What's the opinion on Lawrence Shankland now? I've read mixed reports before. I personally would have bought him from Ayr United but unfortunately his value has increased now. What's your views lads?

I would honestly sign lawrence shankland as he could well end up being another rangers legendary goalscorer. The thing is its a low risk signing and he just could be the next big goalscorer within scottish football. I think we should most definitely take a chance and sign him, because yes he could end up like nicky clark but he also could end up being the next kris boyd, ally mccoist etc! Young shankland could take his game to the next level by working beside and learning of the ultimate goalscoring professional, jermain defoe.

I'd sign him. Think he's far better than Nicky Clark and as said above could well be the next Boyd, McCoist. I've also read that Celtic have sent scouts to watch him a few times recently.

No chance. He just doesn't have the capability. He's 24, and is nearer to Nicky Clark on the spectrum than to Kris Boyd. As for McCoist, the boy is light years away from that. We really have to raise our ambitions higher for the future.

With players like Kamara it's always a bit of a gamble. Sell him now for, let's say, £10m or wait until after the Euros hoping to get more. But if he has a mediocre tournament, or Finland have a mediocre tournament and he is tainted with that, his value might decrease. Because he plays for a country that might not do well, I'd disregard the Euros and agree with those on here who would take a good fee for him now, as he is one of the valuable players who would be slightly easier to replace. To sell a £50k player for £10m a year later might be an offer we cannot refuse. I think he is a top player, but any bid north of £8m must be taken very seriously.

Need some help/ advice folks.
My wife is giving me a present of the Braga game following my graduation from university (at my age lol) .

The public sale tickets are not until the 6th of February going by the website. What's my best way of obtaining one?

I'm totally with you on this onewaltersmith, but like gerrard said himself yesterday, if a crazy money offer were to come in for morelos,
barisic, kamara etc, rangers may indeed sell! It would need to be an eye popping offer though, i'd imagine mate. Don't want to lose any of our first team players but i honestly think kamara would be the easiest one to be able to do without, as opposed to losing either morelos or barisic, imo. I must state i rate kamara very highly and wouldn't want him sold, but merely, hypothetically stating my honest opinion, if one were to be sold.

Celtic fans like to go on about our losses. If you look at their latest results, without selling their best Players, their losses would be similar to ours. We will need to sell, but hopefully can wait until the summer. Players would go down as legends, hopefully that makes them want to stay. And like others have said, the euros will add to their value.

Morelos not leaving this month regardless of any fee bid. Likewise Kamara and Barasic unless bids of £35m received. All available to leave in summer if the right valuation offer received.

Thinking we get rid of Middleton Jones Barker Murphy and Hastie on loan. Already sold Grezda and most wanting rid of Ojo who are we going to play right-wing? And who would play left if Kent gets injured?
Personally I think we will keep Ojo Jones and Barker for second half of season. With all 3 moving on in the summer. Hastie and Middleton I think will go out on loan for rest of season and accessed in the summer. Murphy will be sold if offer comes in and if not will be loaned out for rest of season.
This is only what I think would like to hear what you all think.

I'd get rid of Barker and Middleton. Maybe Ojo. Keep JJ and Murphy. Another number 10 and a LB for me.

Id keep murphy on the books however would like to see him loaned out to a top 6 side in our division. If we are loaning out it would be good to see our players face them a couple of times in the second half of the season while not being able to face us.
Same goes for barker for me, i think middleton probably offers more than him and can be a decent impact sub.
That would leave us with Jones, Ojo, Kent and Stewart as natural wide players and would give us options with aribo and arfield.
Hope hastie can come into the fold next season however would rather see him on a more productive loan probably playing up here.
Does doch have a future i'm not sure. I feel he could be useful cover still if we were to pick up a few injuries or if we were to lose kamara in jan.

I would also like to see Murphy stay but he is definitely not getting a look in the now and doesn't seem to be in Steve G thoughts as not proved his fitness. This is the reason I think he will be moved on as soon as possible also he is a high earner for a squad player.

The stuck other way round for me, Barker is such a poor player with no heart and little skill. I watched him very closely in Dubai he offered virtually nothing at all.
Unfortunately injury has finished Murphy at the top level.

John25, I believe Barker was a Gerrard signing while Jones wasn't. Its only my opinion but I feel Jones is a 1 trick pony, yes he can run but that's it, his final ball is poor. His tackle and red card against Celtic and his alleged dive in Dubai wasn't very professional. So for those reasons I think Jones will be moved on.

Think Jones has to stay as he should have had time to realise what it takes to be and stay a Rangers player. There is definitely a player there you just need to look at his international games. Hopefully he can prove his fitness and show his worth surrounded by quality team mates just like at international level.

The stuck both were sighed by Steve G. Yes Allan was DOF but wouldn't be signed if Gerrard didn't want them.
Both signed as was Hastie and Kent by Steve G. All are young and have potential to improve and reach a greater sell on value.

On Ojo,
Candeias ran his baws off for the club, yet Ojo was handed the jersay without any fight and proving to the fans he deserved it, that seemed odd to me. Moving forward he struggled and likewise Aribo as formed dipped. Gerrard it seems was figuring what was Aribo's best position, was it a fluke that its worked out for him on an attacking right position, who knows as we badly needed someone to show up thier as Barker, Stewart, Jones and an injured Arfield weren't getting selected. Kamara Davis Jack is my favoured mid 3 anyhow as thier is real cohesion within that 3. Imo it's been luck combined with Aribo's ability that's seen him selected on the right of a fwd 3
I also think Ojo will be sent back as we don't need him once Jones is fit and Barker has some coaching under him.
For Jan, I'd love us to go and get a big no nonsense 6.4ft fwd to add to our options. Can picture Tav and Borna whipping them in😂💪😜💙.

Candeias if he had been up for the fight would have had that position back by now. however he did nt. Ojo is nt better than him, Barker is dreadful. even yesterday for ojo goal he ran straight at a bang average defender and lost possession. jack on the ball to win it back and play in ojo. Aribo is a player but not for that position long term need someone who plays more direct and runs at defenders like Kent. Jones is our best bet as it stands but I have a feeling Gerrard does nt like him after the first old firm and may let him go. I hope not as I would like to see Kent/ Morelos/ Jones vs most sides in SPL.

Candeias wasnt shipped out. He chose to leave as he wasnt up for fighting for his place. He would still be a starter if he had chosen to stay.

I’m in agreement with Coldo - shocker - would definitely have Candeias back. Ojo looked good against Tashkent but that’s very limited opposition. There’s a player and goals in there somewhere but I’m not sure what’s missing, if it’s drive or what?

Last season Kent didn't really kick on until after winter break. Only showed glimpses.
Let's give Ojo until end of season as he could have same effect.

For such a hard working player, Candeias did indeed leave due to not wanting to earn his place. What a contradiction and frankly entitled attitude. Don't want that kind of player at Ibrox.
