Don't know if the majority of fellow bears will agree with this, but i most definitely think gerrard will start with a different starting 11 in the celtic game, to the team that starts against kilmarnock on boxing day. The team i think will start against kilmarnock will be-
Mcgregor
Tav
Goldson
Katic
Barisic
Arfield
Jack
Kamara
Aribo
Defoe
Kent
The team i think will start against celtic will be-
Mcgregor
Tav
Goldson
Katic
Barisic
Arfield
Jack
Davis
Aribo
Morelos
Kent
However i do think that both davis and morelos will get at least 20 minutes game time against kilmarnock in view of both starting the old firm game! What's other bears thoughts on the two starting teams?

23 Dec 2019 21:55:04
Supercoop. Think Jones will get game time from the bench against Kilmarnock. Apart from that agree with your comments on team for Killie. Agree Morelos will start against Celtic although Davis may just feature from the bench.

23 Dec 2019 23:27:02
I reckon morelos will be back in for killie game for the hour then defoe last 30, Davis will get 30 under his belt then start against them. Reckon aribo/ arfield as good as they've both been recently one will make way at the piggery, kamara and Jack are the guys to break up the play and keep us in possession alongside Davis.

24 Dec 2019 07:05:21
Same team against Hibs. Defoe has earned a starting place. Quickly out the traps again. 4 nil Rangers. Oooh, I feel a wee fiver on that score line.

24 Dec 2019 10:30:41
If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. We’ve been excellent against Motherwell and Hibs so SG only selection worry should be who starts up top.
If I’m being picky I’d maybe swap Davis for Arfield.

24 Dec 2019 11:57:03
Cant argue about those sides that much. i'd probs stick with defoe for the killie game also.

24 Dec 2019 15:18:13
Alfredo is not a bad sub to come on.

23 Dec 2019 17:46:59
Wee game for you fellow bears . name your top 2 rangers players you personally have seen play in these.

1. Goalkeeper

2. Defence

3. Midfield

4. Striker

And lastly out of all the current rangers players pick 1 you think couldve been good enough to replace someone from our 9iar season

2 . Gough / amoruso

3. Laudrup/ gazza

4. Mccoist / hately

And jack for 9iar season.

23 Dec 2019 18:30:25

23 Dec 2019 20:33:03
1.mcgregor goram
2.gary Stevens gough
3.gazza laudrup
4.mccoist hately

23 Dec 2019 20:41:40

Gough/ Brown
Gascoigne/ Souness
McCoist/ Laudrup.

23 Dec 2019 21:57:14

23 Dec 2019 21:57:28
Before there injuries Mols n Durrant.

23 Dec 2019 23:42:58
Goram. Klos

Butcher Gough

Sounds Cooper

Mccoist. Mols.

23 Dec 2019 23:59:07
Klos / Goram
Jardine / Gough
Baxter / Gascogne
Mols / Laudrup

Morelos has a chance to become a legend depends how long he stays but is good enough to hold a place in our 9iar, Jack is well on his way to getting there and would get his name on the team sheet also.

24 Dec 2019 00:09:25
Doiger, that's the exact same as id have typed, except id have big haitlay over mccoist.

24 Dec 2019 06:33:04
Woods/ Goram
Gough/ Numan
Gascoigne/ Laudrup
McCoist/ Morales.

24 Dec 2019 08:48:06

1. Goalkeeper
Mcgregor / Klos

2. Defence
Numan / Amaruso

3. Midfield
Ferguson / Davis

4. Striker
Morelos / Mols

Slightly younger generation here so missing some of the 'Greats'.

24 Dec 2019 12:33:25
Doiger, cheers mate, i hope you and your family have a good xmas, and the game on the 29th gives us all a right good nerday.

24 Dec 2019 17:43:57
Goram/ McGregor
Gough/ Butcher
Gazza/ Ferguson
Laudrup/ McCoist

Didn’t even need to think about it, those just jumped right out.

24 Dec 2019 17:45:11
Also, I love Morelos but people having him ahead of Hateley, McCoist, Mols or Laudrup at this point are off their heads.

24 Dec 2019 20:54:55
Brusedbear, how you doing mate? , i remember i used to look for your posts on the celtic rumours, quite a buzz mate, are you barred as I've not seen any posts from you on there lately, mind you I've stopped looking at there site, as they don't sound like supporters to me, too venemous, on anyhing related to our club for my likens.

24 Dec 2019 21:09:13
Theswagsman, i put big mark woth morelos, for his heigh, nobody can argue with your part regarding ally, the goals and trophies ally won our club will never be beaten, but morelos in my opinion is probably the best striker I've seen in my time of following the club, morelos is a bully, the guy occupies the oposition defence on his own, yae can see morelos has godd the 4 defender terified of him, the slightest sighting of goalmouth and morelos hasna did, most on target, but the power behind his shot is frietning, i. m. h. o.

24 Dec 2019 21:14:40
Got the defenders trified, has a dig, as above post.

23 Dec 2019 17:48:49
Cant wait for the 29th. ticket sitting safely up high away from kids. antiseptic wipes at the ready for entering parkhead. predictions against killie and them anyone?

4 - 0 against killie

5 - 0 against them🎅🎅🇬🇧🇬🇧

How goods tav been the last couple games? I think he's been brilliant.

23 Dec 2019 19:07:04
Oaft, Tav has been brilliant? Really? He has improved but certainly not brilliant. He needs to have a look up before he crosses the ball. His defensive positions at times need improving. As I said he's been decent, certainly room for improvement.

23 Dec 2019 20:03:11
I fancy rangers to beat kilmarnock 3-0 and rangers to beat celtic 2-1.

23 Dec 2019 21:18:28
Hope your right Supercoop, that would be perfect end to the year.

23 Dec 2019 21:38:31
Stuck, your view is stuck in the past and needs an update.

Not sure of the agenda but our fans should realise how much Tav brings to our team - you won’t realise how good he is until he’s gone.

23 Dec 2019 22:03:37
Are Kilmarnock no a bit of a bogey team fur us I'd say 2 1 n 3 1 to us against smeltic.

23 Dec 2019 22:14:01
DK19, it's only my opinion. Certainly not stuck in the past . I did say in my post that Tav has improved and there is certainly room for improvement.

23 Dec 2019 23:12:33
For me tav has been exceptional past three or four games . seems to be giving that little bit extra now, and his confidence back . Well done to Stevie for sticking by him where it might have been easier to go with the doubters and drop him . I even think he is worth his captaincy if the team .
Just goes to show . in Stevie we should trust 👍.

24 Dec 2019 00:13:15
Stop the9., both games, 2/0 if i pass the bookies tomorrow i will stick a wee bet on, just for the fun of it, i will wait to see odds for the bet, before deciding my wager.

24 Dec 2019 09:40:08
5-0 Rangers against Killie and 4-1 at the Piggery to us, with Morelos to score a hat trick.

24 Dec 2019 12:06:08
If only Doiger.

24 Dec 2019 21:11:30
Stop the 9, was at bookies today mate, a wee glove on both 2/ 0 victories,

23 Dec 2019 17:42:34
Reading about jermain defoe this morning and how much HE wants to finish his career at rangers. that's superb news for us and i'm very confident that once his bournemouth contract finishes in june, it will be practically a formality, that he signs permanently with rangers to end his playing career with us. Then he'll more than likely be our striker coach full time.

The wee thoroughbred has fallen massively in love with our club and our supporters, who absolutely adore him! Even at his tender age of 37 years old now, you can see he most definitely looks after himself and his the physique of a 27 year old. He's a model pro to all at ibrox and is a massive reason why morelos is getting better and better. No wonder learning from one of the best english strikers, of modern times. Defoe is a natural in front of goal and a goalscoring machine, STILL!

23 Dec 2019 19:02:53
SGL he can sign in January.

23 Dec 2019 19:11:09
SGL, great to hear regarding JD but in all honesty there are not many players who haven't enjoyed the Rangers experience. You hear of players leaving then regretting it. What's not to like?

23 Dec 2019 20:34:56
Lots of them still love the club. Its s high pressure environment though, being expected to win every game. Been a good few good players just haven't been able to handle the pressure.

23 Dec 2019 21:19:55
Let's not forget Defoe sitting on
A nice earner for not l lot of effort what's not to like.

23 Dec 2019 21:41:06
Macbow, pretty sour opinion and not worthy of one of our players.

Poor.

23 Dec 2019 23:19:55
Yea macdow . Defoe is worth every penny, and keeps himself prime ready to go when called upon. don't think that’s a fair . realistic or honest assessment of the guys efforts for our team .
Are you a smellies supporter by any chance? . Not belittling your opinion of which you are of course entitled to o, but it would make your post seem a little more sensible.

24 Dec 2019 00:19:43
S.g. l. Most players that done a good job for us seem to fall in love with our club, and speak well of rangers fc, fans, everything, most say its the first result they look for at the weekend still. your part about defoe, what more can be added, the guys amazing, always has been a great goal scorer.

24 Dec 2019 02:31:00
John25 , i think he could sign a pre contract in january, but i think the club will let his contract run out, so as it doesn't cost us, that way it would only be a contract signing on fee we paid defoe, and ide imagine its all been spoke about and sorted out, because defoe has stated he loves our club, and wants to end his carrer at ibrox.

24 Dec 2019 16:51:36
Agree paul.

24 Dec 2019 17:27:41
Doesnt cost us if he signs a pre-contract either.

24 Dec 2019 18:30:42
jd loves jimmy bell.

24 Dec 2019 21:19:17
Herewego, , maybe if we ask him to sign a pre contract, his parent club, could start looking for a wee transfer for him, with the thought of recalling him, i always thought that was the way it worked, maybe ime wrong mate,

24 Dec 2019 22:28:45
Herewego, the parent club thretening a recall, just to get some sort of fee for him, i sgould have posted that above, but it wasnt until i read my repl back to myself, that i thought ide add this post,

23 Dec 2019 17:35:38
Fellow fans, how many first team players do you think need moved on, squad trimming! This should help any youth player get more time/ coaching on training field. I personally think we will bring in one or two players but probably trim the number of first team players by about 5. Maybe Murphy, docherty, pollster, king, with the likes of barjonas and one or two younger players going on loan.

23 Dec 2019 19:45:18
Murphy looks like he's away although i would like to keep the guy. but him, Firth, Alnwick, polster, grezda, docherty, king back to parent club, herrera can all leave with out having any effect on the squad in the slightest easily saving ourselves 60k plus a week in wages only if people want to buy them i guess talk of foderingham moving on.

24 Dec 2019 02:33:16
Paul86., that 60 grand a week will bring us another couple of good sognings mate, eh.

24 Dec 2019 12:13:27
Doch probs go on loan, ideally see us loan out guys like him, murphy and polster to sides in our league to strengthen them against the other lot. Also can get minutes into them in this league. Doch could also be used as a bargaining chip for some transfers though imo.

23 Dec 2019 13:28:42
I don't believe the refs are against us, or the SFA, we get our fair share of decisions, some right some wrong. Time we just concentrated on following our beloved club as there is no conspiracies.

23 Dec 2019 14:48:57
I don't buy into conspiracies at all BUT something needs to be done about fan behaviour and it's general acceptance or way it's ignored. One week our player hit with a pie, great bants all round and Scottish football have a good laugh. Week after coins and lighters chucked at our striker, main reporting is around a f**king hand gesture he does in reaction! Then the pond life that chucks a glass bottle at borna and the it was actually the English press that make the bigger deal out it! There should be a zero acceptance for chucking ANYTHING at players, otherwise it just escalates as we have seen in the last few weeks.

23 Dec 2019 15:29:32
Snell remember our fans also through stuff on pitches.

23 Dec 2019 15:35:35
Nail on the head snell👏👏👏.

23 Dec 2019 15:45:05
Every club has idiots that do it John. We do seem to be on the receiving end of that more though, especially in the last month and it is all mysteriously quiet in the press.

23 Dec 2019 19:03:55
Not sure it’s that quite.

23 Dec 2019 20:37:44
The press have well covered the throwing at Motherwell and hibs Snell mate. The one that surprised me was the pie that hit tav at Aberdeen, not much made of it as if to say it was only a pie. Imagine it was the bottle that just missed barisic that had been thrown at tav thst night, could have been a sore one.

24 Dec 2019 00:23:44
Snell, cheers mate, i'm not the only one that's noticed, thought i was getting para there, lol. lovl.

23 Dec 2019 11:47:07
Merry Christmas to all our fellow Bears and Eds.

One final question before Xmas tho.

Except for ourselves I can not see any team who can beat the mhanks, if we lose any league games from now till end of the season how can we possibll win the league? .

23 Dec 2019 16:40:55
Merry Xmas blue billy when it comes, in answer to your point I’d say, no, there’s probably no teams that are going to pose a challenge to them outside our club, however I feel there will be a few freak results and they’ll drop points, unfortunately for us, our position is exactly the same.

23 Dec 2019 17:03:12
If that’s the case how did Livingston beat them? And how did Hibs take a point. There’s still a long way left and points will be dropped.

23 Dec 2019 17:38:12
What I’m suggesting blue89 is that no teams are a match for them outside of us, Livingston result was an anomaly is all I’m saying, on paper I don’t think any teams can beat us, however we’ve dropped points (the same as they will) through not being our best, decisions not going our way, incorrect team selection etc.

23 Dec 2019 09:28:58
This time of year hopefully brings a lot of joy to all, bear a thought for those no longer with us, whilst its never a good time to lose a loved on memories seem to stick harder at this time. May i also wish a special greeting to all bears over seas or having to work away from home, who won't be with their families. Finally to those bears who are less fortunate and don't have family to share this special time with, remember as a bear you are never alone. Merry Christmas guys and girls.

23 Dec 2019 10:23:39
and to you geesadodothat. Special thoughts for Fernando Ricksen's family at this time of year. Onwards and upwards Bears and win no. 55 for Fernando this season!

23 Dec 2019 10:35:14
Hope everybody has a great xmas and even better 29th . i was lucky enough to catch my daughters 6th birthday yesterday. But currently sitting in a heliport in bergen ready to go work. brutal.

23 Dec 2019 13:51:59
All the best Paul86, don't work too hard mate.

23 Dec 2019 16:34:44
Merry xmas fellow bears and hopefully a happy 29th.

23 Dec 2019 17:47:16
All the best to bears and bearettes everywhere! Hope 2020 is a happy and prosperous year for you all!

Celtic and Decisions not going Rangers' Way

23 Dec 2019 07:39:01
{Ed's Note - Stewartyyblue has posted a new article entitled, Celtic and Decisions not going Rangers' Way

23 Dec 2019 07:59:15
I fully support and endorse your views Stewartyblue, well said.

23 Dec 2019 09:58:51
Stewart Blue, read your piece with interest and IAH was nothing short of a moan fest. Many blue noses may well agree with you but you had a gripe with anything non Rangers and supported with no viable proof whatsoever that included Tics behaviour as club, team or whatever. We're RFC and don't give a damn bout teams other than gers. What I found laughable, and yes there were laughs was when you asserted Scottish Referees are some secretive Catholic clique hellbent on Rangers destruction. I say again, we are Rangers FC and the only way is to continue winning home/ away/ Europe giving ourselves leverage to stick two fingers to so called Scottish elite. Rant over.

23 Dec 2019 12:08:51
Correct Millerbrandwilson, let’s leave the conspiracy theories and paranoia to the green end of Glasgow, it’s pathetic and we are better than that.

23 Dec 2019 15:57:21
Think you all need to re read what I said at no point have I said there is a conspiracy. What I said is referees from what I have watched so far this season and some of last season. When it comes to a 50/ 50 decision they will not give it in our favour. Imo the main reason for this is the external pressure they are under from celtic as a club its fans and media, that they are pro Rangers and anti Celtic. ( ie the Celtic conspiracy) This is not a conspiracy from my part it's a theory and an observation from what I have witness so far this season.

Millerbrand at no point in my post did I mention religion or insinuate that there is a clique and yes my post is a moan fest as i believe our club isn't getting fair deal from referees. Not because of religion or pro or anti Rangers. Mainly because of external pressure placed on them from the other side of the city.

The consequences for referees for making a questionable decision in our fav is trial by bbc, trial by the media, letters to SFA, Eufa death threats, villiafied on social media, threats to their families. Investigations into what school they went to or the pub they drink in.

So if your looking for viable proof millerbrand read the above factual evidence.

23 Dec 2019 17:49:52
yes refereeing standards are unquestionable.

24 Dec 2019 00:28:11
Stewartyyblue, i posted much the same yesterday, maybe i never worded it as good as you mate, but i got shot to peices, thank god for your post mate, unless like me your paranoid, lol.
