The bold fraz fletcher has said Graham Potter and Gary O'neill have been contacted.

12 Oct 2025 00:32:46
Wouldn't object to either.

12 Oct 2025 00:45:05
We're doomed is it only english managers or managers from championship we can get, what about looking elsewhere, the bodo manager is the calibre a manager we should be trying to get not just accepting anybody, we can't keep getting managers wrong it's set back after set back, danny rohl will
fold under pressure he done it at wednesday at the end. lampard knutsen muscat mccines these are managers we should be linked to not championship dross.

12 Oct 2025 03:43:20
Knutsen doesn't want to leave Bodo because of his cushy deal he has there and Lampard isn't going to leave Coventry that's doing well atm.

Sheff Wed are an absolutely nightmare off-field not paying players etc and their owner is an absolute fruitloop that is why Rohl walked away, Rohl is a very well regarded coach with loads of high level experience Leipzig, Bayern, Germany.

Don't think Potter would handle the pressure at all here, I wouldn't be averse to McKenna or O'Neill.

We as a fanbase need to get behind whoever is brought in, because we simply cannot throw the toys out the pram every time we don't get who we want.

Seen a couple folk on here saying they're open to O'Neil. Have yous seen how successful his managerial career has been he'd be worse then RM.

12 Oct 2025 07:49:32
Find it funny loads don't want Rohl.
He's no hardly managed anyone. He's only been assistant manager.

Same ones who dawned over Davide Ancelotti.

What experience did he have?

Next to nothing.

Same as last time no one hardly wanted Mcinnes or Lampard now desperate for them.

12 Oct 2025 08:04:16
Trueblue. we simply can't get behind Danny Röhl. the first sign of a bit of trouble at wednesday he ran as far away as possible that's not a manager we need with no back bone, he hide away from a challenge, no matter how good he is on a training pitch he isn't strong enough to manage the mess we're in, we need a manager not another experiment. fans are quite right to voice there concerns. i am sure Micheal Beale and russel martin were excellent on a training pitch and look where that got them.

12 Oct 2025 09:22:15
Dougie, it was hardly just 'a bit of trouble' - besides the financial problems with nobody getting paid there was zero communication from owner/ board to Rohl so he had no choice but to walk.

12 Oct 2025 09:25:11
The real problem is Thelwell he is destroying the club doesn't matter who comes in as long as he is there there's a risk of mistakes, repeats and more questionable decisions. Get rid of him and the manager/ coach search miggt be a little easier and flexible he has far too much power at Rangers.

A bit of research and it's pretty obvious why Rohl left by mutual consent prior to the new season starting with Wednesday, not paying his wages, not paying staff wages, not paying players wages, massive debts, triple transfer embargos placed on the club, several players being lined up for sale, Danny was going to end with a heavily depleted team.

Would you stay in a job with a company that could not pay your wages and expect you to work on for nothing while they maybe fixed their debts and that is just one issue, there were many more issues happening at Wednesday with the owner clearly at fault and unable to resolve the debt issue never mind all the other problems, not backing Danny as i don;t really know his record, or know if he will get the nod for the job at Rangers, but he didn't get sacked or leave it was mutual consent over the club debts and non payment of his wages, he done them a favour essentially when he could have asked them to pay him out for the remaining 2 years of his contract.

For Steven to walk away after 2 days of talks, shows the deal for him was very much on, but clearly the owners did not match his request and vision for Rangers going forward, was it the alleged 20 mill for the winter window? or more than that?

Potter done an unreal job with ostersund, Swansea and Brighton. Chelsea and West Ham never really worked out for him. But most managers have struggled there for years now.

12 Oct 2025 11:10:47
I would hardly call what was going on at Wednesday.

12 Oct 2025 11:10:55
A slight bit of trouble.

12 Oct 2025 12:09:41
I've been told Potter, O'Neill are both being considered as well Rohl.

12 Oct 2025 12:55:28
Sky already reported O'Neil and Potter out of the running, thankfully. I wouldn't opposed to McKenna. Did a great job at Ipswich until they reached the EPL. Back to back promotions, reminds me of an Eddie Howe type.
