation should become more of the focus when they are back at the Hummel Centre.
Anyway so far this summer all positive for me regarding the Gers.

21 Jun 2018 16:06:11
These signings are more like it. Looking good. Thank god, I couldn't watch the likes of holt halliday herrera etc anymore. No harm to them but the majority were never going to be good enough to get us to where we wanted to be. Good luck to them. Two ST next please👍

21 Jun 2018 12:56:12
Just seen someone say we have 15 that have left, anyone got a list handy?
Bates, Pena, dodo, miller I cannot think of the others

21 Jun 2018 13:13:43
a list of 15 would probably include the loan returns like Cummings and Martins.

21 Jun 2018 13:16:52
Holt O'Halloran Dalcio

21 Jun 2018 14:13:17
Miller
Krancjar
Dodoo
Wilson
Bates
Ohalloran
Goss
Martin
Cummings
Holt loan
Pena loan
Kelly
Dalcio
Neman
All wore the jersey took wages.
I still see more going, Halliday, Hodson, Cardozo, Herrera forrester. Mayb Tav Wallace and fods

21 Jun 2018 14:35:21
Did Nemane not leave in January? I'm sure it was only a 6 month loan.

21 Jun 2018 16:11:06
Get wallace on that list Jboy, never a captain or a leader and john is a far better player than wallace. Yip wallace stuck by us, (forever grateful), doesn't make him a captain, a leader, or a better player tho👍

21 Jun 2018 16:59:45
Still think Wallace has a place in the squad and think with him and John we have great competition at left back

21 Jun 2018 18:26:23
Wallace to stay

21 Jun 2018 11:22:13
Sorry to hear of the passing of Johnny Hubbard aged 87. RIP penalty king and legend.

21 Jun 2018 12:28:54
R. I. P JOHNNY

21 Jun 2018 13:17:24
Someone actually disagrees that I’m sorry that Johnny Hubbard had died.

21 Jun 2018 13:39:10
That's the great unwashed for you .

21 Jun 2018 15:06:33
RIP Johnny Hubbard. Was one of my late dad's heroes that he would talk about, as well as Young, Shearer Baxter, and all the great Rangers we have been privileged to watch play for our amazing football club. More heroes to emerge this season. # let's go!

21 Jun 2018 11:19:21
Meant to add the my post that Dorrans is someone I’d consider selling IF he doesn’t prove himself by the end off the transfer window, if he can then great as he was a quality player for West Brom and Norwich.

1 more thing. This isn’t a rumour it’s just suggestion a realistic name, think we should look into signing Massimo Lugogeo

21 Jun 2018 11:24:11
Completely made a mess off this post, sent it by accident as I dropped my phone my accident lol, what I was saying was we should look to bring in massimo luongo off QPR, quality Centrel Midfielder who can also play as a attacking midfielder and at the World Cup with Australia, think he’s in the last year off his contract so wouldn’t cost a lot either maybe £2-3 million, like I said in the botched post it isn’t a rumour jsut a suggestion as he’d be a real step up in class

21 Jun 2018 11:11:59
With Jon Flanagan Rumored deal to be joining us near complete, thought I’d give the list off players I feel we still need to sell

Foderinham
Hodson
Cardoso
Hailliday
Herrera
Windass ( only if a fair offer comes in )

Realistically Cardoso Herrera and Hodson will likely leave, Hailliday not too sure as I doubt there are many clubs after him ( if any ) windass doubt it unless a good offer comes in, would say Fod leaving is also very likely since we mcgregor in and Alnwick we really don’t need him and with mccrorie coming through I don’t see the point in keeping him if we can get £1-3 million for him I’d sell and use the money to either put towards bringing in a quality winger

21 Jun 2018 11:19:04
Windass will be a key player in Gerrard's team.

Regardless of what people think of him, his stats show he was one of our most influential players during a dysfunctional season (putting it lightly) .

People like to moan about him shirking out of tackles etc, I don't understand this argument tbh? he's a forward, we don't want our more skilful players flying into tackles and ending up injured, he assists and scores goals and I'm willing to bet he will continue to do that next season.

21 Jun 2018 11:19:49
Why so many fans want windass sold

I hope lad stays personally i think lads a desent playerbangs in a goal or 2 sets up a few too

And with stevie g here he might get the best out of him along with the rest of them who only gave 80% in a game last season

21 Jun 2018 11:22:19
Not sure I'd get rid of Cardoso it's not as if he would be first choice reserve but as bit part player and already on the wage bill.

21 Jun 2018 11:27:38
I hope windass proves me wrong but regardless if a good offer came in we should definitely consider it imo

21 Jun 2018 11:32:50
Don't expect windass to fly onto tackles just not shirk out of every 50/ 50

21 Jun 2018 11:46:31
It's good to see we have trimmed the fat down we just need to offload Herrera Cardoso Forrester and Halliday and replace them with Reece Burke, Adam Armstrong and a quality winger/ attacking mid so maybe Harry Wilson or Ben Woodburn

21 Jun 2018 11:47:12
Oh and Hodson we look set to have replaced already with Flanagan all but on the books

21 Jun 2018 11:55:14
Why u all moaning for a winger we have plenty as it is what we need is a couple of strikers and maybe another cb .
we have the fUll backs sorted if Flanagan signs he can cover both sides another cb and 2 strikers will be more than enough

with DC JM and others capable of covering the wings let sergi and Glen the youngsters a chance after all what's the youth for BuT to be given a chance . the squad has changed and i think let's see and then wait to near the end if window to grab a few bargains after world cup is done

21 Jun 2018 12:02:11
Is Alnwick not away?

21 Jun 2018 12:07:43
We need shot of Forrester, waste of space and a wage

21 Jun 2018 12:41:22
My cousin lives in Leeds and now watches them. He asked me about Windass back in January and I told him he was great for 20 mins a game then disappears. It's not just that he shirks tackles he simply looks disinterested no off the ball runs no covering just zilch. He can look a bit chubby hopefully he'll do better now S. G. is getting them fit. I have no doubt Windass is a very good player we need him to be involved for 90 mins.

21 Jun 2018 12:42:29
This season we have so much to prove we need to finish as strong as possible I understand Middleton and Atakayi need game time but I'd much rather loan them out to Falkirk or Partick come January

21 Jun 2018 16:50:41
So many people on this want us to get rid of Tav, Windass and Morelas. I think we might have been relegated last season if these 3 weren't in our team. We should be looking at improving the other 8 players in our starting 11, which we are doing. I honestly think these 3 will be flying for us next season.

21 Jun 2018 10:36:39
Going to Blackpool in July the last time was 15 years ago and we went to a rangers boozer, anyone know if it's still there my 5 year old daughter is desperate to see it.

21 Jun 2018 10:40:17
There was one two guys that had one in tradeston opened years ago that is now closed. Another one opened a while back called the gallant pioneer that is still open.

21 Jun 2018 10:44:23
if it's the one just up from the prom then yeah mate still there was there last year with my missus and walked past it early bells so wasn't open to point in for a pint.

21 Jun 2018 10:46:28
I go to blackpool once a year and have never came across a rangers pub. I've never actually looked for one though tbf so it may still be there. Just Google it mate.

21 Jun 2018 10:59:47
It is called the Jaggy Thistle, I think it has relocated to Queen Street, by the way it was in top 50 roughest pubs in the U. K. list,
But its a good Rangers pub, I enjoyed a few good nights in there,

21 Jun 2018 12:20:53
Jaggy thistle has been knocked down for years

21 Jun 2018 13:16:51
Came across it by accident years ago was hoping to watch second leg of our European game in it, staying in the big blue hotel so hopefully that's a good omen

21 Jun 2018 13:56:06
yes I know that the old Jaggy Thistle in York Street has been demolished, but I believe it has reopened on Queen Street

21 Jun 2018 10:36:30
Looking forward to playing many games with these 3 “lads” talking about Murphy, Haliday and Arfield.

21 Jun 2018 10:50:37
What?

21 Jun 2018 12:56:54
I think it's an indicator that great Johnny Hubbard, a friend, a brother and neighbour who I felt honoured to visit, was only SA player to make first team. I genuinely feel SA is untapped resource for gers going forward.

Mate of mine met some of team in Spain yesterday. Got a photo with Rossiter, Murphy, Arfield and Haliday. Apparently preseason going really well and the players are very impressed with the new regime. Apparently Haliday may be staying as he is a popular character among the players. Rossiter told my mate he is

who said this?

I can see Halliday staying purely due to a lack of interest from other clubs. Tries hard but just isn't very good.

Since the rumour mills are being as ridiculous as always. One of the rumours I'm crossing my fingers for is that selling Tav may open up the opportunity to pay Wilshires wages. He was earning somewhere between £60K and £80K per week (between £3.1 and £4.1M a year) . If we sell Tav (£3.5m plus Approx £500k per year wages), I would use that money for Wilshires wages. I reckon he would enjoy a spell away from the EPL since all the negative press surrounding him is about him never reaching his potential and injury proneness (even though he has played injury free for the past two seasons) . Of course its all conjecture and hearsay and a dash of wishful thinking on my part and yeah, of course he will attract clubs down south, but Imagine if we sign him for 3 years and sell him back to the EPL next summer, we would make a huge profit on a player that wouldn't command a transfer fee.

Again, just wishful thinking, selling Tav and bring him in on a package that suits both parties, (Rangers not loosing any money due to Tav sale, Wilshire earning the same as he was last season, and playing regularly for trophies) makes a lot of sense to me.

Anywho. just a thought.

According to reports Wilshire was offered £100k a week to stay at Arsenal which was lower than his previous wage. There is no way he will come up here and we couldn’t afford those type of wages.

21 Jun 2018 09:35:42
You want to sell tag and use all the money plus more to pay wages on one player for a year? Behave

Tav *

Selling one of our best players to fund the wages of a guy who has ankles made of glass, in the hope he has a storming season and we can sell him down south.
So what happens if he gets injured like he has most seasons and we are stuck with this guy on a 3 year contract?
Not to mention the disharmony it would cause when we have one guy earning 4 times our highest present earner.
I would rather we concentrate all our medical resources on Rossitier as I believe with a solid, fully fit season he will be just as good as Jack Wilshire would be for us.

21 Jun 2018 12:56:12
Wilshire knocks back £100 k a week and is he in Russia?
I wouldn’t take him on a free paying him minimum wage.
Like 99% of all English players in EPL overrated, overpaid.
EPL is all smoke and mirrors.

Transfer window going well so far, about 8 out and 6/ 7 in of much better quality.

I still think there'll be another 3 or 4 in and out. Think we'll see us bolster cb's, winger and cf positions.

What is different from the previous close seasons is we're doing it the right way, replacing guys that were never good enough with either first team players, or players who will push the first team for a start.

There will still be a core of 4 or 5 from last season who will be first team, so not a total rip it up.

The bench should be a lot stronger too, which can't be understated.

Also, I nice blend of youth and experience.

Positive so far?

21 Jun 2018 09:36:07
Hopefully Halliday, Forrester, Cardoso and Herrera will be out with another 3 or 4 coming in. Would be nice to see a few of the younger players integrated into the first team also. We will be far stronger this season and as you say Mols bench going to be a lot stronger. It also looks like we will have genuine competition for all positions which again bodes well going forward

Think upgrade in fitness culture has been plus all round. Gone are the days of Jock Wallace and Gullane. The team seem to want to train for SG.
