The main thing is we've kept alfredo morelos at rangers, at least until the end of the season.
Thats fantastic news, as el buffalo is detrimental to our team and the way we play!
Don't care what anyone says, morelos is better than dembele and edouard and his career will show that, when the inevitable comes and he moves on from us! I don't care who agrees or disagrees, because in my opinion, he is our luis suarez! So very similar in style and what they bring to their respective clubs! I honestly reckon we will get easily between £12-£15million for morelos when he does go! Ed, could you do a poll regarding morelos mate? My poll being what do us rangers supporters reckon morelos will eventually be sold from rangers for, ie. under £10million, between £10-£15million, between
£15-£20million or over £20million? Cheers ED!

Simple poll to see who fans would rather have in squad. Personally I would have Docherty and Hardie. I have always liked Davis and Defoe but not sure if they improve the squad.

Davis is very neat and tidy and that is due to age and experience. However Defoe has, so far, failed to live up to expectations but i personally have doubts Hardie can do any better due to Jermaines experience.

Davis miles better than Docherty. Watch a rerun of Wednesday night. The range of passes, the intelligent runs, should have had a penalty. Brings others into the game.
Docherty is a decent player but still learning. Time is on his side.

Lot of nonsense on here about performance last night. Job done in difficult environment and let's move forward. Davis and Defoe should be better for the competitive run out and closer to competing for first team spot. Also good to see Lafferty convert, believe more to come from him this season.

Got to agree ds think coisty hit the nail on the head defoe needs to be more involved in the game come short receive the ball ECT but fairness to him last night he made a good couple of runs where he was wrongly ruled offside. Suppose time will tell and it's only 6 month loan with option of 2 further 6 months.

Defoe is the type of player to not get involved much in the game but his great positional awareness in the box is what makes him so effective. couple of times last night he was in good positions and made some good runs wrongfully called offside. Remember he stills needs to get up to speed.

The reasons are myself and plenty of other Rangers fans take time of work, make child care arrangements etc so that we can follow our team. We also pay good money to watch them. So you would expect Rangers to be at least trying their best so that hopefully we can enjoy both halves of the game.

I think defoe and davis will improve with more game time, its match sharpness that they need. Game of two halves last night, first half on front foot pressing, second half sitting back and inviting them into the game. The team seem to go into panic mode whenever we concede a goal against anyone, steve g needs to sort that out. Have always given Flanagan the benefit of the doubt at left back, but if right back is his position then god help us, he was dreadful last night! Mcauleys legs have gone by half time as well, and I can see why we have signed another right back and goalie. At least we can rest that last nights starting eleven won't be the same at the weekend.

Just shows how much we miss, our most creative players, Tav, Morelos, Kent. I had thought Lafferty/ Defoe would make a good pairing up front, I was well wrong. Been going to Ibrox and following Rangers since 1989/ 90 and Davis is my fav. player for us. My biggest fear of him coming back was he'd turn out to be average or worse, very early days, it's still a worry.

Mass hysteria from some of the other sites after last night. Everybody and his wife moaning about the performance. Even the likes of Craigan offering his opinion as to whether or not Stevie will be "burning" at the second half display. Andy Halliday summed it up when he said the game was won at half time. It was as plain as the nose on his face that the half time team talk comprised mainly of keeping things tight, being careful on the surface and seeing the game out. The non penalty scuppered this a bit but really we were never worried at any point, despite that penalty, the denial of 2 stonewallers and some strange offside decisions. It was all about getting into the next round with the squad injury free. Or is it just me? The playing surface must have been a nightmare. Let's not judge the likes of Flanagan, McAuley and Fod under these circumstances. Surely they have a valid excuse for a bit of mis control?

Have to disagree with Flanagan, he is a bombscare. It's not just been last night where he has had a dodgy game, it most games. Reckon he Stevie G will try get shot of him in the summer that's maybe why the american has came in.

Other than that, it was always going to be one of those games last night that we needed to win regardless. And despite the performance, we won fairly comfortably.

Ok, what did tonights game tell us?
1.Flannagan is crap no matter where he plays
2.Defoe offers nothing.
3.Gerrard does not have a tactic in his head.
4.The officials are an embarrassment to the Scottish game
5.Cowdenbeith were the better team in the second half against unmotivated players.
