ED, if you would be so kind my friend and with a lot of us feeling good about our country at last after 27 years making the world cup tournament again,
could you run a poll for me to gauge what we feel about supporting Scotland. ?
My poll being 'do you support Scotland and always want them to do well or do you not support Scotland and couldn't care less how they do' cheers again ED and always very much appreciated pal ?.

I'm 33, grew up supporting Scotland, my first memory of football was us scoring against Brazil in '98. But something changed around the time of the Indy ref and our administration. The attitude towards Rangers fans from every other club in the country. Th final straw for me was when the Scotland fans booed Ryan Jack every time he touched the ball playing for Scotland. On top of that they then hire Steve Clarke who is someone who publically hates Rangers.
So I've not supported Scotland for a long time now. HOWEVER, I tuned in on Tuesday and although I didn't care pre game, the way the game ended gave me a slight sense of pride and happiness. Proud to be Scottish a British, it's always club before country for me, but I'm hoping that game gave me that little jolt to get behind the country again.

I'm a proud Brit Scot. 100% want Scotland to do well, however I'm not a fan of the attitude some of the Tartan Army have taken over the last few years, especially towards players ftom our club.

Listen, how some of the dafties in the tartan army choose to conduct themselves has no bearing on me wanting my country to do well, that will never change. They'll always be second to Rangers though, but I'll still support Scotland.

I'm not Scottish, but have adopted it as mine. There may be some way back as my grandparents were McTavish. Anyway, lived in Glasgow for 20 odd years, followed The Rangers for 50 odd and have a real soft spot for Scotland. My support is through choice and not birthright.

Just reminded me of a Scottish Celtic fan who told me in 2000 he supported Italy because the Pope is from Rome.
Of course I had to correct him on the multiple inaccuracies with that statement ?.

If Rangers or Celtic fans acted like some of the idiots in Tartan Army, they would be seen as louts and lifted, but it only Tartan Army having fun. As much as I want Scotland to do well don't want to be associated with some of these idiots,

Mols - Can't let a political party affect how you feel about your nation.
They don't get to dictate what is and is not 'Scottish'.
That party has not and never will offer a true platform for Scotland to become an independent nation.

Mols, literally the exact same as me. I was pretty much done with them after the way Ryan Jack was treated. I have pride in them for getting there and winning but a part of me doesn't care if they lose after the way the rest of the country treat Rangers players.
Only got enough room in my heart for one team and that's the Gers. I've never had the same feeling for any other team. I know many have "an English team" but I can't get behind that at all.

I am proud to say i'm a nice Scotland fan, i have never booed any Scottish player and never booed any opponents national anthem, i'm a classy dude and that's all i have to say thanks.

I keep reading on here about Scotland fans treatment of Rangers players. A small section of Scotland fans booed jack, the other 95% of Scotland fans the booed them. Could any of the ones suggesting this give other examples of Scotland fans behaviour towards Rangers players? There's idiots in every fan base, we should know more than most. If Scotland fans were so against Rangers players they certainly wouldn't have been booing everything Schmeichel done, but that's conviently not mentioned.
A few year ago in work 3 Rangers fans and 1 Celtic fan were sitting discussing how the Rangers players were getting booed at a Scotland game the night before, I had to remind them that there was no Rangers players in the squad that night ? I honestly think a lot of it is in your own heads, seriously!
