Gonna get tech here and it won't be popular. Three built stands were built Akor perforated brick, cheap, short life etc. Stands build shelf life expiring and shows. We built three new stands in just over season and shows. We need true build, rel smaller modelled on Wembley. Long lasting and a monument dwarfing/belittling piggery. Easily 80k capacity. Given high demand I see filling ST.

Miller how about we build from ground up, at a slightly different venue. Near the river Clyde
Would be controversial.

Only fill if doing well.

On the capacity side of the argument, there are ways to minimise lower attendance, seen somewhere else, can't remember where, but the top tier can be closed and large banners were placed all round and you wouldn't feel as if stadium not full, got to remember building practice has changed a lot, many ways to achieve things but think a 65k would be a good number.
As long as there is a hooters bar and so I can't be accused of anything there could be a dangalies bar for the ladies and a couple of the guys on here. ?.

John if possible we could take the main stand down brick by brick and rebuild it on new site, I can borrow my cousins transit to help with the moving.
On a serious note those who keep saying we wouldn't fill it, look at why it's been like that this season, you need to speculate to accumulate, hopefully the mistakes of this season are condemned to the history books.
We move upwards on onwards.
Enhanced income on matchdays is the only realistic way of achieving this long term.

Shota issue is not filling it, we have a large waiting list, all Rangers want is too sell the season tickets.

John
Don't think controversial. Parking facilities round Ibrox crap. Only issue is Main stand probs most easily identifiable in Scotland and so demure. Hard gers to move wholesale.

milerbrandwilson, work started in 1978 and completed in 1981 that's a good bit over one year.

I think we should be looking to do similar to Arsenal. Retain the land around Ibrox and build a new housing area. Turn the old main stand into something special in terms of the housing. Maintain it as a way for the club to keep making money for years.
A new all purpose stadium would be ideal, as close to Ibrox and govan as possible of course but we are Glasgow Rangers not govan Rangers so as long as it stays in southside of Glasgow this should be acceptable
A new all purpose stadium of 80,000 should be the dream.

I'm old school and most definitely want us remaining at our beloved/historical, Ibrox stadium ? Everyone entitled to their own opinions right enough ?.

Yeah I wouldn't want us leaving Ibrox somethings are just critical to your identity as a football club.
