Thanks for the service, would like him to stick around but on reduced terms. Based on he came to us on a Bosman so was a bumper package initially. And let’s be honest he is already paid too much for our league and budget.
We will need to recruit well in the summer but it can be done.

Personally i'd hope big lunny stays with us but if he wants to move on then that's the big fella's choice and we except it, move on and replace him, which we will ? Ipswich town look like they're going up to the english premier league and would be a terrific move for john lundstram, at this stage in his career ?I'm led to believe that talks between rangers and lunny stalled because of length of contract ie. rangers have offered him a 2 year deal and he wants a 3 year deal ?We certainly won't offer him what potentially ipswich town or southampton could offer him in wages and of course length of contract ?Time will tell and either way we get on with it ???.

Id prefer a 2 year contract for him as well after seeing the decline in goldson on a huge contract. that's the one thing why i'm now doubting this. Would lundstram get in celtics midfield? he's an important player for us right now but i believe we could get better. Winning the league is imperative so we can replace adequately.

If he goes, he goes! Even though I think he's been our best midfielder since PC came in, he's not irreplaceable.

Up to manager but going with his statements he wants him too stay around, the club has got to start bringing in youth and selling on tho but we can’t change the full team come summer.

If he stays he stays, if he is given a better offer by Southampton or Ipswich and chooses to move back South then that is his call. Clement is attributed with saying that he wants him to stay, if either the Board won't meat the player's terms or Lundstram decided to go then it is up to the Club to provide Clement with the funds needed to bring in a better replacement.
It will be an interesting summer in any event with a clearout needed, and thankfully most of those that should move on already on frees or on loan elsewhere.
The incoming players will be significantly more important than any of those leaving.

Lunny playing well under clement, coincided with his contract coming to an end. My inlaws in sheffield couldn't have predicted this situation with more accuracy if they had a crystal ball. he's been really good this season, but for the wage he gets, so he should.

The club can get much better than him, he's like McGregor got several bomb scares a game in him and his first touch is like a clearance.

Tjm lunny has been here almost 3 seasons and I remember 1 old firm game he was our mom the others you mention have players in way less and none are looking for 30 odd grand a week.

Turning down a contract with us likely playing in the champions league to sign with Ipswich who most likely will still be a championship team would show where his priorities are. However, i don’t believe Lunny is interested in going anywhere and will sign a new deal for around 28kp/ w including signing on fee on a two year deal with club option for a third as i previously posted.
